I think you make good points about the topic. I also agree the most effective way of dealing with people is being reasonable and relatively enthusiastic. A sincere thank you to a sincere compliment is, to me, a positive exchange. I prefer what's positive. But there a so many variables to this. A lot of people have shorthand communication with each other and other nuances. Overall though I like this video and the advice is sound from my perspective:)
