There's a problem with this: The land they showed at 4 billion years ago wasn't green. Plants hadn't evolved yet, it was most likely black or red, and the same goes for the sky.

They're canbon based, they just use the sulfur for energy.

have they ever found sulfure based life on the bottom of the ocean? I heard something about that on tv at one point.

no everything is carbon based meaning all their structures are made of carbon, protiens etc.. now what they do say is that these areas are sulfer based ecosystems, just like our biomes are photosynthesis based. It just denotes the primary source of energy.
