The weird thing about this is the Lakers had many centers to use...but they used their starting PG to play the position instead..genius.

it wasn't genius..it was luxury son....the lakers had norm nixon to put in the 1 spot.that way they could afford to have magic jump center..otherwise they don't dare do that...plus the only reason they did that is because kareem got hurt...

Incredibly, the NBA was at such a low ebb at this point that, except for Philadelphia, L.A., and a couple of other cities, this game was shown on tape delay after the 11 p.m. news. Of course, the NBA made its comeback starting with Magic and Bird's entry into the league.
