Hearts go out to the familys that lost a loved one, And prays go out for the ones still fighting <3 I truelly WOULD LOVE to be a soldier, but im a too young right noow <3 Im Proud To be A CANADIAN !! <3

  • AWESOME...i remember meetin da singer back in Angus

  • God bless all of them

We in the USA should take a lesson from our friends in Canada

  • @wikkedwickyonblogtv Hi I am a retired vet from Canada's reg forces. I stood with 135 other boys on our first day in boot camp. 13 weeks later only 93 of us graduated to go on to our assigned units. It isn't easy and you really have to want it bad enough. But the pride you feel when done is like no other. I was a combat soldier. When going into my first combat area with the U.N. peace keeping forces. Our RSM said to us " A ship in harbour is safe but thats not what ships were built for".

  • I became Canadian in July 2009, I am originally from Iraq (Muslim too). I am soo proud to be Canadian, I am a grown 27 yr old man and the tears are streaming down my face watching this. I LOVE Canada and I LOVE our Heroes, I never say I am Iraqi-Canadian, I always say I am Canadian-Iraqi. God be my witness if anyone dares to take an inch of this country I will leave my family and fight for it until I die.

  • @ib983 Bless you friend we are on the same side no matter our religious beliefs! Cheers to you.

  • @ib983 nice to here you like canada so much. Hey man you don't need say your muslim no one cares if your muslim, a jew, or Catholic as long as you can be a good person, and your proud of who you are you can make it just about anywhere in canada (:

  • @cubsplayre I know that first hand, I have been here for ten years, since I was 17 and I felt at home the moment I stepped into Canadian soil. I guess that was just what I was feeling at the time, I was emotional because I truly believe in what Canada stands for, I really do. Cheers.

  • 2 people r fags

  • @wikkedwickyonblogtv no two people cant but two nations can.

  • this just shows how fucked up Canadians are... LOOOL

  • @unreal2344 wtf u talkin about?

  • The soldier at 2:08 is from my hometown. When we found out he had been killed, it really shook the town. It's a town of 3000 people, so alot of people knew him. Our history teacher told us stories about him from when she used to teach him, and I couldn't believe such a regular guy would give up his life for the freedom of strangers. R.I.P Corporal Matt Dinning, with the knowledge we'll never forget your courage and bravery and your love for Canada.

  • 3:46 that soldier used to walk the very same hallways i walk today in school. This coming rememberance day I plan to give a speech at my school assembly and dedicate it to him. RIP Spr Stephan Stock. God bless the soldiers over seas, and the families of all coalition soldiers fighting for a better future. I graduate this year and plan to join the forces, but by the time my training is done we will have pulled out of afganistan, but i will do my best to honor my family, his family, and my country

  • Rest in peace all soldiers that passed away to protect our great land, your services will not be forgotten and you will be remembered.

  • i cried not going to lie,

  • 3:46 Stephan Stock went to my highschool. He was, and still is an inpiration. God bless all the soldiers fighting for freedom of afgans and canadians. RIP Stephan Stock. John 15:13 "Greater love hath no one than this, that one lay down his life for his friends"

  • I was in Afghanistan in 2007, and it was my job to organize the ramp ceremonies for 22 of these heroes. I had a hard time afterward with this, and the Highway of Heroes makes it easier to deal with. When I see the overwhelming support from everyday Canadians for our fallen comrades, it makes it feel like their death wasn't in vain and that they are appreciated. It helps provide closure. THANK YOU to everyone who comes out to it.

  • @73Farley THEY are all appreciated! By each and everyone of us in a different way. I never got the chance to see one of these sad "parades" on the highway of heroes. Hopefully no one will see another one.

  • wow when you see all their faces it makes the number seem so much larger. I would be proud to serve our country, and maybe one day I shall

  • OMG. Thank you my best friend was Dave Greenslade Killed in 07 on easter sunday this was so over whleming for me too watch

  • WOW! Well done! And sadly too true. Having had a father in the army and growing up worrying about him when he went overseas and now a son in the army, songs like this mean all the more to me.

  • i searched this song up because i have been in the army cadet for 4 years and on my 3rd year the guy who created this song came in and sang it to us all and it really made me feel grateful for all the Canadian soldiers who fight over seas

  • @texasdonkey Very good point!

  • When I first looked this up it was becuase I was joining the Canadian armed forces and wanted to learn a little more but after the video was over I started to cry and I couldent be more proud of the country I am now serving

  • May we never forget.

  • I am so sorry for you, you poor misguided soul.

  • fiendvanhier why dont you drag your ass to afganastan and fight terrorists and poverty lets see how cowerdly it is to stand up to terrorists huh well i am canadian.. fuck you eh o canada

  • @fiendvanhier UHM OKI.!? what the hell is wrong with you?! if it weren't for all these people who have given their lives you wouldn't be allowed to live the way you live, in a free country! yeh, the government may not be the best and they may make stupid choices but our military is on of the best if not the best in the world and its for us that they do what they do so we can live freely, all the things they have given up for us and you call them cowards.? you're absolutely disgusting.

  • You must be muslim! and Allah would be ashamed of you!

  • thank you for posting this... my worst fear is that ill have to carry a friend in a abx or that my friends will do the same for me god bless the fallen heroes

  • @JosephBernstein your pathetic hope yu like my pm

  • @JosephBernstein Afghanistan is a war zone, nothing more to people from other countries.

Their is no futur or past with war... Think about that.

    Talib = student

    Talibans = problems

Even in pakistan, they don't want them.

  • @JosephBernstein Your from Canada are you racist?

I would love to discuss this with you face to face. Iam a retired service member....I highly doubt that you would posses the courage to be able to do what my brothers did! But yet you can call them racists. It is so poetic that they fought and gave you the right to be able to talk about them in such a disgraceful manner.

  • all heros desendentes of the heros and fallen from ww2 before that desendentes

of the great war.now might be reunited in the after life

  • Im in week 7 at CFRLS, and the worst thing to see in the morning are those flags at half mass. Really messes us up.
