  • Looks great and very well done, but too modern. I wish they would have left the pool and I wish they had left the small square and port hole windows in a glass similar to the original, which was a glass about 1 and a half inches thick in a aquamarine color. But Overall it looks good and I'll have to come and check it out again now that it's done!

  • i have to ask did the local politicians spend tax payers money on that for there own bull.... if the town is almost a lost cause from what ive seen wouldnt you clean up the mess in the town before you put a real nice building anywhere in the area

you can chrome a dumpster but its still a dumpster. its a real mess that needs to be cleaned up or is that part of calif. not going green

  • Beautifully done! Thanks to all the residents in the area who volunteered their time and who refuse to give up on the Salton Sea.

  • @kraftymomma1979 Thanks. The East Valley Historical Society and the West Shores Chamber of Commerce are working hard to fix the area up.

  • Slworking2 field reporter! Thanks! Trip to watch the original 60's video of it, then the video of the abandoned/trashed age, then the new/refurbished. That's great. What's the main purpose of it going to be?

  • @voiceman1234 Thanks. Quite a transformation, isn't it? This building now serves as a museum and community center.

  • The Place Looks Great now. So much better. how long did they take to restore it?

  • @davidsquall351 Thanks. The restoration took just over a year. It got done ahead of schedule.
