I sincerely hope that the drummer never reads these comments. And if he does, I hope he reads the one that says "Very sensitive free drumming on the drummers part" (mine) and understands that because of the nature of the song (it being written by Elliott Smith) he's not going to get a jazz audience.
Simon Barker is my favorite drummer ever. I think that if you listen carefully you will hear that he knows the song and where the time is exactly. But it's kind of inside of him. Only he could make it sound like that. And I guess it's personal, but to me, it sounds incredible!!! Incredible. INCREDIBLE>!
I actually thought the drums fit nicely with the very impressionistic lyrics and feel of the original song. I think if he tuned it down just a bit they would be perfect.
Stop the Madness!!! That's pretty good, I love it... I think I'll start using that as a tag line on our gig posters. Maybe you guys should try listening on a full range system, rather than your laptop speakers. In context with the full bass sound, the drummer is playing beautifully. Also it's a different style of drumming than you might be used to. More of a painterly, free -jazz thing. Maybe give it another chance. It's all good. Anyway, thanks for watching... Peace!
the drummer sounds like hes playing along to a completely different song, and then another song, and back to the other song.., otherwise its very nice
this is so beautiful <3 thank you ^_^

thanks finntaz, I'd have to agree with you there. Simon is sui generis. Amazing. Are you a musician? What do you do?

Does the drummer have parkinsons disease or something? Please break his sticks and keep him very far away from any drum kits. Stop the madness!
