  • dont kill imean and ansisters

  • nice vid bro you better hope you kill any of stalins and sisters thogh

  • Those hats are called shackos

  • Muskets, not rifles :P

  • i live in austerlitz in the nederlands :D

  • I never like playing this battle in case i lose and majorly fuck up Napoleon's greatest victory lol

  • @TalonMercenary lol XD

  • Lol several pronunciation issues but good video

  • Good vid and I definitely agree, Napoleon Total War is prettier than Empire but Empire has more to do in terms of gameplay. World Domination FTW :)

  • @Th3Grift3r yeah an Empire sized world with Napoleon battle gameplay would be EPICCCCCC

  • Does anyone know where the intro vids are located or can someone upload them they are VERY choppy ingame

Also I find the strategy napoleon suggested doesn't work that well I just reinforced right flank and won on that side first

  • The Mameluks were at the Battle of Austerlitz as Napoleons Guard, they drove back the Imperial Russian Cavalry

  • good stuff mate

  • Excellent...but Austerlitz is not located in Germany but in Moravia which is historical land....part of Bohemian kingdom and used to be ruled by the Habsburgs, part of Austrian Empire. Recently it is located in Czech Rep.

  • It's a pity that the countryside doesn't look like the real one..

  • 4:41 is the worst cav charge i've ever seen lol.

  • goddam it french curiassiers look hot.

    nice video mr stal:)

  • This game maxed out looks like a historical paiting....

  • I gotten to European Campaign and holy.... that was some complicated map! Don't even know where to defend and what to buy it's was just too huge.

  • Also ich kann nur stark davor WARNEN sich ein Spiel zu Kaufen das über Steam Registriert werden muss!!!!!!! Habe meine "GAME OF THE YEAR EDITION" gerade in den Müll geworfen! Da wo alle Produkte die über Steam laufen für mich hingehören! Und der Support ist auch unter aller Sau! Kopieren und weiterleiten Bitte! Jeder der auch probleme mit Steam hatte weiss was ich meine!

  • "Marmalukes" is now my new favorite word

  • The way this battle was won in real life was by Napoleon actually retreating off the hill and down into the mist of the valley, where the opposition couldnt see them well. Napoleon left his right flank (bottom of the map) exposed and weak so the Russians and Austrians attacked. When they were fighting he charged up the hill then curved around and flanked them fighting on his flank. There were only two places fighting occured: Pratzen Heights (the hill) and Napoleon's right flank.

  • Aslo nice battle

  • Is there 400 men in your game, because the Russians look like they have 200

  • I totaly hate land battles I love naval battles!

  • I'm suprised that u neglected the right flank 'cause that's how Napoleon turned the tide historically

  • @fazugue yes, i had an older laptop on medieval 2 and was more or less same as ur case, and it lagged on some sieges and forest battles

  • I must admit if it weren't for our loveable tiny dictator, France would not have done nearly as well during this time period. I don't really respect the might of France, more so the power and charisma commanded by Napoleon turn France into a millitary juggernaut.

  • @matthewy2j he wasnt tiny he was average height for that time period

  • What frewd100 videos. He makes pretty good vids.

  • There is no "R" in "mamluke"

  • Man that was one rough cavalry charge.... 5:00

  • "Oh, no! Oh,no! I'm halfly into his face! "

  • Austerlitz (Slavkov) is in Czech republic

  • i agree dude, the hats are truly awesome :D

  • Your right flank didn´t deserve it! :D

  • @deathswangkiller24 it's not a joke watch this he explains it

    watch?v=ZKiOl1ysVmg

  • Comment removed

  • Is there a game where like better strategy tactics, with more choice of ammunition and weapons?

  • @Joel0277 Total War Series is your best bet in real time Total War RTS.

  • national gaurd are elite

  • 5-stars! excellent!...for cuirassier (breastplated cavalry) say it like " kur-rossy-aaayyy"/ @ milwaukee

  • @deathswangkiller24

Is your grammar and spelling supposed to be a joke? Because it's not funny.

  • I agree the hats are bad ass.

  • Zdravstvuite tovarishi

  • Is it worth buying it ?

  • @TheElephant79 ive had it a few days and its an excellent game. I just like the quick battles. you can also do custom battles and pick your own forces.

Read up on specs required though.

You need an internet connection for the steam account.

Mine doesnt work properly and hangs at start.

CTRL+ ALT + DELETE gets it off full screen view and you can click buttons and get it working then.

  • @TheElephant79 i think it is(:

  • @TheElephant79 hell yeah m8

  • @TheElephant79 it is so totally worth it!

  • @TheElephant79 YES!

  • This is actually a very hard battle even on easy. Tryed it on hard but i failed my 1st try.

  • @deathswangkiller24 its not a joke dude,he is Russian and he just idolized Stalin, thats all.

  • almost same era...../watch?v=wLa0mUWAiVk

  • if you dont have fire by rank strech the line, more will fire i dont have NTW yet, but i do that in Empire when i dont have Fire by rank lol

  • @maxayuda2 there is no Fire by Rank in NTW.

  • Video good, game great. Historical knowledge, geography of europe and the actual understanding of how words are said....very poor.

  • Only a shame the austrian infantry never wore those shakos at Austerlitz... neither did the french.

  • in my oppinion I am glad game developers are making a concearned effort to make games that depict this particular time period.

The Napoleonic Era lasted about 30 or so years, yet it was one of the most intense and violent moments Europe had ever seen, and in all honesty, its great that we have games about Rome and Medieval Europe, but all those i have to admit, are not quite as exiting and as decicive as this particular period of history and i hope they continue to make games like this one

  • If ask me what house? I talk about the only red house in the map. The house which is controled by russians. if we talk about what is more difficult, I think the Lodi battle is more difficult because the enemy general is very separated from your position and running. You must be fast, and attack at same time. A hint for LODI BATTLE: Move toward center and attack by left. When stablish total superiority in the left flank, use the dragoons to run fast and go for the scaping austrian general.

  • I have played yesterday this battle and lose in three times, but in 4th time I finally could win. Well it's a bit hard. The secret could be the square formation, take the river before the austrian/russians and combat in the house, and obviously use hard-fast forces as dragoons to chase and "kill" the Czar Alexander the 1st. But yes ppl, some things in game are wrong as mamelucs by example.

  • man, that battle was the crown jewel of his empire, the hardest battle he ever fought and by far the one that really hurt both the Austrians and Russians.

    long live the emperor!

  • @MrSuckmyballs32 Or even Vive l'Emperuer

  • VIVE L'EMPEREUR

  • @Warhammer40k1561 no as cleary stated in the comment of ondrejtis i was talking about the egyptian campaign.

  • have they put the terrible 57th in yet?:( it was the best french line infantry regiment throughout the grand armee

  • Awesome, 2000 units per side. And the National Guard at Austerlitz, sweet ;D

    That's gotta be epic.

    /irony mode off.

Well, the field does not even look like the one they fought on in 1805... The game's realism in the wide aspect leaves much to be desired...

  • The graphics on you're computer suck like fuck !

    turn the quality up ffs

  • I live like 2km from Žuráň hill from where Napoleon led his soldiers. The battle reconstruction is held every year near Tvarožná village so I don't need to play this game to see the units. :)

I've never played any Total War game except Shogun, which was excellent. Now, when Shogun II was announced, I'm looking forward to see it. Although I think it won't be as good as the first game because the first one was unique.

  • 05:28 They are not using rifles, they are using musktes (yeah I know it's a petty thing to remark)

  • 5:52 u mean Austrain -.-

  • @K1asH3r No he means German, as the Asutrians have to types of line infantry, German and Hungarian.

  • @Tananjoh ahhhh you're right

  • if ur goin 2 do a commentary on a game say the name right

  • @TheIronTapir man i hate that guy. Once I gave him some advice and he spazzed out on me because I said his graphics was running slow. lol. He's a real weirdo because he blocked me too. He's very protective of his graphics :D

  • lol look at these hats badass : )

  • Prince of macedon is sooo much better man but ur ok i guess

  • maRmalukes? LOL!

Napolean was so impressed by Mamluk skill (although their leadership was kaput) that he brought a bunch back with him from Egypt. Of course, European cavalry is so much better (according to CA).

  • i am very new to PC gaming and strategy games so was ones should i get i got this game already is empire worth getting

  • fire by rank is called fire and advance in this game, its a button with an arrow and a tiny soldier on the right side

  • god this battle was a pain

  • josef what do you say in russian at the beginning of each video?

  • The second time I played it I abandoned the right flank and concentrated my cannons and infantry on the left side, while putting my cavalry on the hills behind. I was able to wipe out the Russian attack fairly easily. The Austrian infantry forced me into the center but I was able to form a good firing line and finish them off. Those Austrians are crazy in melee!

  • This battle kicked my ass the first time I played it. I went with Napoleon's advice and sent my troops against the Austrians, while leaving the Russians to attack my right flank. Well, not only did the Austrians wipe out most of my cavalry somehow, they wound up breaking my entire infantry in a melee attack with only about 2 units of German fusillers vs about 10 of my units. Needless to say the Russians broke through the right and I lost.

  • Mar-me-lukes lol, it's "Mam-lucks"

  • prnceofmacedon IS THE BEST!HE ALWAYS WIN!

  • Would these settings be able to run ntw on high?

    NVIDIA GeForce GTS 360M 1GB DDR5

Intel Core i7 quad core processor 720QM (1.6 but turbo to 2.8)

    6GB of DDR3 RAM

Please help,if u need more imformation please ask.

  • @StylesisTNA yea think so , high settings for sure , ultra i think to

  • its funny how this Dessert Hardened Mamelukes now fighting in Harsh Snow haha.

  • @HarryMcGibbon no you don't........in Campaign if he dies,it will say he is just Wounded and then after a few turns he will appear in your Capital :D

  • JosefVstalin vs PrinceofMacedon....Epic!

  • mameluks were an elite force on the napoleon's army after the egyptian campaing :D (sry if mistakes bad english :D)

  • awsome

  • it may be bizarre to you but there were mamlukes at Austerlitz

  • A note on the animation: What's funny is that these soldiers are sliding against the ground sometimes -- so they should improve on this to make the game more realistic, but yeah, this game in general looks very realistic.

  • thank you for posting

  • can someone tell me are troops supposed to disappear when they are killed?? and if they arent how to fix it if its happened before also my game has lost all sound and i cant get it back

  • @aussiedevil224 Not supposed to disappear but I have no idea how to fix your problem.

  • @aussiedevil224 hmm, i had tht issue too. i raised detail from medium settings to high, then tried adjusting them lower from tht point

  • @pureindian407 did it work??

  • ha this might sound stupid but when you said a 12 lber thier not auctally messured by their shot weight its messured by the diameter of the barrel so yes it might shoot 12 lber shots but their not called a 12lber cannon o and their called guns when on land and a cannon on the sea and a canon ball is called a shot on land and a canonball on the sea

  • @siblilngs101 back then they were measured by the weight of the amunition

  • @Breanson yea on ships but on land its measured by the diameter of the barrel

  • Not bad, but dude,

    1) It´s not battle of Auschwitz, that´s a nazi concentration camp in Poland, you don´t wanna mess with that

    2) Austerlitz (Slavkov) is nowere close to germany. It´s around 100 km north of Vienna in th Czech Republic.

    3) As some people here wrote, mameluks did actually come from egypt, but surely not straight from there. Austerlitz is 1805, the egyptian campaign 1798 - 1799.

    Play, but study history.

  • @ondrejtis

    1) josephvstalin here probaly did not say auschwitz u just misheard him for my guess is as good as yours and josephvstalin knows his hostory probaly better than you.And besides the title of this video cleary says Austerlitz? so that is a bad error by you.

    2) Austerlitz as you said is in Czech Republic but the Czech Republic is near to Germany since these two countries are bordering eachother.

3)the french campaign lasted from 1798-1801

    learn your history and geography

  • @ondrejtis And Austerlitz is also the name of a Dutch town. It happens to be where the battle of Austerlitz took place (or close to it). Play, but study history....

  • @stygn dude it wasnt a dutch town, Austerlitz is a town in Austria, a bit to the north of Vienna

and this battle was so important because it was the last line of defence for the Austrian and Russian allies so that they could hope to prevent Napoleon from taking Vienna.

in the end Napoleon faced a coalition of both Russians and Austrians much larger than his own force and was able to defeat them despite the fact the Austrians and Russians had the high ground

  • @MrSuckmyballs32 Aaagh!!! It is pronounced Ow-ster-lits Austerlitz see. Normally I'm not so pedantic but when your speaking a foreign language I feel you've got to get it right.

  • @MrSuckmyballs32 Yeah, my bad.. I guess I must have been drunk because I really misread what I read about Austerlitz. The city in Holland was given it's name by Napoleons brother in honour of Napoleons victory in Austerlitz... I cant believe how I misread that. Thank you for correcting me : ) BUT! Its not in Austria, it's in Czech Republic like ondrejtis said. Perhaps it used to be Austria, but the borders have changed. Theres a difference between if and was.

  • @stygn i know man, it used to be Austria, but its important to remember that Europe isnt as large in scale as other land continents, the battle of Austerliz happened as an attempt of Napoleon to stop the combined Austrian and Russian forces from rallying along the Alpes and from there take france.

the battle was also decicive because of its proximity to Vienna itself, and thats why the Austrian Hapsburg Empire was forced to surrender so suddenly and under Napoleon's terms

  • @MrSuckmyballs32 I know it's close, and it used to be Austria, but Mexico cant really say they own the oil in Texas just because they used to own it and some of it is probably pretty close to the border to. So, you should have said "a formerly Austrian town (present date Czech Republic)". But now I'm just being picky. Well, I guess we've argued enough, have a nice day : )

  • @ondrejtis I'm really, really sorry for the reply I made earlier on your post here. I screwed it up completely and realize now that you were 100% correct. I'm sorry : )

  • @ondrejtis vienna is in austria

  • STALIN!if you want fire by rank...it is a setting that is on each unit of line infantry

  • Dude spread out your line on your line infantry. You will do more damage to the enemy and they will last much longer.

  • do u think greand are under powerd

  • @SERGIO789123 then why the fuck are you watching this. i don't like princeofmacedon his commentary is horrible.

  • @crimson177 Wow, then your like the 1 in a million who thinks that princeofmacedon's commnetary is "horrible"! Congratz!

  • @hmmhmmmmhh i actually like princeofmacedon's commentary too but i can totally see why someone wouldn't like them, his accent is verging on annoying.

  • I cant believe. This game is simple amazing.

    I love it.

Today i downloaded in directdownloadgame :D com

Remove :D and get it! This ll blow your mind!

  • "The Battle of Auschwitz!" Ha ha you're an idiot.

  • Battle of Auschwitz? Auschwitz was a Nazi death camp in WWII its pronounced auster-lizz

  • @lfd0311 You don't think the German's changed the spelling/pronunciation? The British, for years, called 'Nes-ley' chocolate 'Nes-els' chocolate. The British had a chocolate bar called 'Marathon', then it went on sale in the USA and was called 'Snicker's' and now the name has changed in the UK to Snickers too! I could give a million other examples....!

  • @HardWarUK For future reference: Austerlitz is a city in Czechia, Auschwitz a city in Poland. This has nothing to do with brand names changing, wtf?

  • @lfd0311 austerlitz is different than the death camp.. obviously noob

  • @walkertexasranger33 no shit? thats what I said, dumb ass, thanks though. I said auswitz was a death camp, not a battle, thanks for being totally confused by a very easy comment to understand. Have a nice day

  • @lfd0311 lol you are completely confused buddy... There was a napoleonic battle named similarly

  • @walkertexasranger33 uh, austerlitz? yeah, I know, thanks, it's pronounced auter-lizz, not auschwitz, you seem to be the one who is confused pal

  • @lfd0311 well your sentence structure with the English language is pretty bad. So that is why i got confused... I thought by you overstating the obvious that you did not get the point.. but you make your points by stating the obvious to nobody but yourself???

  • @walkertexasranger33 yeah, I re-read my original sentence and kind of confused myself. Kind of made it sound like i meant austerlitz was the death camp and not auschwitz. My bad

  • @lfd0311 Nope, he's got the upper hand here. He said "Aust-litz" not "Aush-vitz"... the former is the correct native pronunciation, with a silent "er". Sorry. :)

  • was also a battle that France won against Prussia but was decisive. and yes it is pronounced auster-lizz.

  • @f3wbs

    France against austria and russia!

  • @lfd0311 Austerkitz is a place.

  • @lfd0311 Austerlitz is a place.

  • Please i need help, i'm left handed and i want to change the group numbers instead of using the ones on top the letters i want to use the ones in the keypad. Can someone please tell me how? cuz i don't seem to find help anywhere.

  • @GSpeedEmotion Dont have idea, the only things is to go to setting and change the values. Thats about it.

  • toyhut2 i expect u to jump on macedons di ck

  • prince may be better at online but if u see stalins campaign ud be amazed how well he does in campaign

  • Princeofmacedon needs to give you some pointers

  • Princeofmacedon is way better.

  • @toyhut2 princeofmacedon knows fuck all about history and blocks people when they point it out

  • Austerlitz was fought in Austria, and mameluks were recruited by napoleon when he fought in the egyptian campaign.

  • yh its pretty crappy without platton or rank fire

  • napoleon just came back from egypt. That is why he got mamelukes

  • pretty good job

  • i kno ther is no more fring by ranks!! im so sad!! its does not make any sense. i guess u ahve to spread out ur troops

  • 4:47 cavalry charge fail

  • 2:34 no face seen

  • i have napoleon total war and its a good game, but its my favourit time era and the fact theres no platoon fire for britiain is really bad. but the british musketry is very fast compared to the french. witch is at least correct.

  • Those 'hats' are Shakos bra!

  • wow the gameplay mechanics are utterly ridiculous.

  • lol. marmelukes.

  • WTF, are the guys in front the only ones firing shots? The guys in the back ranks just stand there.

  • Mamelouks were in napoleon army its normal! He went back from Egypt with them.

  • Russians look 7ft tall and 120 pounds. Like skinny basketball playing soilders...?

  • You know with all due respect, maybe it's best if you stop talking about new types of units on the battlefield, and focus on fighting against the enemy, because being distracted while battling is a grave mistake. Not to mention you are commanding troops on a wide scale battlefield with your units seperated from the main body of the army in different locations of the map.

  • YEAH. Those fucking hidden infantry completely ruined my attack. Was rearranging my right flank, scroll back up and I see that one is routing and the other is very depleted. :*(

  • LMAO... This guy sounds like a smurf lol

  • good gameplay

  • why the fuck did they take away fire by rank!? isn't this sopose to be like 20 years AFTER the ending of empire total war!? (I know, I'm bad in english)
