  • Absolutely amazing. I love it.

  • goodness, how long did it take you to learn this by ear?! i play all of my piano music by ear, but i cant play anything as complx or upbeat as this!!!

  • Absolutely amazing! I especially loved the sharptooth theme in the beginning, as well as the Great Migration part around 4:05.

  • No wonder there are ZERO dislikes.

    Your music is FLAWLESS.

This is the sort of music that actually has meaning. Thanks to Horner (and the inspiration of Prokofiev) these melodies have a timeless intrigue to them.

  • Your playing really has a magical element to it. I've heard a lot of piano music, and I don't mind saying this is the best music I ever heard from the piano. Hands down!

  • This just made my day :) You are so good! <3 thank you so much for learning this fantastic song. It warmed my heart and brought a smile to my face. Keep playing!!!

  • 4:11 LOVE :D

  • By the way if you like the Land Before Time score you might want to check out Bartok's Miraculous Mandarin and Prokofiev's ballets as it seems to be where Horner nicked most of the music from :-)

  • Goodness, you'll go far. Don't care what anyone says about 'lack of emotion'. If you picked that out by ear you're extremely gifted indeed. And judging from the appearance of your hands you are very young too. Well done!

  • Fantastic.

  • Your piano skills are amazing!! Just a thought but try playing with a little more emotion when you play the soft/gentle places in that piece. Do that and you'll have people balling their eyes out. Thumbs up!

  • @Merhianblade Thanks :) That's actually mostly the camera's fault - it compresses the audio so that all the loud parts are quieter, and all the quieter parts are louder. However, you might still be right - I think a lot of the time when I play by ear, I don't concentrate as much on dynamics. I'll work on that!!!! :)

  • @Merhianblade bawling*

  • @TorqueCuresCancer ehhh never was a good speller lol

  • This is absolutely incredible! I ADORE this song/soundtrack, and, as I love finding out everything by ear, I've found the basic theme..

But THIS is so amazing, absolutely the best!

You are such a talented pianist! I seriously enjoyed this.

  • @sunnydale22 @sunnydale22 Thanks for the kind comment! It warmed me up inside :3 yea, it's a really nice soundtrack. It easily holds its place in my top rated list on my ipod xD

  • Someone knows a program that create a MIDI file from this? I really want a sheet music to play this...

    Thanks

  • this really brings back so many memories I LOVE LAND BEFORE TIME!!

  • Thank you!

  • this deserves way more views!!

  • Ahh the nostalgia

  • this is one of my ultimate favourite songs in the world! im working on an arrangement by ear too, but mines not half as good as yours =P

  • @nicoleriskt Ha thanks. Yeah, it's great music :) Good luck with your arrangement!

  • THAAAAAAAAAAAANNNNNNNK U SOOOOOO MUCH Where could I find the sheet music for this piece?!?!?! Thanks again

  • @agentsmith11 I did the whole thing memorized by ear :P so yeah, no sheet music. Sorry! :(

If there's a specific part that you'd like me to make a tutorial for, I can try that (although I might not get around to it for a while, cause I've got some DRAGONS TO TRAIN (hint hint.. my next piano piece :P). I doubt I'd make a tutorial for the whole thing though, because it's quite long.

But yea, if there's a specific part then let me know, and I'll see if I can get to it at some point :)

  • I forgot how beautiful the music was in that movie. I am going to introduce this movie to my 3 1/2 year old and this motivates me even more. Thanks.

  • awesome piano playing i added it to my likes :)

  • @MagicAceMatt Thanks!

  • @hilightnotes np :)
