  • I am trying to train my Hitmonchan but he is set out very differently from yours... He is an Adamant nature increase in Attack Decrease in Sp. Attack I wanted to make him into a power guy. The moves i taught it are Thunder and Fire Punch, Mach Punch and close combat, ability iron first, item muscle band it increases physical moves, i alwayse use the ability drought from another pokemon of mine so its fire punch becomes epic. in ur opinion is this good? Attack and speed is as high as it can get

  • fuck ya man hotmonchan is one of my favorite pokemon..... cuz i box which probably the reason why...... hes still awesome

  • Drain Punch with iron fist now does 90 Damage in 5th Gen. Counting Stab its 135! But i still think this moveset is more useful in 4th gen

  • i like it how you always use NU i also have a full team of NU and i use them against people, they perform great there really not that bad i dont like people who use a full team of OU tahts so boring lol

  • Every single Fighting Type should have Bulk up with max Hp and Sp. def

  • Hitmon's Evolutions.

1,) Hitmonlee evolves into, Buakaw Por Pramuk!

2.) Hitmonchan evolves into, Mike Tyson!

3.) Hitmontop evolves into, Eddy Gordo!

  • @N1ceV1d Wow, you should be in Gamefreak with that kind of imagination and names.

  • Even better in 5th gen now because Drain Punch has increased power. :D

  • Comment removed

  • Gengar Walls it

  • this set is gonna be really good in gen 5; 75 BP/10 PP Iron Fist boosted Drain Punch ftw

  • lol my hitmonchan way stronger XD

  • i wouldnt use it in OU, but i would hav toxice spike support, so that u dont need to use toxic and can provide more coverage. but good set none the less

  • Heres mine

    252 HP EV

    252 Spec Def EV

Adamant Nature (+attack - spec attack)

    Bulk up

    Drain Punch

    Earthquake/Stone edge

Thunder Punch( for UU/NU battles)/Ice Punch(for OU battles agains dragonites etc.)

  • whats the iv on it?

  • So I guess you dont believe in tiers?

Will you actually use these pokemon in a serious battle like a bet or are these just to show off what they can do/ you can do?

  • @Franchan10 I have used them in serious battles,I do it for fun and to be honest most times I get good results. You just need to know what you are doing and control what you have and you will be ok

  • it gets walled by gengar though :(

  • @BlazeX777 If gengar is the problem, couple Hitmonchan with a good pursuit mate =)

  • I run a different set. This would be impossible to run correctly, as of the current metagame, in wich Gyarados with taunt or Salamence will rain on your parade.

Evspread and nature are the same, but the moveset is:

    Bulk UP - Drainpunch - T.Punch - Ice Punch

This set works amazingly well, as counters gyara and mence who think they can just switch in, intimidate, and then DDance. Hits hard Vaporeon, Suicune, Celebi and other threats. completely ruined by Rotom-A.

  • Really cool and interesting moveset. It's nice to see that you can do something with Hitmonchan's good Sp.Defense and Drain Punch, especially since Drain Punch is probably one of my favorite fighting moves despite its mediocre power. I think detect can be replaced with protect though, since it does basically the same thing but has 5 more PP, letting you stall longer.

  • bull, my moveset is better

    thief

    mach punch

    sky uppercut

    shadow punch

  • @Hitmonchan107 lmao

2 fighting attacks and 2 attacks that just have no sense. And No evs or strategy in the description

You must be a troll but if not then ur nooby

  • @XxMforzxX ok then, to be more specific

    shadow punch= ghost

    thief= dark

    geddit?

  • @Hitmonchan107 lol no need for mach and sky

  • @Hitmonchan107 hitmonchan cant learn shadow punch bud

  • @Echoasity No it doesn't, and I'm not your bud.

  • my hitmonchan moveset

    Hitmonchan - iron fist ability

    close cobat

    thunder punch

    ice punce

    earthquake

does super effective damage to everything except ghost, psychic, fighting, and bug and electric pokemon with levitate

  • @ironmunky22 but those are some of the most used types in the OU metagame:/ if u mean UU then ok then:P

  • Great

  • After seeing this i am convinced i can work it nicely. This was great & i think you should post this to smogon so it can be seen by the battle community.

  • Idk how to use the forums

    Is it hard?

  • No not at all but you gotta sell the set like you did here & then there moderaters will test it.

  • how to get bulk up?

  • im goin to use this set in my new NU team thx man

  • :O Thats cool

Np,just be sure to give credit!

  • Yeah what epic turtle says,I prefer to have a counter ready for gengar if I even use it in OU,because all 4 moves are awesome. The only one I could drop is Detect, maybe for Ice punch to prevent being walled by grass/poison pokes.Or something else

  • Or you could put a gengar counter and make sure its dead before you sent out your hitmonchan and use it as a late game tank.

  • i could easily wall this with gengar. needs to drop a move for thunder punch or something...

  • And Tyranitar counters cresselia, roserade counters swampert and scarfmagnezone counters scizor.Theres always a counter, and for this guy,its gengar. Not that all teams have a gengar,in fact, theres no gengar if you play a NU match.

  • hi battle?

  • i could seee where ur coming from but u could also get a sweep going if u had nore attacking moves

  • awesome 5 stars

  • good stuff m the only problem is drain punch only gets 8 PP max

  • dude sweet set

  • nice moveset. btw are the pokemon done yet?

  • Pretty good.
