how did you get the valve in the aluminium bottle. Did you just drill it. By the way i have a very powerful air rifle, made of metal except for the air chamber. I was using a hard plastic bottle and it exploded when i over pumped it. How much PSI can this bottle hold? cheers man

dont listen to dugrat u can use a plastic bottle but dont use a 2ltr bottle for some resson it dosent work as well and takes more pumps use like a 33oz bottle i tried that and it works perfectly but dont use a air compressor to pump just use a regular bike pump it wont explode (use small bottles they are much stronger)

The long tube that goes from the pump is just the tube that comes with the pump for blowing up bike tyres etc. And the smaller tube that comes out of the bottle is a car tyre valve, its pushed through a drilled hole in the bottle and is already air tight. As for the other connections I just crammed in as many rubber washers as i could until it stopped leaking.

Scrap the ball valve and use a brass solenoid valve diaghram valve or a Plastic sprinkler valve thats kinda the same thing.. You will get more power.. Cool gun..

Two liter takes less time to get up to pressure, but has less power. Four liter takes more time to fill up and is bulkier, but has obviously twice the power.

I would say go for the 2L because if you had a 4L and pumped it up to 100psi it would only be the tiniest bit stronger, you may not notice the difference, its not worth the extra pumps, i have made a few air guns in my time and its the pressure of the air not the size of the tank

its not how much it holds..... but what pressure it holds it at.

think about it, some co2 air rifles are powered by a small co2 cartridge which is about the size of your middle finger. And yet it can still kill stuff. Size dosnt rly matter too much unless you are taking multiple shots.

actually your wrong,, a very small metal pipe may hold a lot of pressure becouse it is strong BUT a bigger container may hold less pressure, but more air and it needs more room for the air to resume its normal size, wich may also be affected by the size of th barrel.
