This game is way better than any of the MGS games to date except for MGS1 on the PS1. it's more complicated to figure out but the storyline and music is top notch and u can do so much more. U can use different mercs to complete missions, u can bring mercs into the mission with u and give them orders the same way in MGS4 online. The more mission they complete the more experience they gain and u can even release them from their contract lol.
When I got this I was s little diss appointed when I got this and found the only improvements were less choppy movement and this was coming from a fucking portable console so I like Xbox live capabilities for it though

@didayone that is a tough one... however.. while i do love SotC, i DO wet dream about the MGS games. simply gameplay and storyline (for me) is really good (and deep, like, DEEP) i like those types of things. if you like zelda though, without mini spawns, then go with SotC and ICO. (reason i say zelda is because the kid in SotC is just like link, in a way) but if you like stealth, and deep story with twists, turns, and maybe even a little wtf factor... MGS

@OpenSeasonOnXbots While it was decent on the PSP, I think it will be better on consoles, mainly because I think that using two thumbsticks for moving and aiming is going to be a step up from using one thumbstick for movement and buttons for aiming, since it's more precise.
Either way i'm gonna play the SHIT out of MGS3, that game kicked so much ass, I liked it much more than MGS4
they did say they are re-doing all the art and texturing because scaling from the PSP would be terrible to look at. I think by HD people expect MGS4 quality. The frame buffer will be 720p minimum and it's running at 60fps. Compared to the PSP release I think it's an improvement.

The textures are horrible, and I hate the HUD, but I'm not a whiny cunt and the only reason I want to play the game is to play the story, so I'm not bothered about the graphics too much..
What I don't like about Peace Walker is the fact you can't move while chokehold,can't slice throat(cuz no knife),enemies disappear after killing them,can't crawl,enemies are too damn blind,no blood FX(probably cuz of PSP specs so I'll let that one slide) and you can't drag enemies. The others? ALL PERFECT!
Well, the HD pack will be $50 or $60 so that'll be worth it, even if one is this. Nah just joking. Graphics are exactly from PSP but that's one flaw. I hope to expect this in 20-30 days. I can't wait much longer!

When i found out another msg game (besides rising) was coming to the ps3 i was excited. After watching this video, i was like what the fuck?! ... Terrible graphics, clunky movements, and the animations for sneaky and takedowns are awful. It early stages now, but i dont like what i see so far.

What they're doing is simply taking the original PSP version and displaying it in an HD resolution (as in 1080p) they never said they would do a graphical overhaul, they're just taking the game and running it in HD.

if this is konomi presenting the demo, how did they get spotted? im just pointing out that they made a great stealth series, then again if this were the xbox 360 version then most people would suck at adapting to what the controls state they are, for example triangle to hid up against a wall when it is actually the "Y" button because its for the xbox

When i found out another msg game (besides rising) was coming to the ps3 i was excited. After watching this video, i was like what the fuck?! ... Terrible graphics, clunky movements, and the animations for sneaky and takedowns are awful. It early stages now, but i dont like what i see so far.

@flame6753 Actually, if you get your facts straight, it's not supposed to be an HD remake. It's a remastering of the games. No one is re-creating anything, just remastering the already made graphics and sound.

@flame6753 You don't seem to understand what they mean by HD remake. They aren't redoing the visuals completely. What they're doing is simply taking the original PSP version and displaying it in an HD resolution (as in 1080p) they never said they would do a graphical overhaul, they're just taking the game and running it in HD.

@zapdos2 Man, your dad is awesome. I'm slowly turning my dad into a MGS lover, since my uncle loves it too, and told my dad about it, he told me about it, and then i told him that i was a fan, and since then he is watching me re-play MGS 'cuz he wants to know the story.

if this is konomi presenting the demo, how did they get spotted? im just pointing out that they made a great stealth series, then again if this were the xbox 360 version then most people would suck at adapting to what the controls state they are, for example triangle to hid up against a wall when it is actually the "Y" button because its for the xbox

Actually, I think the graphics really good for a remastered PSP game. Maybe you dumbasses aren't watching this in 720p. It's the same shit with the God Of War Collection. I for one look forward to this release. Enough with your irrelevant ignorant comments. Why don't you try REMAKING not REMASTERING 3 whole games. These people have deadlines. It's not like they can slack off and do whatever they want on the job. They have Metal Gear Rising to finish also.
