  • Isaac Newton believe in God but rejected the three. He was an alchemist but the church hate alchemy because it is the devils work. The bible state you should stone to death Deuteronomy 13:6-10, Deuteronomy 17:2-7, not cut your hair Leviticus 19:27, I say people should just try and kill me for saying Fuck God for getting people to write the bible Leviticus 24:14-16, If your homo, you better not worship God Leviticus 20:13, I am stating this because Newton believe in God and the bible is false

  • Newton's laws breaks down at the molecular level, as proven by a pantheist (Einstein). Perhaps God should have told Newton about that. lol

  • Anyone who read "The Principia" doesn't even need to ask the question if he is a Christian. Its very obvious.

  • Newton did believe in god, and even proposed that god must intervene with the universe in order to keep the heavenly bodies in orbit...

He was ridiculed for it...even in his day.

He was wrong of course, because he allowed his religious beliefs to interfere with his work... so yes, he did believe in god...and it made him dumber... even someone as brilliant as him.

  • Interesting that if you look into anywhere in the Bible that depects a vision of God or Jesus in Heaven the are ALLWAYS shown as 2 individuals and even God giving something to Jesus (sealed document) and nowwhere is seen the Holy spirit.

Also the father sends or dispatches the Son and The Holy Spirit but nowhere is The fater ever dispatched. People are filled with or given holy spirit. No one is given or filled with the Father or the Son.

  • No, it would have being swearing allegiance to Catholicism. He did not believe in Catholicism, but Judaism and Christianity.

  • @Magnon001

I remember that Newton believed that God's direct influence was prevalent in all things. He did not believe in the Divine Watchmaker, but an active God. However, he wholeheartedly rejected the Trinity, the immaculate birth, original sin and all of Paul's (Saul of Tarsus) additions to the bible, after the fact.

  • Interesting...but this idea seems more like all things CONTAIN God, not that all things ARE God (similar to the Lutheran idea that the sacraments contain the body and blood of Christ versus the Catholic idea that the sacraments are the body and blood of Christ). I don't think based on this quote I'd say he was a pantheist, but certainly he was close to one...unless I'm misinterpreting this quote.

  • Not quite true. Although Newton's understanding of God was quite occult, he was not a pantheist. He understood there was a strict difference between God and rocks, trees, and animals. Newton, however, did not believe in the Trinity and was very much against the Catholic and Anglican churches, due to his congregationalist upbringing as well as his denial of the Trinity.

  • Compleeeeetly false. He was not a man of faith, but he couldn't go public with that, but he never said otherwise, so who cares?

  • To think about it, ONLY GOD THE FATHER KNOWS THE END, ONLY HE KNOWS, NOT EVEN THE SON. REMEMBER GOD'S WORD.

  • thanks for the specific info, I got mine in a documentary. It said that Isaac Newton predicted the 2nd coming 2060, but they were probaly simplying it.

  • @UchihaItachi8989 The second coming already happened his name was Meher Baba. The masses never acknowledge the Avatar or god-man in his own time.

  • No, I watched a documentary, and Isaac newton said that the 2nd coming of Christ is 2060. I asked my uncle when will Christ return, his answer was "Only God knows, you know God has his own secrets".

  • it was not an apple, it was a fruit! get it right!

  • Newton was brainwashed into his belief as a child, you can brainwashed too is not a good argument. Its the same as sheep off a cliff!

  • what a joke ahahaha! sad thing is, poor idiots fall for it.

  • Smart person + Faith = Smart Person with Faith

Smart person + Faith =/= Faith being Smart

    you're a twit, sir.

  • Newton was one of the greatest people to live on this earth, creating new branches of mathematics when there were none sufficient to describe reality. This is not in question. There is no doubt that Newton was a religious man either. He felt he was looking into the mind of god. He also favored alchemy, despite it needing drastic revision before it even resembled chemistry. He was a genius but modern science has surpassed his wildest dreams. His discoveries did not depend on his religion beliefs.

  • This is just abortionist-militant gravitationists trying rule our God out of the equation.

Bible doesn't say anything of gravitation, so it cannot exist.
