  • rachel mcadams?

  • On January 1 & 2, 2012 there was extensive chem-trailing in Ormond Beach west of Nova Road. The planes were generally entering from the north. The sky was a cloudless, pristine, deep blue reminiscent of a clear pool. Each of the massive planes discharged 2 ropy trails of smoke from the tail section, not from the wings where the jet engines are. By 2 P.M. these smoky trails expanded & merged to form a cloud bank. Until sunset we had overcast, occluded sky.

  • This woman was/is a Goddess, far more beautiful than Marilyn ever was. Am watching her now in "Pretty Poison great flick.

  • @persevere67 Btw did you know that the song "Ruby Tuesday" by the Rolling Stones was written about her?

  • Like Connie Francis, Tuesday Weld was schoolboys favourite in the 50s. In Return to Peyton Place she was at her best in the series, but for some reason here in UK the run was suddely pulled and it rather spoilt it for me and other fans too. Her husband Dudley Moore not only an accomplished actor, also a respected jazz pianist.

  • I saw her today in a VHS I bought recently, SOLDIER IN THE RAIN, with Steve McQueen and Jackie Gleason. Yes, she was preternaturally good-looking. She wore those tight dresses and high heels in the way that makes us fellows walk into telephone poles!

  • Very nicely done video. No gimmicks...no quick edits...you allowed us to luxuriate on her face. She was pretty and had the sexiest voice of ALL the blondes (Sandra Dee...Carol Lynley...Yvette Mimieux...Dolores Hart). She was gorgeous. I hope she's well and happy.

  • She always reminds me of Jenny Garth. I did not know she led such a hard life.

  • She looks like a real life Barbie doll!

  • yeah whoever it is on these pages that thinks" little miss hottie" here was underrated wasn't around at the time she came on the scene. she gave diffinition to the term "jailbait" at fourteen in her first film rock, rock, rock. and only got more stunning after that. by the time of dobie gillis, she was goddess status. every magazine on the stand had her on it. underappreciated?.....really?!

  • @muirmaiden, @oddsox That whole show had an amazing cast.

It was Dwayne's Hickman's acting apex (his breakout was on the Bob Cummings Show, another show ahead of its time IMHO), tho' he had a role in the unforgettable Cat Ballou and later became a studio exec.

But it was arguably the real start for Tuesday, Warren Beatty and Bob Denver. (Another reason it sticks with me is that my classmates nicknamed me Maynard, and tho' I was as much geek as beat, some old buds still call me that.)

  • @bigpics, @muirmaiden, yes, Thailia Menninger was something else, HA!

Way too much for a 9-year old like myself to absorb.

Her role in Pretty Poison was spooky-good, too.

    Hope she's happy now.

  • She was also featured in "The many loves of Dobie Gillis too" - but it's not mentioned here from 1959-63. Her first major role I believe that led to many of the above. Can't believe that was left out.

  • @bigpics, @muirmaden, yes, she was great on Dobie Gillis (way too much for a 9-year old me to absorb) -- also was spooky-hot in Pretty Poison.

Hope she's a happier person now.

  • a dream

  • Only those who appreciate beauty can appreciate beautiful people and beautiful things. Tuesday is a beautiful person.

  • Yup Dobie Gillis.

  • I remember her from the Dobie Gilliis tv show. Unforgettable

  • thats a Beautiful woman!! : }

  • SHE WAS GREAT IN THE MANY LIVES OF DOBIE GILLIS

  • 1.40 ...sigh :O) I have been told I look a little like her........xxxxxx

  • A Barbie of the 50s. By late 70s she wuz fat.

  • The photo at 1:41 OMG.... I don't think they came any prettier than Tuesday. How georgeous. All peaches and cream, and a touch of sugar too...Tuesday is a real treat any day of the week! In her younger days (and judging from the older photos) they were going for a younger Marilyn Monroe\Jayne Mansfield hybrid. Who knew they's produce someone way more beautiful?

  • Wow! Where did you get these pictures?

  • Tuesday Weld: WOW! Why is she not working today?

  • Very nice, sounds very much like Lesley Gore. They are some killer notes. And if she'd be born in my former domicile, she'd be known as Sheffield Tuesday.

  • 1966 Lord Love a Duck

  • I remember her from Dobie Gillis more than anything else.

  • A great beauty? No! A great actress? Questionable. But she exuded a sensuality that is hard to define. I would love to see how Richard Avedon would have photographed her. Her B/W fotos were more evocative than her color fotos. Hell, Steve McQueen sure looked happy.

  • A modern day Helen of Troy.....I can't believe how sexy this woman was.

  • Didn't she put out some music herself? Seems my sister and me had a single, Decca label maybe, long ago. (Probably from around 1967 or so when the only 45s we could buy were either knock offs or cut outs in 5 to 25 cent range.)

  • @marmas58ink, she did sing at least two songs, "Are You The Boy?" (which has been uploaded on youtube) and "All Through Spring And Summer".

  • @Muirmaiden Thanks. I'll have to check it out. ..the 2nd title, though, was I think the one sis and I use to have

  • Is she still alive?

  • @noelio67, Yes, she is.

  • I really liked the video. She was such a wonderful actress. I remember her playing "Madam X". I was 10 & I cried & cried when she died in that. I loved Tuesday Weld's stage name so much that I named my oldest daughter ---Tuesday Cathryn . Oddly she turned out to be a performer of sorts---a dancer. She's Tuesday Mayhew now & she's on Youtube.

  • Thanks for this video. Tuesday was ravishing and a really brilliant actress. You used my favorite Leslie Gore song too!

  • Beautiful women seldom win. Like butterflies they attract nuts.

  • Tuesday often omits from her credits her memorable 1959-60 role as the money-hungry Thalia Menninger opposite her "Rally" co-star, Dwayne Hickman, in the classic TV sitcom "The Many Loves of Dobie Gillis." Although attracted in real life as well to her beauty -- at first -- Hickman sadly learned that Weld was as shallow as her TV character. As he put it, "diificult, spoiled, petulant and totally self-absorbed." As Hickman wrote in his autobiography, Tuesday "was born to play Thalia Menninger."

  • Tuesday Weld with James Caan in "Thief" - one of my favorite movies.

  • A great tribute to a true American beauty.

  • stupid response.

  • I wonder what she looks like today ? I am making an assumption she is still with us. I know Steve McQueen is gone.

  • You forgot to mention her role (I forget the character's nme) in "Once Upon a Time in America". She was - and played - a very mature person in that movie. I was mwsmerized and could hardly believe it truly was Tuesday Weld because she played the character so well. I thought she should have been nominated for an Oscar.

  • One of the great lines from the TV show The Odd Couple - Oscar: Did I ever tell you about my dream? Felix: Yes, you and Tuesday Weld the sole survivors of a nuclear holocaust.

  • Tuesday Weld was amazing.

  • Pretty

  • Everything is Tuesday / Feeling light-headed and woozy

  • great .sweet Tuesday~!!

  • Where did you find those pictures? I've been looking but there aren't very many high quality ones out there. I especially like the ones at .38, .50, 1.14, 1.24, 1.40, 2.08... you have some really good pictures there!

  • Tuesday Weld was and probably still is gorgeous. They had the whole package naturally, it must make the likes of the actors today envious, they didnt need to have the botox or collagen to enhance their lips of whatever, it was all natural, todays woman can just dream of what she will look like after all the cosmetic work.

  • Many of today's women(sheep) don't need to use botox or collagen either, but the do it anyway. It doesnt enhance their looks as they believe. Instead it ruins them. Fools!

  • Lovely, lovely lady, great actress..very under appreciated..

  • Amy Locane fashioned herself after Tuesday in the movie Cry Baby

  • It's true that she was an underrated actress. I was always surprised that her star didn't rise higher than it did. Last film I saw her in was "Falling Down" starring Michael Douglas. She played the wife of Robert Duvall's police detective character, and that film also was underrated because it really was one of the best films of the decade.

  • I never thought Deborah Harry reminded me of Marilyn Monroe like so many have said--she ALWAYS reminded me of Tuesday Weld!

  • she wasnt shy in doing sex scenes in her films, once upon a time in america? that was mental!!!

  • Tuesday was masterful in Looking For Mr. Goodbar and brilliant in Who'll Stop The Rain. Hands down she shoulda taken home the Oscar for Mr. Goodbar.

  • She sounds like a lot of fun.!!LOL!!...but back in those days that was really frounded upon..but she was a beauty..

  • Wasn't she in the original movie version of Sweet November or was that Sandy Dennis?.

  • That was Sandy Dennis.

  • Thank you Muirmaiden for the information i do appreciate it.

  • This is so great!! thanks so much for the share 60snotforsale. I got it the first time you shared it with me, heehee, but I just love this song and vid :-)!

  • she was gorgeous. I love this song too.

  • She Was So F'n Cute!!! I Loved Her From The First Time I Seen Ms Pepperdine

  • She was never underrated and underappreciated by me from first time I saw her on The Dobbie Gilis TV show.

I'd take Tuesday over just about anybody any day of the week,

  • What a hottie she is i love to meet someone like her because she's so cute looking back in the 50's and 60's.

  • Her eyes are deep and lonely and beautiful. Special.

  • By the way...the song is "You Don't Own Me" by Leslie Gore. Talk about an underappreciated talent!

  • I see her compared with Carol Lindley and Sandra Dee in previous comments. Interesting, because the three of them were friends when they were first starting out as models.

  • She was a hottie.. sort of an American Bridgitte Bardot

  • what a doll!

  • Never made it? Under-appreciated? Are you folks crazy? She was IT. And had my "sole-survivors-of-a-nuclear-holocaust" fantasy been borne out, she and I would have repopulated the planet by now.

  • I remember going to see her in I Walk The Line. Wow, she lookeed good as the hillbillys daughter. She just kinda never made it BIG, sort of fell off the cliff in the late 60s. She was hot..

  • I couldn't take my eyes off her!

  • What a beauty and underrated is correct. I wanted to look just like her in HS.

  • See looks like a croos between Carol Lynley & Stella Stevens- yum!!

  • (PART 2) Elvis tells the manager he wants a sofa delivered tomorrow, the manager said no can do, Elvis said do you know who you're talking to? I'm Elvis Presley, the manager said and i'm little bo peep!

  • (PART 1) She was also in a film called 'Heartbreak Hotel' she starred alongside David Keith. It was about a lad in his 20's (whose name escapes me, he was also a famous actor) whose mum loves Elvis Presley, he thought that it would be a good idea if he and his mates could bring him home to meet her! It was interesting and funny, there is one instance when Elvis takes Tuesday shopping in a sofa store,

  • great tune to go with tuesday weld. suits her. she had it.

  • this is great. thank you for posting this. ms. weld was/is a great actress. she was w-a-y ahead of her time. hollywood couldn't handle her. they did not know what to do with her. she was sadly over looked and under utilized. i am sure she would be proud of this grand tribute. john

  • tuesday weld was quoted as having said that she wanted a man that would send her straight to hell...and make her enjoy the ride in barry gifford's book WILD AT HEART.

  • She had class, and hollywierd today has skanks.

  • Beaautifull song, She photographs extreamly well! I will always be in love with this sound and sight!

  • I have been in love with Tuesday Weld since first seeing her on the Doby Gillis TV series.

She is incredibly beautiful, playful, kittenish ambitious, and at the same time vulnerable.

She was surely overlooked as an an actress - maybe because of the full bosom craze of her time, but she always deserved better in her roles opportunities. She lost out to the likes of Marilyn Monroe and Jane Mansfield who won the boob race.

  • Tuesday deserves a star on the "Hollywood Walk of Fame" due to her career both on Television and in the movies. I wonder if the fact that she turned down roles in many hit movies was due to her lifelong battle with epilepsy.

  • She's so CUTE! :-D

  • Tuesday Weld was an under appreciated actress. She was also very beautiful and sexy.

  • She was so underrated...yet she has looks, and style. Love her!!

  • xxZ...I read that in issue of Paranoia magazine with Tuesday as the main article which lead me here and next thing I know I'm ordering 3 copies of I, Lucifer from the band The Real Tuesday Weld......

  • wonder what she's up to these days?

  • still alive and kicking.

  • Excellent video this is. I wonder if Tuesday Weld is still alive? Some may disagree with me but, if you look at Tuesday Weld closely enough does she not remind you of Jane Fonda or Peggy Lee? Song fits very nicely in this wonderful montage. Thank you. :)

  • She's the queen & high priestess of the Druids !

  • She is so Sandra Dee...so Sinead O'Connor...so Janis Joplin with blond hair. 1967 can never be repeated!

  • she was a real bad ass!i like her!

  • Just adore her and you did a wonderful job collating so many beautiful shots of her.I agree with Jes,the song, one of my fav,is just perfect! Thanks for this lovely montage and the history behind Tuesday Weld...never knew her hardships.

  • You wrote an outstanding tribute for this great actress. And your are right it is a perfect song for her.

  • I really enjoyed seeing these photos.

I remember Tuesday and Anne Margaret in the Cincinatti Kid.

I thought she was even more beautiful and sexy than Anne. That takes some doing!
