The Qu'ran was originally an oral book it was also written down but because it was such good poetry many thousands of companions of the prophet memorized it front to back. Your bible even says not to worship any graven image, tell me what u do in church ? Muslims believe in jesus(pbuh) as prophet and messenger. Jesus prayed to God and God alone and NEVER associated partners with God.

The quran, too, has been translated in many languages & also affected by copyist errors like the bible with language vowels, consonants & spelling.

Bibles that're found in museums today hardly resemble today's Bibles.

Both the Samarqand MSS is in Tashkent, and the MSS housed in the Topkapi Museum in Istanbul are written in the script style called "Kufic". And not the earlier style known as Ma'il or Mashq. This fact is the reason Muslim scholars date these manuscripts no earlier than 200 years after Muhammad died. My question is: leaving aside blind faith and wishful thinking, what evidence do you supply that these MSS were written any earlier?

How can Muslims claim there are no textual variations in the Koran, when the Tashkent MSS differs from the modern Egyptian Qur'an in 5 passages: 2:284, 2:283, 3:37, 3:109 and 5:119.
The Tashkent MSS uses the word 'Allah' while the modern Egyptian Qur'an, uses the word 'huwa' (the pronoun 'he').
My question is: Which word do you believe are in the "preserved master tablet" and "mother of all books" in heaven?

Muslims claim, that many different translations of the English Bible will render a single text w/many different words & phrases.
This, allegedly, is proof Bible is corrupted.
But the Koran reads exactly the same way everywhere in the world in Arabic.

When Uthman became the Caliph, he appointed Zaid Ibn Thabit to reconstruct the quran manuscripts known as the Zaid Codex; ONLY AFTER MUH’D WAS DEAD!
All others were burnt. Politics within Islam!

Many of ur Qurra (memorizers) were killed in battle of Yamama.
There was no divine command from allah to write a book, some reciters like Abdullah Ibn Mas'ud & Ubay Ibn Ka'b made their own quran collection.
Ibn Masud's quran was used at Kufa, Iraq & Ubays's quran in Syria.
These different collections of quran contained many variant readings.
More than 1,700 R attributed to Ibn Masud alone. ("Materials for the history of the text Of the Quran" by A. Jeffry, 1937)

There are three codexes to the original quran.
1) Hasfah Codex
2) Abdullah Ibn Masud Codex
3) Ibn Ka'ab Codex
So it was Caliph Uthman who appointed Zaid Ibn Thabit to reconstruct the Quran known as Zaid Codex. The Quran today is based upon Zaid Codex and not other codices already in existence which were burnt. Islam, not non-muslims, was the first to have a quran book burning!

I saw an Islamic scholar on You tube and he said, there is nowhere in the Qu'ran that states a women should walk around just showing her eyes and wearing a black sheet. It scares the life out of my young son. He hides behind my legs when he sees them. However, the headscarf is modest and attractive. @calian0770 i think she means the way she is dressed however i believe that in my age i have seen many Afghans and Pakistanis wearing hijaabs which show their hair so it does stand quite irrelavent still. but i do think that muslim women should cover up their hair a little better then that.

@Factszz - Not Muslims. Charles studies (but is not a member of) the Greek Orthodox faith which Prince Philip (his father) was before marrying Elizabeth. That is still Christians, just a different (older) tradition. People might think Charles is Muslim because he goes to the Middle East but is just there to study Greek Orthodoxy and pray at retreats with monks.
