What you don't realize is that the socialist public school system and Marxist media force your liberal views on me. Maybe the "religious right" would be a little quieter of liberals weren't waging a crusade on parents' rights or forcing their views on everyone else. This is a stupid, simplistic video.
lol! So the US media are calling for the workers to rise up and overthrow the ruling classes before abolishing all leadership and ruling as a collective mass? And of course they are calling for the abolishment of the line "One Nation under God" that appeared in the 1950s right?
That's your definition of bias? So I guess a conservative bias would be...I don't know...Hitler? The media obviously isn't calling for a revolution, but I'm talking about a slant. I'm not a conspiracy theorist, but certain ideologies do take hold in certain circles. That's all I'm saying. I'm all for people believing what they want to, but when public schools indoctrinate kids, when parental choice (a la school vouchers) is denied, I've got a problem, worker's revolution or not.
Your problem is partially a fabrication, but you seem reasonable. See, I don't like Pat Robertson, but I am Christian and I happen to be conservative as well. What you have to realize is that the Christian community, and even the "religious right," is textured. We're not as absurd as you might be led to believe. Give at least some members of the right the benefit of the doubt.
I was raised christian and just don't see any value in it anymore, but we can agree on what should be the guide for our country and this is how we can live together. Moderates enable nutballs like robertson and falwell. This is a problem of every religion - muslims should reign in their extremists just like christians should denounce robertson and falwell. It makes the religious seem more reasonable when you get rid of the fundamentalists.
See, I believe in evolution. I've studied a number of philosophies and ethical ideas with a relatively open mind. I've concluded that most atheists are reasonable people, and I'd be happy to debate with them if they didn't make assumptions. I'm generally willing to give atheists the benefit of the doubt.
When I see "I'm atheist," I make no assumptions. Perhaps you shouldn't, either. A number of Christians ARE receptive to reason.
I am not a bigot, I am intolerant of delusion and religious brainwashing. I am very angry that people are being lied to and given false hope at the expense of real freedom. The truth of things can be ugly but it is honest.
I hope that what you say is true and that you are receptive to reason. I hope that you are an open minded person. I wish you all the best luck recovering from religious coercion.
I am not an atheist apologist, please do not expect me to apologise for my views.
I guess my question is, which God or set of Gods should I believe in? Your arugment is that there's only one... and he probably hates Jews, Muslims, and Mormons (the OTHER Abrahamics). The Hindus tell me that there are many Gods, while Gnostics say that we're already in hell; that everything we believe to be good is actually just an illusion concocted by many "evil" Gods opposed to the One True. To be honest, Im an 'all God' athiest; I'm a strong enough person to take responsibility for my life.
Thisis right on the spot. It's the Christians that have abused this planet with their filth long enough. More video's with alternative view are always welcomed from others. Great Video!!!!
Shame, because as a christian, and have grown up in a religious house, I'm now ashamed to be christian, have been for a year or so now. I see it more like a cult thinking they are the only true religion.
YOU clicked on this link and YOU watched this, who are you to come posting messages here telling him that he's childish and to stop 'going on your nervs'? If you don't think you're going to like something how about you don't click on it!

My problem with the religious right is that they are trying to deny reason and rationality to put forth their own view.

I apologize for any offense, but trying to base law on biblical writings is unnecessary.
adobster 4 years ago
I agree, to an extent. I think the Constitution should be the basis of law, and that doesn't always lead to favorable outcomes for Christians.

See, when I see someone say "I'm Christian" I see "I have an imaginary friend". My mind just can't accept Christianity as anything rational or sane.
But hey, obey a book if that's what works for you...
