Pain Elementals are fucking annoying. I couldn't even pass this map because of all of them. I even had to start over from map 16.

@AafTersheiV They will do that every single time. Quite possibly the absolute WORST placed Pain Elementals in all of Doom 2. Wide open and they can roam around and spit Lost Souls to their hearts content...

I've actually been able to survive the beginning part with the Mancubus and all the barrels without making it to the end. I took a ton of damage though, but it is surviveable.

Also, Arachnotrons are amazingly deadly in monster infighting. Look up "Doom Gladiator". 50 Arachnotrons can kill 4 Cyberdemons, whereas it takes hundreds of Imps just to kill 1 (it looks more amazing when you watch the Doom Gladiator vids)

@TARINunit9 As for the Arachnotrons, I can see it. They take 3 rockets each, meaning that the Cyberdemon has to focus fire on a whole one to kill it. On top of that, Cyberdemons aren't fast enough to dodge the constant barrage of plasma that comes from the Arachnotrons gun.

Amazingly, I once loaded a new game at level 25 and somehow survived the first chain reaction despite getting hit with like 2 barrels almost point blank... did like 96 damage though...

I hate this map so much. Took me plenty of tries on UV. The only reason you fly through these is because of the BFG. I never have it :(

@m3ntoZ Actually, I fly through a lot of these maps because of practice and repetition. I used to speedrun this game like, 7 years ago or so, but I do use the BFG a lot. Hey, it's there, and I have ammo and I can use it =P Also if you notice, I have used it strategically in a few areas, not just using it because it's ridiculously powerful ;D I can do this entire game without touching it, but it -hurts- for ammo in certain maps.

@AltimaMantoid Ohh okay. That makes sense. I usually waste all my ammo and then I'm left with nothing but Cells. I should mix and match though lol. If I had a nickel for every time I had to chainsaw my way through a shit ton of demons because I had no ammo... -.-

I never really liked Barrel o' fun always thought it was crappily designed but hey you get a couple of laugh out of it!

Easily my most favorite map on Doom II. Making every enemy explode, and watching them die is just fun.
