  • Thomas Sowell = one smart ass dude!

    Love hearing this man speak.

  • The difference between pre-1980s conservatives and post-1980s conservative is astronomical.

After the 1960s, the liberals actually moved closer to the center, but after 1980s the conservative took a hard right and gave birth to what we known today as the neo-con.

The old timer conservatives mostly declare themselves as moderates these days, or moderate republicans, etc.

So the main difference is while everyone else mellowed out in the last few decades, the conservatives got crazier.

  • @Neosaigo You seem to forget that classical liberalism is almost nonexistent in the Democrat party. I would argue that in America today's average 'liberal' is more a neosocialist. Look at the Democrats willingness to prop up business, especially large ones, and purposely try to direct us toward 'cleaner' technology.

Your "mellowed out" idea is very wrong. The private/public relationship has only gotten stronger and public spending has only risen. I'm sorry, but your premise is very flawed.

  • @Neosaigo The classical liberal opposes government involvement unless it's necessary. Where on the left do you see people opposing government involvement? Personally, I can't think of a single instance these days where 'liberals' are opposing government involvement or controls.

  • So there are people who WANT to work for less than $7/hr???

  • @Hodenkat

Depends on what you mean by "want". If you mean are there people who would voluntarily choose to work for that amount over all the other options they have, then yes. There are millions of people who voluntarily work for less than $7/DAY.

  • @mikerotcherson - They must either live on the streets or share a place with 10 other people!

  • even though the dumbass libtards will never cop to it, this guy is dead on about them

  • @duanescot - Nobody thinks you can get rid of everything bad in the world but I think nobody should stop trying to make things better for their children.

  • @Hodenkat of course not, but this is exactly what im talking about, the family structure and tough love way of raising kids has worked for eons, this new, "your kid is your best friend/do whatever feels good" libbie child rearing concept is nothing more than a monster factory, just look around, proof is everywhere

  • If you take ANYTHING Fox "news" says seriously, you're a moron. Entertaining editorial, but nothing close to news.

  • • If Capitalism was a computer program that was allowed to play out without any direct interference in its processes.... right before that program terminated the VAST majority of wealth would be in the hands of a very very small minority of people..... and unfortunately there would be no way to redistribute wealth once this event horizon is reached. Like any other economic system, Capitalism is flawed. In America the wealthy in politics/business can collude and exploit this flaw.

  • @MrSamySara But like you said, "If".

  • Uncle Tom Sowell

  • Is Uncle Tom Sowell saying that he would work for Walmart. At Probably Minium wage. This is what Uncle Tom Sowell is worth, I would pay him anymore. Thomas Sowell is a disgrace to America. He is dividing this country with his Bull shit.

  • @comptonproduction Name calling and ad hominems. That's all you lefties know how to do. You want a big government, be prepared to lose your personal freedoms. The left does more diving by making lower income people envious of the rich, by making racial minorities (other than Asians) into victims. Asians are the most successful minority, even outperforming whites; if blacks and Hispanics adopted their work ethic, they'd be just as successful. Emulate, don't complain!

  • @dtoiam "You lefties", Don't generalize. I want a Big Government, because there are more opinions, more people, more voting, more democracy in a big government. Personal Freedoms, which are all Social Issues, are maximised by the Left. Also, I believe in economic equality and racial equality. Asians are people like me, and so are blacks. And they're not a minority.

  • @dtoiam I would have to say Jews are the most productive minority. Asians definitely a close second. we should all follow their examples.

  • @straightfacedfsu Jews?? Minority?? So explain to me which of the following groups are the most productive: British descendants, Dutch descendants, Irish descendants, German descendants, or Polish descendants? Each of these are a Minority group in the US when separated by origin. Yet, they are all white (or white-ish). RACE makes up groups...not religion. So yes, Whites are the most productive, followed by asians (not close, but second)...

  • Congress should investigate some of the smaller Government Departments.

  • Thomas Sowell's a very wise man. The left, in proposing all their grand social engineering ideas, never take human nature into consideration. Leftists' can't win on the issues, that's why they constantly demonize conservatives; they call you a bigot and that you don't care for the poor. But is it compassion to keep people dependent rather than teach them hard work and independence. Leftism is also demagoguery, even if only indirectly: turn poor against rich and black against white. It is evil.

  • @dtoiam Rather wrong, I might say. I call a person a bigot if he's one, but not if he can explain his opinions. I can call some Lefties bigots too. Also, Stalin was a Conservative left-winger. New? Well, so was Mao, Castro... And many others. Also, the idea of Leftism is to bring the rich and the poor together, to unite. I'm rich, and I'm a communist. The idea of Capitalism, is that there are the rich, and the poor. Nothing else.

  • What annoys me the most about Thomas Sowell, and so many other conservatives and libertarians (although the same can be said about most people, including those on the left) is their need to reduce everything they disagree with to something easy to understand, so that they can spend a lot of time ridiculing and demonizing a straw man.

  • 2:45-3:06 Perfect sumation (IMO) of the key difference between Liberals and Conservatives. Couldnt have said it better!

  • He charitably says the left attacks Wal-Mart because they want to help the disadvantaged. I don't think that is true. I don't think they want the current employees of Wal-Mart to do better, they want those workers to be displaced by workers who currently make more. They see the disadvantaged as a competitive threat to the middle-class worker, and believe that threat can be removed by setting wages to a high level, so that the wage difference doesn't make it attractive to hire the disadvantaged.

  • he is so right i couldnt say it better, every1 can not be happy and it is infact things that is good enough, humans have many flaws and that shows in practical, not so much in theory. To have a goverment with more power just means having more potential to fuck things up

  • I WAS RAPED 3 TIMES AND ALL 3 TIMES BY REPUBLICANS :(

  • @hearitherefirst You were raped by your own stupidity.

  • @gamefreak1000000 your right i am disabled and and republicans took advantage and raped me........rick santorum is gay

  • RON PAUL!!

  • This guy is actually so stupid, it's hilarious

  • @zhersheys Are you speaking into a mirror?

  • He was a Markist until he got a welfare job working fot the welfare gobernment.

  • what college did sowell go to.

  • @comptonproduction Pretty sure it was hoover, that's where milton friedman taught at around the 70s era.

  • @comptonproduction Listening problem? At the beginning of the video he said "while at the University of Chicago, he took a class taught by Friedman".

  • Ron Paul Revolution

  • The difference between tax payer, and tax user.

  • "Compared to what? At what cost? What hard evidence do you have?" "There are no solutions, only trade-offs." These are words of true wisdom.

  • It's good to be on the conservative side of Youtube.

  • Less government, smaller government, less spending, and cutting taxes all sound good to me but, to many uneducated Liberals, that makes me a greedy white asshole. Liberals have really convinced America's youth that conservatism really spells out rich, selfish white guys. Tragic.

  • THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN LIBERIALISM AND CONSERVATIVISM IS THAT CONSERVATISTS DON'T THINK. THE JUST RUN ON ABOUT SOME STUPID STUFF.

  • @comptonproduction all caps rage!

  • @Sexualwendig CAPS ARE A GOOD THING.

  • @Sexualwendigo o kay, what. you write the way you want.

  • Liberalism, leftism, communism, fascism, they all have one emotional primitive souce: addiction to envy and hatred, caused by cowardess before life and freedom and before becoming adult and a self-supporting responsible being in this world. The reluctance to become adults and to accept the world as it is, leaves them in a permanent childhood. And the state shall perform the role of their parents. For real children, envy and hatred are natural feelings, for adults they are a sign of degeneration.

  • @Skandalos Greatest comment ever.

  • "

    Don’t Get Weak

When I see the worsening degeneracy in our politicians, our media, our educators, and our intelligentsia, I can’t help wondering if the day may yet come when the only thing that can save this country is a military coup.

    "

-- Thomas Sowell, National Review Online, May 2007

  • The Great Thomas Sowell!

  • i love it

  • I don't subscribe to either political party. The individual owns himself free and clear.

  • This is the fucking weakest argument for conservatives ive ever met. So why even try? Youre right, you have it in the bag, just deal with us monkeys and get it over with. This is why liberals get lumped in with progressives and conservatives wait to be proven right. By the way liberal is not a pejorative, dick head!

  • both terms have many meanings and interpretations. that's why there's so much miscommunication on the subject. people have a hard enough time agreeing when the lines are clear. when it comes to the liberal vs conservative argument, you have to be very specific on the issues and not simply say one is better than the other, or even call yourself one or the other because its meaningless without a context.

  • @AhYaOk Well in fact any rational discourse is supposed to begin with making sure you're terms are clearly defined. Looking for that on youtube comments is a fruitless pursuit. Here everybody talks and almost nobody has anything to say.

  • WAKE UP AMERICA - here is an intelligent black man that freely admits to having been a Marxist (like BHO) that tears down the left and gives credit to the right. Note: not because either side is perfect but rather because the right addresses the issues at hand with realistic angles of approach and realistic result expectations.

IF BHO GETS 4 MORE YEARS, OUR CHILDREN AND GRAND CHILDREN WILL PAY. HE'S A FAR LEFT LIBERAL IN DISGUISE NOW ( A MARXIST) AND IN 2013 A FULL BLOWN RADICAL.

  • @MBGOP You are fucking delussional with little to no grasp on reality. Take care wiping your ass, i know its difficult for you.

  • Liberals: hate the foundation of American and the Constitution.

Conservatives: Belief in GOD, the Constitution and democracy.

    pretty simple.

  • @uzimodem and you are the problem

  • @uzimodem This is a total and utter lie. Liberalism is the foundation OF the USA. The belief that all individuals should be free from the tyranny of government. Liberals are the true DEFENDERS of the constitution.

Not to mention... liberals are NOT the opposite of conservatives.

Tyranny is the opposite of liberty.

Excessive is the opposite of conservative.

  • @TJSC2 LOL wow, living in fantasy land arent ya BOY? Obumbles has trampled the Constitution many times, has said openly it interferes with getting things done. The old hag Justice Ginsburg said it would be better to use the South African Constitution then that of the USA's. Plenty of documentation of the libturds hatred of that fabled document. try harder next time BOY.

  • @uzimodem Man, I feel so bad for anyone who tries to have a real conversation with you...

It's clear you need to understand the meaning of liberal and conservative.

Furthermore, just because someone claims to be a conservative or liberal doesn't actually make them one. Their actions, not words, truly dictate the title deserved. If a politician is caught defying the constitution they need to be called out and held accountable for what actions they've made or haven't made.

  • @TJSC2

A classical liberal maybe, not modern liberals.

  • @TJSC2 The masses cannot differentiate between classical liberalism (now called libertarianism) and social liberalism ("liberals"). So I prefer you update your nomenclature if you don't want to be constantly screwed by other commenters.

  • @uzimodem Don't forget Obummer has also dissed a religious group. The catholics. What's funny is catholics are some of his biggest supporters. If he really is a christian, like he claims then he wouldn't diss another religious group. Also, they claim to keep religion out of politics, yet Obummer says something about catholics. Liberals need to be voted out, and that way they'll quit giving religion a bad name.

  • @puttputtking so very true.

  • @uzimodem I'm a far-right atheist, but otherwise I agree

  • @BMunich16 : right on.

  • @uzimodem pun intended?

  • @BMunich16:not intended.....like "RIGHT ON! I agree! Like that. :-)

  • Leave it to a conservative not to understand the intrinsic value and benefit to all parties concerned of integration in and of itself.

  • @hatchbx - Are you talking about forced integration? What about the intrinsic value and benefit to all of individual liberty? Is there anything about voluntary integration that a Conservative wouldn't understand?

  • Okay @gnomechomskylives, what do you want?. Read whatever you want into "Naggers" but charging racism is cheap.

  • @mrsrepko I have no reason to lie about it. I'm not making it up or even stretching a point. It's well known, I've seen it many times. Even South Park riffed on it.

  • @gnomechomskylives - You didn't answer my question. If you don't want economic equality, what do you want?

  • @mrsrepko YouTube's comment system is weird; you'll get alerts for one reply but not all.

Liberals do not want economic equality, that is the Right believing its own spin. We understand that in order to have equal opportunity you need even playing field. Markets are efficient but history shows markets are not always rational therefore some intervention is necessary. People should succeed or fail on their own merits but failing doesn't mean that people who fail should fall through the cracks.

  • @gnomechomskylives - How do you define a level playing field? Then how does one create a level playing field without violating the 'allowing people to succeed or fail on their own merits' principle? If a market is not rational then who gets to decide what is rational? Why do you assume some intervention is necessary? Doesn't intervention distort markets? How would you define falling through the cracks? If you mean people ending up homeless and starving, why intervene when there are charities?

  • @gnomechomskylives - What if the intervention violates my inalienable rights to private property and freedom of expression, for example?

I'm interested in your answer but I dare say that interventions mean making infinitesimal decisions to bring about a positive result and therefore impossible for any central command elite to do - especially without a great deal of coercion. Have we not seen over and over how government solutions create more problems to solve?

  • Thomas Sowell got indocrinated by Milton Friedman. Ayn Rand has ruined the country. The seeking of lowest labor costs has ruin the country. Just bring back slavery.

  • In my country one of th ebest compliments you can bestow on them is calling them liberal. Where I come from liberal means kind, considerate, open minded and respectful of anyone else's business. Conservatives and the right wing in general have a proven history of intolerance, bigotry and resorting to arms in the name of religious values.

  • @venomfanex In my country, both terms describe intolerant, smug assholes and are generally used to simplify things so stupid people can think they understand politics.

  • The liberals want to help the poor while conservatives want to stop them from being poor. Ain't that the truth right there.

  • @iedhunter44 couldn't have said it better myself..

  • @iedhunter44

What, exactly, is the conservative plan for stopping people from being poor?

  • @qabala It is like this. If you want a man to have fish you either fish for yourself and that person or you teach them how to fish. Conservatives want people to learn how to work and make a living on their own. Liberals want to tax people with money and give it to the poor. You stop people from being poor by teaching them and giving them the ability to make it on their own. You just don't give them a handout.

  • @whyamimrpink78

So, to clarify, is it the conservative contention that people are poor because they don't work?

About this education, is this the same conservative group that is arguing against public education?

I seriously doubt liberals want to simply give money to the poor. I suspect you are oversimplifying the liberal stance.

  • @qabala Education starts with the individual. You can throw as much money as you want at the public education system but it still won't make it better unless the individual wants to. So conservative groups aren't against public education, they just don't want the government to get anymore involved then they already are. They are too involved as is. People are poor because of bad decisions and they don't work(for the most part). We need to change that instead of bailing them out.

  • @whyamimrpink78

The unemployment rate is only 8.3% while the poverty rate is over 15%..The numbers don't support your assertion.

I would further add that most people's lack of education is due to their parents decisions, not their own.

Meanwhile, the middle class is wondering why they pay a greater share of their wages than Mitt Romney does of his.

And why Donald Trump can file for corporate bankruptcy, at least, four times and still get funding.

  • @qabala Those numbers went up when liberal started to put their policies in place starting in 2006. Donald Trump risked his money meaning he went broke a few times. Sometimes you have to take a few steps back before you go forward and that is what he did. He took a risk and is greatly rewared. I do agree, that at the federal level Romney should pay the same amount as everyone in the country. Their should be a flat tax in the US (or a tax on the state and no income tax).

  • @whyamimrpink78

Glad we see eye-to-eye on a couple things, but...

You can't blame "liberals" for the collapse of the economy. You can blame the deregulation of the mortgage market by both parties.

Donald Trump did not risk his own money (very little of it, anyway). It's called "corporate credit" and it's a way of borrowing money without being personally responsible. That's also how Romneys companies made their money.

I coach businesses on building corporate credit every day.

  • The house negro hated the blacker field negro. Thomas Sowell is your typical house negro Goes to 3 different colleges on minority scholarships on the tax payers dime, get's a good book, learning economist job and forgets who the hell payed for all that good book learning......should I puke now or later.....

  • Ron Paul!!

  • I'm a conservative liberal, kind of like Ron Paul.

  • @TJSC2 no one cares

  • @hardxxcorey You obviously care enough to reply.

  • @TJSC2 so you're a lunatic, in other words?

  • @EternalIntelligence No, I'm not a lunatic.

I'm someone who believes that I can make a better choice for myself, especially better then any government can.

The government is supposed to protect the people, not from ourselves, but from others, foreign and domestic.

  • Wow. So, basically, "No one is ever unfortunate due to reasons beyond their control and the government should simply allow those unfortunate people to waste away."

  • @beatdeat shit happens to everyone, deal with it. you've hear this before but its true: 10% of life thrown at us and 90% of life is how we react to it.

  • this guy is obviously a racist.

  • Comment removed

  • Liberals and conservatives can both lick the psoriasis on my libertarian penis!

  • It's hard to listen to these lying scum without vomiting . What a couple of tools .

  • @vasp99 lie? expand please or you just look stupid... everything on this video is an opinion formed through life experiences.

  • The people are the government and the government is the people. When conservatives say they want to remove government from controlling too much of American's daily lives what they're really saying is they want to take the control you and I have over our daily lives. We only have one tool to protect ourselves from corporate and private interest and that is government.

  • @dealmeidaable Bravo !

  • @dealmeidaable Yes the government is made up of people, but thats were the similarity ends. You believe that somehow your vote counts, or somehow you could become president. Sorry but you sir are delusional, as most sheep are. The people who control the money (Corporations/ Bankers) they choose, not you or I. This Liberal vs Conservative battle is exactly what they want, to split the country in half. Remember "United we stand Divided we fall". Government and corporations = same entity. Wake UP!

  • @LOSEURFEARPLZ I agree.

The horizontal, political continuum goes from left to right, but the vertical, political continuum goes from collectivism on the bottom to freedom at the top.

The left-right debate keeps the discussion at the bottom level of the 'collectivist-freedom' vertical, political contiuum where the issues revolve around 'whose ox gets gored' for the primary benefit of the international bankers and the international coporations.

    Search 'Pilgrims Society'.

  • @FilAmFan Are you tolberonetriangle

  • @MrJivePirate No, I am not.

I am a libertarian. My ideology is pro individual freedom and anti-collectivist. I am pro US Constitution (at least before the 'Pilgrims Society' started to distort its application).

  • @LOSEURFEARPLZ conspiracy theoriezzzz lawl

  • Liberals are so benevolent that they will give you the shirt off someone else's back.

  • @jm1chael Don't worry. The days of Supply Side economics are coming to a close. The last 30 years of Milton Friedman/Larry Laffer failure are coming to an end and the American people will no longer subsidize your lifestyle with tax breaks. This is gonna be great :)

  • @gnomechomskylives - Do you think so? I can't help but think that the right wing is taking over. America is becoming a 3rd world country. Even though everyone knows that supply-side economics and trickle-down-theory are the cause of America's decline, our politicians don't have the courage to raise taxes on the top 1%. The fat cats are getting richer while the rest of us are getting poorer.

Is it too late to stop the decline? I think so.

  • @MortimerTheClueless Judging from the GOP primaries, another 4 years of Obama is almost certain; I don't think any amount of money is going to change that. The Right definitely has lots of influence but I think social networking and online activism are countering the advantages over traditional corporate media. So no, I think there's a good chance we can get back on track.

That said: I have seen your profile before. Are you really left-of-center or are you yanking my chain? Just wondering.

  • @jm1chael That's genius!

  • Free people are NEVER equal economically. Equal people are NEVER free.

  • @NAGGERNUTZ Nice crypto-racist name; no wonder you hate equality.

Nevertheless, it's a fallacious to say Liberals want economic equality (since your binary intellect only sees contrasts not similarities). People should be allowed to succeed or fail on their own merits but a just society not only upholds its victors it does not punish its losers. Our founding principles acknowledge that we are all born with inalienable dignity; you would deprive others of that. If only you had some for yourself.

  • @gnomechomskylives He is absolutely right.Capitalism is the only system a truely free society can have .Systems such as socialism end up giving all control over your life to the government.

  • @MrSafetymeeting People have lost the concept of right & left; anything Left of Ayn Rand is immediately branded "Socialism." The Right has co-opted the meaning of "capitalism" to only mean Friedman-style economics. This is utter nonsense. Right now the system is rigged and only favors a tiny cross-section at the top of the economic ladder. What you defend is NOT capitalism: It is socialism for the rich and capitalism for everyone else. A system that destroys wealth, livelihoods and jobs.

  • @gnomechomskylives "What I defend"?What are you talking about? You've clearly confused me with someone else.

  • @MrSafetymeeting If I did confuse you for someone else, I am sorry.

  • @MrSafetymeeting If you really cared about control you'd realize that government is a small part of a bigger problem. I see it everyday: our lives, well-being & information is co-opted on every front by corporate interests. SOPA/PIPA is a great example; Media corporations are writing our laws; the banks are bankrupting people when it is they who should be paying up. We as individuals are under-represented but not corporate interests. This needs to change. It WILL change one way or the other.

  • @gnomechomskylives obviously.I love when people attempt to argue by agreeing with me.

  • @gnomechomskylives - Are you finished whining now?

The liberal sees the rich man and his fine home and says: "No man should have so much".

The conservative sees the same and says: "All men should have so much".

Now take your victim mentality somewhere else.

  • @NAGGERNUTZ There's two things I know you're not: you're not rich and you're not smart. But naturally a two-bit thug like you, who likes to play Paul Revere, is going to thump his chest.

Just remember, if you really are in the armed forces: you are a socialist; enjoy your socialized benefits and socialized healthcare. For a parasite you've been a poor investment of my hard-earned tax dollars. I'd tell you to go kill yourself but that would be just another expenditure on the government dole.

  • @gnomechomskylives - Thank you for the humor and the compliments! I am not rich, but then again, rich is a relative term. I am not rich in monetary terms, though I've earned far more than my parents, or you have ever dreamed. I come from a poor farming family. Never applied for nor accepted any of your "hard earned" tax dollars mainly because a bottom feeder, such as yourself, hasn't earned any. You have to be a bottom feeder to think like you do. Hang yourself. It won't cost you or I a dime.

  • @NAGGERNUTZ Congratulations. But your modicum of success is not an excuse for your rank ignorance. Quoting Milton Friedman is not a sign of intellect; I could train a parrot to do the same.

As I said, my tax dollars went to support you, and to show such willful ignorance and blatant crytpo-racism simply because you disagree with our President - your Commander in Chief - disrespects you, your uniform and this nation.

  • @gnomechomskylives - Yes, your tax dollars did support me when I was in the military... and you were constitutionally mandated to do so. I suggest you read the constitution and you'd realize that. In your case, the parrot trained you. And please Skippy, don't even try to lecture me about my political beliefs and whether or not I support the president. I took an oath to protect and defend the constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic. You really don't know much do you?

  • @NAGGERNUTZ As I said, just because you disagree (as is your right) with your Commander in Chief's does not put you in a position to determine whether he is an "enemy" that is not your call; that is We - the People's - call. Your philosophy is detrimental to us all and sets a poor precedent.

  • @gnomechomskylives - Wait, did I mention that I couldn't give a flying fuck less what you think? As for your accusation of "crypto-racism", I could change my name and still own you, so don't get hung up on such trivial rubbish. Don't stay up too late Skippy, you need your rest.

  • @gnomechomskylives - 1. You knock other people's intelligence but don't provide any evidence of your own by supporting any arguments. 2. "blatant crypto-racism" It would make things much easier for you if your ideological opponents were racist. 3. Quoting of people from whom we learn is no vice. Do we learn from other people or just pull our opinions out of our butts? Is it better to learn from the wise or should we disparage learning in favor of our own fantasies? Which is it for you?

  • @mrsrepko Excuse me but "Naggers" (as in NaggerNutz) is a oft-used substitute for Niggers in order to get around censorship (YouTube's TOS prohibit racist names so some are bound to use the substitute). That is a fact.

I'd be happy to discuss facts. Such as how the Chilean Miracle was no miracle at all (it took 15 years after Pinochet took power before the country broke even). How the last 30 years have seen an average growth of 2.0 GDP while median family income has only grown 0.7 a year.

  • @mrsrepko and if I recall, I came in here to challenge the assertion by, the aforementioned, Mr. Nagger that Liberals want "economic equality" that is a lie and a blatant misrepresentation. Not sure how many facts you want to bring to bear on that front. The Friedman/Hayek/Sowell types like to think like you have a monopoly on "freedom" and that your brand of capitalism is the only one that matters but it most certainly does not.

  • @NAGGERNUTZ

“A society that puts equality before freedom will get neither. A society that puts freedom before equality will get a high degree of both.”

    -Milton Friedman

  • @skifanatic333 - I couldn't have said it better. Thanks.

  • @skifanatic333

"Patriotism is the last refuge of the scoundrel; Quote-mining is the first refuge of a failed Chicago School economist"

    - Milton Friedman

  • i love liberals.conservatives love corporate tyrany

  • @dignerds Do Liberals love Union and Government Tyranny?

Spoken like a half wit who knows nothing of political philosophy

  • @Redeye1524 thats a half a wit more than you.my point is that tyrany can rear its head in many forms.conservatives rarely talk about corporate tyrany.lets keep ALL in check, and stop bowing to the wing nuts on both sides.but i guess balance isn't part of your philosophy.

  • @dignerds Liberals will never acknowledge that their politicians are bought and paid for by corporations and unions.

So what's your point? That you're a hypocritical douche?

keep government in check and the EVIL CORPORATIONS won't be a problem.

    Idiot

  • @Redeye1524 keep corporations in check and the big government won't be a problem. politicians from both sides are controled by big capitalist money, and conservatives never want to apply the rule of law because they dont want to "punish success".ALL ENTITIES in this country are corrupt.you cant blame everything on liberals.after some metamucil and a dildo, maybe you can figure this out.

  • He is 100% correct!

  • Thomas Sowell is a neocon fraud. Read "The Bush Legacy" on townhall.com to see him out himself.

  • how could sowell understand the way a liberal thinks if he went from being a communist to a libertarian? haha

  • @qualityrkc he just went from one irrational extreme to another irrational extreme, and now he thinks he knows everything because he's "been there"

  • The word "tool" comes to mind.

  • lol. The people on the left think they're wise, but they're not; we conservatives are wise. What a hypocrite. Funny that this was posted by user wideworldofwisdom. I can't really expect wisdom from a guy that thinks Obama is a socialist >.< what an ass

  • @evilsoda00 plus, this jackass makes an absurd claim that supposedly destroys any argument from the left. A claim that ironically can't be proven, and even more ironically, can be applied to conservatism. And what exactly are we talking about from conservatives? Big military and war are good. prove it. Gay rights issues. prove it. abortion. prove it. climate change. prove your position conservatives, i could go on and on :D

  • @evilsoda00 I don't think Thomas Sowell is a social conservative, but I'm not sure.
