@bfhoward1 We fought this war to stop Communist government from taking over South Vietnam. Ho Chi Minh began a small pro-Communist government in Northern Vietnam. Many took his side and soon created and army and tried to take over South Vietnam. Then French and North Vietnam battled it out at first. The French backed up Bao Dai's government in the South and we backed the French, but when the Vietnam attacked us, we got in the game. We fought this for us.

Many took his side and soon created and army and tried to take over South Vietnam. Then French and North Vietnam battled it out at first. The French backed up Bao Dai's government in the South and we backed the French, but when the Vietnam attacked us, we got in the game. We fought this for us.
We did NOT fight this war for "nothing".

@martynrobin121 best comment ever...but it all depends on the leader you know. a communist government can be beneficial nationwide with a good leader while a democracy with a strong leader will bring relative prosperity internationally in comparison to other governments. i think a communist government is more successful for improving a country as a nation, but a democracy being the best choice if you want a strong position in international affairs

@TheBaoAndro The U.S and U.K already lost in Iraq, Yes they defeated the Iraqi army but the Civilians took up arms out fought for the liberation from the invadors and the Allies agreed to start there withdraw, In Afghan the Allies pay the Taliban not to attack them and if they will make peace talks. Its a joke while there soldiers die for there goverments interests they seek a secret deal with the Taliban.

(The U.N and Arab league agreed to a NO-FLY ZONE) The U.N and Arabs and even the Rebels didnt know about the S.A.S landings! Some rebels even captured the S.A.S both Libya goverment and the Rebels said British were sly, They "jumped through the window, When they could have come through the door"! The Rebels dont want troops on the ground, They cant be trusted.
