  • Her range is really wide, do you guys think she can go up to high D? Now that we know she can also hit D3, I think she has a 3 octaves range. Anyway, I really like her voice and I really want to see Simone singing opera arias more often. She can go up to high C, do you guys think she can sing Una Voce Poco Fa?

  • In the phantom agony on the 2010-2011 versions she hits a b5, or not??

  • Simone has already sung Sweet Curse with ReVamp and I think she hits F3 at the beginning of the song. I think she can probably sing lower. Maybe we'll see it on Requiem for the Indifferent

  • @LupaN95 Yes. I was listening samples from Requiem for the Indifferent and it looks she really developed her lower range on this album.

  • @LupaN95 Yes, but she didn't hit that F3 in Sweet Curse, the keyboard does. But in RFTI, she hits D3! oO

  • @MarlonBSB I listened to Sweet Curse again, and I think you're right. Anyway, she can hit D3 O.O She's just awesome

  • I knew she had a high note on fall of Byzanz! :D What about the one in Fallen Family? Isn't it high too? :O I though it was a B5.

  • @NemoTheWayfarer Yes, it's Bb5, and she has a B5 in The Haunting! :D

  • @MarlonBSB Apparently, it seems that she hits higher notes as a guest musician in Kamelot and in SoS than in Epica xD

  • I actually have almost the same range (I go up to E6).

  • Vak Karapetian Simone Simons

  • What song is the last one when she hits C#6?? I havent heard it yet!

  • @Irinazam Fall of Byzanz.

  • @FrozenMermaid666 Yma sumac could hit a E7, she was incredible :D

"YMA SUMAC - THE ARIAS (and more!) - NEW CD (preview)" watch at 1:48

  • @tenten5002 That's right, Yma Sumac was really incredible! She really had one of the greatest voices ever, and perfect techniques! :D

  • I love her voice! It's just amazing! :)

  • do you know what notes does she hit on the phantom agony (paradiso 2011 show) and in run for a fall (MFVF 2010 show)?????

  • @agominator B5 on The Phantom Agony & G5 on Run for a Fall.

  • @MarlonBSB would you add them???? it´s amazing to hear those notes, and they are so unusual

  • @MarlonBSB Es de Epica?

  • @ladyroker9 Sons of Seasons.

  • 10:31 what's that song?

  • @ladyroker9 Fall of Byzanz

  • i saw epica twice, and I believe she can reach an A5 or a B5 but a C#6 is too high for her! i dont think she sing it, maybe someone of the choir or with computer help :p

still, she is amazing!!!!!!! i totally love her!!

  • @sasukenayrb907 Simone said it is her singing.

  • @sasukenayrb907 of cours it is, she would never sing in an album someting she coulndt handle with in a concert, i´m sure it´s real

  • @agominator mmm, i have my doubts about that....

she is an incredible singer, but this C#6 is too much high for her, and even for the other metal singers

Tarja and Floor can reach it, hardly but they can, and i saw a vid where Sharon reached it too, they reached it LIVE, so i will wait to hear this song live

i think maybe it could be a Bb5, but no more

    still, SIMONE RULEZ!!!

  • @sasukenayrb907 it´s just like 3 or 4 more higher than the one on unleashed, with some trainings more she will

  • @agominator actually the notes on Unleashed are not that high, simone use a technique that makes sound her high notes more higher than what actually are, she just put less beilting and make and support her voice with her nose

if you wanna check some really high notes like a C#6 look at Maria Callas, or even in the old Sarah Brightmans videos...

    still, Simone is

  • @sasukenayrb907 C#6 is not that high for trained singers. I heard lots of singers who even belted that note in chest/mixed voice. Also, to me it sounds like both Floor and Tarja reached the high notes with ease, both live and in studio. Simone has a great voice, and even if she's considered a Mezzo, I have to say that I really thought she was a Soprano at first, maybe because of her light/bright voice! :-P

You should check out Opera singer Erna Sack, and Yma Sumac! They could sing C7 and Db7!

  • @FrozenMermaid666 i know is not that high, actually the middle from a trained soprano has to be a D#6, but Simone cant reach it, cuz her voice isnt trained that much to hit that note, i´ve seen Epica twice and she is a magnific singer but even the note from Unleashed is pretty hard for her. She has to keep training her voice.

And i saw tarja too, and you can see the difference inmediatly

and theres nothing wrong with mezzos, some of them hit highest notes that some sopranos

    Yma rulez too!

  • @sasukenayrb907 I agree, Simone has a wonderful voice, but she doesn't have as much experience as Tarja, but with more training, she will become very, very good on high notes! And I know there's nothing wrong with Mezzos! I actually like all voice types, even Basses, hehe! :)
