  • SMT I and II are great, probably my favorite music of SNES RPGs too.

  • 8 bit reggae FTW

  • I believe im going to have to play this game, it looks amazing

  • Thumbs up if you want SMT 1, 2, if..., and Kyūyaku Megami Tensei to be released on the virtual console

  • @Chernobog2 A couple of the SMT games showed up as titles for the 3DS in E3 2010. Remakes!?!?

  • @Chernobog2 To heck with that! I want them ported to the DS and the PSP!

  • Well that is very interesting and very unique. What a wierd game.

  • Why is this in ENGLISH?

  • the game was given an unofficial fan translation patch a good bunch of years ago by the Aeon Genesis rom translation group. sames goes for SMT2.

  • I belive it's an unofficial translation.

  • @TheAbsintheReviewNet

Notice the title screen, it has the ppl who translated the rom on it

  • Wow, that soundtrack is just beautiful. There's a good mix between harder songs and softer, more emotional songs.

  • Many of these songs were outstandingly remixed for SMT: Nocturne, my second favourite RPG after Persona 4 that is.

  • el elohim eloho elohim sebaoth

    elion eiech adier eiech adonai

    jah sadai tetragrammaton sadai

    agios o theos ischrios athanatos

    agla amen

    (hope my memory was correct...)

  • what is that...XD???

    sorry for my ignorance

  • it's the little DOS chant/prayer/whatever they show in the opening cinema of the game. believe they're all just alternate names for God (except for amen, of course).

  • I really dig the battle them that kicks in at 1:33. Someone arrange that shit! :D

  • 6:31 sounds like it's gonna bust right into Don't Let It End by Styx.

  • One of the early dungeon BGMs in this game was remixed for SMT Imagine(used in Suginami Tunnels there), but it sounds best here.

  • bah they never did make a real english SMT huh?

  • I'd count SMT: Nocturne on the PS2 as a real English SMT game.

  • Yeah because it's officially Shin Megami Tensei 3.

  • are you kidding me?!? the snes games were awesome! Compelling surreal storyline and gameplay that was both unique in it's time not to mention a very old school RPG feel to it. Another thing I liked about the Shin Megami Tensei games( The SNES ones especially) was that every song in it I liked a lot( I could not choose a favorite song over any of them because I liked every BGM that played in Shin Megami Tensei 1 and 2).

  • i'm trying to play the snes but i don't have a walkthough and i think i need it. that dog like, dissaper one me.

  • This comment upsets me, big time.

  • Well, that's fine. But the soundtrack really was special.

  • The soundtrack was undoubtedly special. In my opinion, it was probably one of the most unique at the time (when compared to other RPG soundtracks of course). I love the music that plays 24 second in.

  • That's a weird looking game there. But interesting.

  • Fantastic on art and story but horrid levelling times

  • This game had pretty good credit music for an old snes game like this.

  • This is the best game i've ever played
