@nationalbrat yes shooting at target will certainly teach a child violence. so what your saying is that a child shouldn't be introduce in how to properly aim a handgun to prevent injury, and proper safty rules so not to accidentally kill himself or someone else. guns aren't the casue of crime. people with criminal intentions are the cause of crime.

After watching this video I later watched "Bowling for Columbine" and I am much more informed on the topic. The movie never really did say why Canada has a lower crime rate, just that it did. The points that you brought up, however, are very true and very likely to be the principal causes for the issue. Excellent point.
