Played this game b4 joymax got it, used to be filled with hackers until joymax got the game, I find playing as a slayer fun, but you seemed to be dying to high leveled vampires everytime you try to lvl. Also playing as vampires is much easier.
Melee vampires are far easier to play in this game, as you get a skill called "Blood Drain" which allows you to recover health from every mob as you kill them - no need for pots.
Darkeden has been ressurected. Go to darkedeneurope for free sign up. Just as many players as the original. NO HACKERS WHAT-SO-FREAKNIG-EVER. Fan-made and hacker-made anti-cheat shield actually works this time >_>. Fun extra EXP boost, More Dungeons, More Structured Quest Lines etc. etc. PLEASE COME!!!

Darkeden was a lot of fun when I played it, sadly eventually hackers started taking over and now they added ousters, which I dislike. The old vanilla vampires vs slayers without hackers is great fun, I played a circa level 130 vampire also.
this game is actually very very good, when i was around 10-11 i used to play it a lot, but for some reason now it won't work anymore, btw there was a "cheat" that when u select a weapon /armour that u cant wield, than u log out, than u log in ,and that weapon will still be on ur cursor and u can equip it no matter ur level, or requirements...i wonder if it still works :)

@jonisen96 you need to activate it via, your email. Though if you are trying to get on the Joymax server, you won't be able to anymore. I would recommend going on "darkeden legend". Many people still play this and has active GM team and always updates :D

MMOHUT make the best reviews in my opinion. I always look them up before I download the game, and don't try any of the private servers for this game. The private servers are old shitty versions, shitty graphics and nothing like the newer version. Amazing game, sure doesn't have great graphics but it is from 1997. If you're into gameplay then you'll like Darkeden.

DarkEden from Joymax was only good if you had premium, & had the cheats. It did have good timely events, but the game sucked, because speedhack, & autobuffs suited certain character classes, & made other ones suck ass like enchanter. Water Ouster became much stronger, because they could paralyze you, and do 1 million hits on you, before the paralyze subsided. War was pointless, as Ousters had most of the blood bibles with Water class. Overall a shittyass game, waste of time.

Wrong, It was not published by JoyMax, It was took over by JoyMax. The original team behind it were SOFTON. Unfortunately, They abandoned it. I think DarkEden players everywhere thank JoyMax for taking over this abandoned game, But are, As i am, I little peeved at the sillly model change for the vampires :P
DarkEden online = 150 levels to get before you do some quest that will change your skin... the first like 20 ~ 30 levels are easy... but things get hard... after you do the 150 quest you will instantly become lvl 151 and get 4 stat points and a new skill and skin... your max lvl is now 250... at the moment... the game has been out there for 13 years, but not a single player hit 250 yet in the 1x rate server

@animeboy2015 you have to be a premium member....so if you decide to go to timore you will get a message saying you cannot enter however this was not always the case....this only happened when joymax took over

Ah.. such nostalgia. I remeber when all of it was f2p, was able to roam freely... Maybe there were a bit too many hackers, still, it was better than it is now. I couldn't continue playing, because it is too.. withdrawn. Didn't have the same feeling to it... So sad.
let me enlighten the Ouster race just for those guys who dont know the game.. when the author says that "ousters are the simplest tribe to play" its not that true, ouster has the hardest gameplay and way to the top than other races, in that race you must distribute by yourself your skillpoints and attribute points (str, dex, int), unlike slayers (auto attribute and skillpoints distribution) and vampire (only att. points are manual, skillpoints still auto-distributional).

On my videos you guys can check my fire ouster build for PvP, Im currently also trying to build something for water ousters. Course I only play ousters the game is oriented for PvP, you chat, you do party, PvP a lot and level up before or after friends/rivals etc. The build is very very important also your items set. Vampires can blood suck heal, ousters have water ousters to heal, slayers have healers to heal.
The game is alright, too bad that the majority of the community is Spanish users who cannot speak English worth shit.
If you can speak English (not Inglish) then lets play in-game, I'm ggnome213 the Slayer that vampires all flock around (cause I'm pretty much the only Slayer that leaves town...)

There are a few times where Vampires camp the main hunting area for Slayers but they are only there for about an hour and once every 3 days. You can train with a gun, magic, swords without making a new character. There are 3 classes with 3 different play styles. The English community is very poor, anyone who speaks English is a total dick to anybody.

The only time you will ever get people willing to talk to you is when they want you to help them grind and then once they reach a certain level they completely cut off all communications with you. Nobody in that game is even worth the time.

I suggest dkperfect as it will have a source version just like the official version by joymax does only joymax sucks.

Wrong, It was not published by JoyMax, It was took over by JoyMax. The original team behind it were SOFTON. Unfortunately, They abandoned it. I think DarkEden players everywhere thank JoyMax for taking over this abandoned game, But are, As i am, I little peeved at the sillly model change for the vampires :P

Oh it's a lot harder than it seems...
DarkEden online = 150 levels to get before you do some quest that will change your skin... the first like 20 ~ 30 levels are easy... but things get hard... after you do the 150 quest you will instantly become lvl 151 and get 4 stat points and a new skill and skin... your max lvl is now 250... at the moment... the game has been out there for 13 years, but not a single player hit 250 yet in the 1x rate server

@UNF0RGIVE Once you hit 150 you can get 17% of the exp and when you JC you can go straight to 160, instead of 151, it's much easier.
The reason no one has hit 250 is because it's meant to be hard to reach, if people don't like that then they can go on other servers :)

@ryemckenna2k8 I Know the JC trick... And i know 250 is hard to get. actually impossible... But i said that because remo thought you just get levels quickly as hell. That's wrong. Which is why it's 13 years old but no one hit 250 yet

@animeboy2015 you have to be a premium member....so if you decide to go to timore you will get a message saying you cannot enter however this was not always the case....this only happened when joymax took over

this was amazing i played it on darkeden extreme lvl 160 vampire and lvl 160 slayer then it shutdown i hate this server that he made the review on cause u basicly goto play like monthly...

Ah.. such nostalgia. I remeber when all of it was f2p, was able to roam freely... Maybe there were a bit too many hackers, still, it was better than it is now. I couldn't continue playing, because it is too.. withdrawn. Didn't have the same feeling to it... So sad.

let me enlighten the Ouster race just for those guys who dont know the game.. when the author says that "ousters are the simplest tribe to play" its not that true, ouster has the hardest gameplay and way to the top than other races, in that race you must distribute by yourself your skillpoints and attribute points (str, dex, int), unlike slayers (auto attribute and skillpoints distribution) and vampire (only att. points are manual, skillpoints still auto-distributional).

I only play this game online and currently waiting more and new private servers;
On my videos you guys can check my fire ouster build for PvP, Im currently also trying to build something for water ousters. Course I only play ousters the game is oriented for PvP, you chat, you do party, PvP a lot and level up before or after friends/rivals etc. The build is very very important also your items set. Vampires can blood suck heal, ousters have water ousters to heal, slayers have healers to heal.

1) my screen is 1690 x 1150 and I wondered If i can play it on windowed mode
2) if I play it from joymax,can i order premium stuff from Bulgaria?

The game is alright, too bad that the majority of the community is Spanish users who cannot speak English worth shit.
If you can speak English (not Inglish) then lets play in-game, I'm ggnome213 the Slayer that vampires all flock around (cause I'm pretty much the only Slayer that leaves town...)

@SYNYSTER311 Alright, well the game is good. It is mostly grind based since the quests giving are not very detailed. There are a few times where Vampires camp the main hunting area for Slayers but they are only there for about an hour and once every 3 days. You can train with a gun, magic, swords without making a new character. There are 3 classes with 3 different play styles. The English community is very poor, anyone who speaks English is a total dick to anybody.

@SYNYSTER311 Not like this, take this for an example. Just last night I was healing up in town before going out to hunt when a couple of players were speaking perfect English. I walked up, introduced myself and they called me a faggot and walked away.
The only time you will ever get people willing to talk to you is when they want you to help them grind and then once they reach a certain level they completely cut off all communications with you. Nobody in that game is even worth the time.

Ah I rememebr this game. I played this about 7 years ago, back then they didn't have Ousters as a job class. I had both a Slayer and Vampire and really enjoyed their their own playing style. I would easily go back onto this game just for nostalgic purposes once more.

Character creation: you say the same crap. Everytime. "I don't wanna spend too much time here" but you do...always. Also, try to cut back on "right off the bat". @Peralisc What long distances, you can walk from North to South in about an hour, most games require 4 hours to at least get 3/4 way there.

Most players base games on what it looks like in a picture or video. he goes a bit farther and explains the beginning of games. The reviews are at the site he provides.
