Black Holes are not phenomena: no one has ever found a Black Hole, so how can they be phenomena?
Since Black Holes are not phenomena - since they have never been found or proven to exist, then we have to default to the position of Black Holes not existing, or, at best, we must suspend all judgement to the existence of Black Holes.
Conclusion: it's not looking too good for Black Holes.
@Meshwork123 well, black holes have indeed been found. Reinhard Genzel discovered a black hole right in the middle of our milky way. Listen to Annalies interviews with Prof. Genzel and Prof. Hasinger on our website scienceface or right here on youtube.
"...not only has nobody ever found an event horizon; there is no laboratory evidence that such things exist. All reports of black holes being found are just wishful thinking - patently false ? unless you can provide the coordinates of a verified infinitely dense point-mass singularity and a verified event horizon. But there are of course, as you know, no such coordinates, because no black holes have ever been found." ~ Stephen Crothers
Evidently you haven't seen Stephen Crothers' work on Black Hole theory.
If you Google his name with Black Hole, you'll find a number of his astonishingly convincing papers.
Cheers.
