@bobom1 He is singing sharp -- I wonder if he doesn't know the aria very well, or if he cannot really hear the orchestra. Or if this aria has too high a tessitura for him. It's weird, and sounds awful! (although his voice sounds great -- a little manufactured in color and rather self-congratulatory -- but isn't that what this aria is about?)

Viel zu früh, meiner Meinung nach, dass er diese Rolle singt. Das ist zu viel Interpretation als wirklicher Gesang. Aber natürlich macht er eine tolle Figur.

Richtig. Ich weiss nicht, warum er ständig seine Einsätze verpasst. Die Stimmer ist nichts besonderes. Er profitiert wohl im Moment von der Berühmtheit seiner Frau / Freundin.

Die Stimme (also eigentlich das Material) ist so übel nicht. Das Problem für mich ist eher eine oberflächliche und gelegentlich fast dümmliche und unmusikalische Interpretation, keine Spur von musikalischer Phrasierung. Er läßt als Musiker vollkommen kalt.

Ein anderes Problem dieser Aufnahme(n) vom Dresdner Opernball ist die unfaßbar erbärmliche Qualität des Zusammenspiels und der Orchesterleistung. Das soll die Sächsische Staatskapelle sein ? Man faßt es nicht !
