This is the first time I've heard anyone say what I've long thought. I AM has become "thing" that is popular now and people think just as is articulated here. "I am perfect right now so I don't have to do anything." stops spiritual growth in its tracks. As I ask of these people sometimes, "If all that is required for Self-Realization is just to be as you are, then why isn't everyone just naturally enlightened?" The seed analogy is accurate.
