  • good good,not bad

  • I love this movie more than the 1987 serial.

  • 好矯情~我不喜歡

  • 單仰萍唱的。她是學王派的。

  • This Movie is Older than my Grandmother, but I love it.

  • These two women work well together.

    Xie Xie.

  • who sang this? Not Wang I don't think, lyric doesn't match vocal movement.

  • Here is the original version with Wang's real singing. 王文娟唱的真版本

  • DiYu feels lonely even thought there close to a thousand servants alone.

In large mansions where three to fours generations are living together, there are bound to be alliances and power struggles, as hinted in, "The Dream of the Red Chamber".

DiYu is an orphan, I think her father dies in the middle of the book, movie, so she has only her maternal grandmother who sincerely cares about her. Diyu is an outside grandchild, matriarch's daughter's daughter. In a way, DiYu is an outsider.

  • When her mother passed away, there was no one to comfort her as she has no brothers or sisters, so death is always on her mind. Now she is trying to adjust herself in her maternal grandmothers house.

  • I don't understand this ShangHi language, but I think she said that it is sad that no one cares to bury the beautiful flowers once they die.

Aristocratic girls have nothing else to worry about.

"Dream(s?) of the Red Chamber" is available in translated books around the world, and in at least a dozen movies.

  • 不是王文娟唱的

  • 不是王文娟本人唱的,唱的这么差,一点王派的韵味都没有了。

  • This is great clip. I love this. thx.

  • Great actress! Super best performance!

  • 王文娟是"她""She", not 他"he", She's over 70 now, from shanghai....

  • Just read an old news on a website, I think she is now over 80 years old today (9/22/2007)! Wang Wen Ju was and still IS one of the best! Her "Flower Burial" and "Poem Burnings" are my favorites.

  • the difference between "她" and "他" didn't come about until the 20th century. Even then it's not strictly enforced except mainland China. 他 has a human radical instead of man radical, so traditionally it refers to both man or woman.

  • 你有没有听过王文娟的啊,这就是他的啊。

  • this singer is not WANG. a very bad performance!! this is not WANG's style

  • thanks! excellent!
