  • i live in the middle of no where alabama and we just got a frolf frisbee+golf as my friend calls it and i shoot like 2 over on 9 holes and i hit chains on number 7 it was so great it fellt amazing!!! if it had went in i wud have freaked out rock on dude!

  • Glad you got a course and that you enoy the sport. Thanks for you kind words.

  • I've noticed a few guys tape their pointer finger. What kind of tape is it?

  • The same stuff foootball players and boxers use to tape their hands and ankles.

  • sweet shot. Thats amazing how it just stuck in the basket like that.

  • I made a long putt at the Am DG World Championships in Nasville back in 2001 that went right through the basket below the rim and ended up in the basket.

  • Im going to play NOW!!

  • :) I am going to play all day in the rain in a couple of hours from now

  • did you put those black marks on your disks for any reason or is it just to identify them as yours?

  • The contrast between the black X (used a sharpie marker to make the X) and the disc makes it easier to see the disc on the ground at night.

  • haha I make sharpie smiley faces for the same reason haha

  • on the pdga tour would that count as an ace or would you have to drop it under the basket?

anyway, that was a nice shot!

  • According to the rules the disc wedge in the basket counts as holing out so it is an Ace.

  • Haha, ill try yelling at the disc and see if it helps..nice work

  • Stuck her in the side! Hell of a shot!

  • Thanks! It was sweet for sure!

  • cubby. i just got an ace with a portable basket that i brought to the park across the street from my house. i threw a champion valkyrie too high, but far to the right, it bounced off of a tree branch and into the chains. should've gotten it on video

  • Sweet deflection!!!!!!!!!!!! Congrats!

  • Hey Cubby, I just bought a disc, the Surge ESP by discraft. I own this, the Pro Destroyer, and the Valkyrie. I'm just getting into disc, are these good discs?

  • I love my FLX Surge, The Pro Destroyer and the Valkyrie are good discs for sure.

  • cubby what do you think about the champion leopard?

  • A great disc. My 79th Ace Video feaures the Champion Leopard.

  • whats the best disc ever?

  • Good question that would get lots of different responses. My current favorite disc is my omega supersoft putter

  • i just bought a pro destroyer and was only 11 dollars

  • Great disc. I used mine for lots fo throws on Wednesday.

  • nice music

  • Thanks!

  • how much does a good disc cost normally?

  • a disc made from cheaper plastic is aboug $6-8

higher quality discs run about $10-15

  • I've had one of those before. It was with a innova wolf on a 140 foot hole. It was pretty different. You might like to check out a couple of aces I've got on film

  • I will cehck them out.

  • what type of driver do you use cubby

  • My favorite driver is a Champion Firebird a great disc for Skip Shots and "S" shots. When I need distance I like a Champion Wraith or Orc. For straight drives I like the KC PRo Cheetah. I alos drive with the Beast, Valkyrie and Teebird.

  • If you were very anal, would that count as a hole in one? If you were playing pdga or something? It's more than halfway outside the basket. Anyone know the exact rules about that? We were discussing it last time we played.

btw I can only throw sidearm. My backhand only goes about 100.

  • Here is the PDGA rule (803.13) for holing out:

    B. Disc Entrapment Devices: In order to hole out, the thrower must release the disc and it must come to rest supported by the chains or within one of the entrapment sections. This includes a disc wedged into or hanging from the lower entrapment section but excludes a disc resting on top of, or hanging outside of, the upper entrapment section. The disc must also remain within the chains or entrapment sections until removed.

  • As my disc is wedged in the lower entrapment section (the basket) and it remained there until I removed it, per the rule it is a valid Ace.

  • That is why I was running down to the basket after the shot to make sure it did not slip out of the wedged position and on to the ground.

  • BAM! with the extreme even. i always carry one, it's a great "trouble" disc on the courses around here. (northwest illinois) and they'll skip just as far as they fly too. woot.

  • i have been playin disc golf for about a year and a half and dont have a single hole in one.

    congratulations!

  • Your day will come my friend, keep on playing as often as possible :)

  • Cubby, stop using witchcraft you gypsy

  • man i rip disc golf..... oak grove baby where it all started

  • Good to hear from you.

  • okay, so cubby doesn't throw side-arm because he broke his elbow? i broke my elbow/arm/wrist and I can still throw side-arm *shrug*

  • Glad you can still throw side-arm. I can throw short approach side arms :)

  • Yes,, i can only throw 50-75 feet side-arms now..otherwise it bothers my should. I need to learn to throw like cubby does...Can cubby make an instructional video?

  • Not that an instructional video from Cubby would be any kind of source of authority on the correct way to throw but I could cover things that work for me in my throw. I'll work on something.

  • yay! I would definatley count something form someone with 216 aces to be an authority.

  • Thanks :)

  • I'd recommend checking out pdga on here... I found a pdga video that was an hour long and about 20 minutes in, a pdga player/pro shows how to throw a sidearm.

  • Lots of good DG videos out there.

  • Cubby throwin down them Hole-in-Ones like it's going out of style!

  • Thanks for the comment.

  • Thanks :)

  • cubby is the bomb!

  • Well thank you very much. Screwy judges at Burnes Park, Little Rock, AR just don't get it I guess. It was an easy hole though, and a lucky shot.

  • Well at least you know now that it was a Hole In One. Congrats!!!!

  • Thanks for the kind words and thanks for subscribing :)

  • awesome!! you have a new subscriber! (me)

  • Nice ace Cubby!

  • Thanks for the congrats! I am lucky it stayed wedged in the basket!

  • Wait...I've had one of those in a tournament, and they said it didn't count. So I HAVE had an ace, when I only thought I had hit basket before.

  • If you wedged the disc in the side of the basket on your tee shot then you did get an Ace! The only thing that would not make it an Ace is if it slid out of the wedged position onto the ground before you were able to remove it. Congrats to you if it stayed wedged in!!

  • nice, i'm still looking for my first ace!

  • Thanks for the comment. Keep on playing, it will come. Let me know when it happens.

  • Sweet! I did this once, too bad it was on a birdie shot, not an ace.

  • I made a long putt at the AM Worlds in Nashville one year and it went through the basket dividers for the birdie :)

  • u the man

  • Thanks for the comment.
