Very true. Everything the EU does is painted as being all the colours of the rainbow.... great for everyone, great for the planet...surely only a fool wouldn't want what's 'best for all of us'.

EU claims can never be taken at face value and never seem to bare up to scrutiny. What's 'best for all of us' typically means what's 'best for all of US'.

CAP is a classic example... money supposed to benefit farmers is largely siphoned off to wealthy landowners and big agribusiness.

Well, I think the drink ban is a good thing, but the privatisation of public services isn't neither is the growing centralisation of power. 'More efficient' decision making, means listening to fewer people basically, and making decisions that benefit a smaller group than would otherwise happen.
