@MrBudwv - oh i do hope so ;-), they are pretty used to me being out there with hand made whistles and all manner of things bushy that make a noise, well i hope they are used to it by now.
When I was between 6-8 yrs old my Dad was showing us how to make these. We made them out of everything we could find. Especially the slats out of the old roll up window blinds, I'm 65 yrs old now so you know it was quite some time ago. When we started taking the slats out of blinds on the windows you've got to know my mother stepped in and put a stop to that. The slats were almost perfectly formed already so we really missed using them. Keep up the work and enjoy.

@TheJake507 - just carved it out from a a board a pared down with an axe and then carved the shape with a good sharp knife

@WeaponCollector - cheers Mike, we did get some funny looks from people when we were up the end field the other day, set a few dogs off as well.
Im going to make a really high pitched one and use it on Halloween night to scare the living daylights out of people as they walk past - lol
