Great to see this - it was one of the very first concerts I visited as a teenager, in Cologne in 1987, at the "Sporthalle" (the place been gone for years now). I remember at the end Richie would throw up his gutiar and catching it back for a couple of time, before he let it smash on the ground. Then he grabbed it by the neck and smashed it like Jimmy Hendrix ;-)
And after the concerts some guys were in front of the stage on their knees, looking for parts of the broken guitar.
very difficult to play an entire concert with a such "strange" personality (R. Blackmore) on the stage....
I saw the last tour with Blackmore in Milano and can remember that it seemed to me that there were two different concerts going on, on the stage: the Deep Purple concert (Lord Paice Glover and Gillan), and the Blackmore's himself.

a shame that ther seems to be really no pro-shot material of the 87-88 tour(s)...
but amazing how many boots you have... i suppose you have the full concerts of which you present some tracks?^^
