anybody that read about bloodshed needs to take something more up-to-date... there is code::blocks with mingw packaged for your IDE/compiler setup. Bloodshed is extremely outdated and buggy.

@gamerpros1 You don't even need to wait for college to learn software programming.

google , youtube, and dev bloodshed IDE(and GCC compiler) are all you need.

Many times I've learned more in an online tutorial than I did in my actual college programming course.

Professors tend to teach it as if you ALREADY KNOW IT, because THEY ALREADY KNOW IT.

Yet, a good online tutor like MRCPPHELP or BUCKY teach it with the understanding that you are there to LEARN.

@jcash365 Good response. It's actually true, professors teach it as if you already know about the subject. C++ is very hard for beginners. The average grade in my class was 60 % with no curve, so most people ended up failing the class (keep in mind this was just an intro to c++ course)

@Brunakz1 c++ is actually not that hard to learn. I'm fairly proficient enough now to write a half decent program(actually working on a program to be released online beta when finished).

I like c++ because it actually TEACHES rules and LAWS that operations don't magically self-execute like in java often times. Plus, it's not interpreted like say python so you have to know every single detail of what you're doing or 1 misplaced byte can crash a 1000 line coded program.
