  • Black men have always faced prison not because of our crimes but because of our minds.

  • This is a great example Of Philosophical Ethics and how Dr. King applied them as Ghandi did, he was very wise as Paul was it shows that inviolent actions are much stronger than Physical actions. And not only did african Americans benefit from this but so did all Ethnicities that thrive In america if you hevent read "Letter from Birmingham" I suggest you do so

  • U know what niggaz would do to MLK if he went to prison today? They'd say he was a bitch ass nigga for refusing to use violence. Then they'd fuck him in his butt. Just being real. Niggaz today aint got no intelligence.

  • @ebonics4everyone Niggaz today aint go no intelligence.

My how well you prove just that. -_-

  • Thanks to Attorney Arthur Shores who took the letter out of the jail in a plain wrap,, this seminal letter about justice and human rights may have been lost!

  • @homerjaysimpson71 you are reallly stupid black people invented things you use daliy. They made things white people couldnt dream off so shut your fucking mouth you white foe.

  • If you have never read "Letter From Birmingham" you should. it will open your eyes to how rare and special Mr. King really was. Also read the 8 clergy men statement first so you can see the difference between 8 against 1....Mr King sure was special.

  • Letter From Birminham Jail is a true masterpiece. Brilliant.

  • I just read his very long and well laid out letter. All 50 paragraphs are necessary and develop a host of arguments for his cause. It was surprising to me then to just learn that he was only in jail for 24 hours. The clarity and focus of mind is evident in this.

  • I love how Martin Luther King ripped apart them 8 clergymen who wrote against him. I think they forgot Mr. King was Educated!

  • oh SO TRUE !

  • Burn in Hell you racis basterd.

  • you suck your the one who is races

  • I always hated the South for their ignorance of being prejudiced against people of color

  • This is why I hate generalizations. Not all Southerners are ignorant. My parents and I both have worked, campaigned, and protested for not just civil rights, but human rights.

  • I agree. Its sad that good people are lumped with the bad. Its so ignorant.

  • and im pretty sure the cops who arrested him werent so nice to him, smack him up to deter him from encouraging people who were put into another cage than the literal ones they had less than a century before. Doc probably turned his cheek and prayed the ignorant fools would first live in peace, then that theyd realize self evident rights belong to all.

  • this video however forgets to mention that the city counsel continually refused a permit to protest as is "supposed to" as a constitutional right. The Doc, XD, said, "justice too long delayed is justice denied", so he planned the marches to start against the will of the city during the easter seasons because shopping is popular then and many merchants refused to obey a law which require stores to remove racially cruel signs but didnt and wasn't enforced. Coming from a white person, hear the man.

  • If you ever get a chance to try and read this very lengthy letter which Dr. King wrote on napkins and anything else the guards would give him; you will see what a crusader and scholar he was.

  • What are your though on it I am going to do a monologue video on this?

  • Eli Vance!
