The New York Bar (sadly no more) was a fantastic place to be. All the good old rock and roll songs were played there. Trouble makers were soon evicted, and I have had some wondferful nights there when Paul and Joe ran it.
Way before my time, but I would have loved to have been sitting outside a Saigon cafe around 1959~1960, sipping iced coffee and hearing this song played in the background on a phonograph.
Why Saigon? Because the Saigon music scene was heavily influenced by Western music of the day, which were way much better than the crap music style that the commies have these days.
@hdfhier The original is 3rd from the top on the listings by seetheheart and is much more dynamic from the days before she became a big star and tended to do more easy listening versions of her music

This song is dirty even by today's standards. I shudder every time I hear that male voice over.
