I like this movie, I think it's very good actually. It's not at as raw as the animated series or the comic, and the special effect during the hell scenes are some of the worst and ugliest I've ever seen ... We should have a remake very soon! McFarlane says the script is 80% finished. The reboot should ignore the existence of this movie and should be in the Silence of the Lambs/Saw/Se7en tradition on gritty and dark yet gory like the animated show and comic and not water down the character. I adored the comics since i was 12 and the animated show on HBO since i was 16

I saw this in theaters and enjoyed it but felt toned down from the comics but the r-rated cut improved it. Hopefully the reboot coming in 2012 or 2013 might improve on this movie and be as dark and faithful to the comics like Batman Begins/Dark Knight were their sources. It should be like Saw/Se7en/Silence of the Lambs with a hint of The Keep or The Crow. Maybe make it based off Billy Cincaid.

the trailer is actually good compare to the entire movie. i remember watching this movie as a kid and tought it was awesome, i watched again couple of days ago and... its not very good, could have been alot better

We should have a remake very soon! McFarlane says the script is 80% finished. In fact, it's not a remake but just a fresh new Spawn movie and McFarlane says it will be much darker..... more like a horror movie, but sadly- Leguizamo will not be the clown. The new movie will be serious eye candy with a shit load of stunning visuals and brutal creature FX according to the McFarlane team. Let's see what happens!

The reboot should ignore the existence of this movie and should be in the Silence of the Lambs/Saw/Se7en tradition on gritty and dark yet gory like the animated show and comic and not water down the character. I adored the comics since i was 12 and the animated show on HBO since i was 16

I saw this in theaters and enjoyed it but felt toned down from the comics but the r-rated cut improved it. Hopefully the reboot coming in 2012 or 2013 might improve on this movie and be as dark and faithful to the comics like Batman Begins/Dark Knight were their sources. It should be like Saw/Se7en/Silence of the Lambs with a hint of The Keep or The Crow. Maybe make it based off Billy Cincaid.

Eh. This movie was alright, but I'll stick to my opinion that the show and comics were better. Great story, but low quality acting kind of killed it. However, if someone were to make a reboot/sequel that would be unspeakable awesome.

Haha, the definition of failure. Spawn is no hero, far from it. He was a ruthless killer who got sent to hell and sold his soul to get back to earth to be with his wife. He killes numerous people. In what universe does that make him an hero? XD
I wish they could've made a good movie, using the cool noir theme that is in the old animation.
