  • Wow, that was a powerful speech by the woman from Iraq Veterans against the war.

    POWERFUL!

  • Same way I feel.

She sounds like she was turret gunner and saw some serious shit as she rolled around Iraq.

Think of all the guys that actually walk the streets and what they are going through and went through (myself included).

When it was good it was great over there but when it was bad it was just a downward spiral of unnecessary violence.

  • Yeah we should have never invaded, and at the same time we should have never supported saddam from 1959 until 1991.

We made him what he was, and then we brought him down.

When I say "WE" I mean the government.

  • Iraq Vets Against The War = true patriots!!

    They need more exposure.

  • In TEXAS there only power that the governer has basically is only to sign off on the death penalty...Bush when he was here signed off on more people dying than any govenor in a long time..THERE WAS NO EXECUTIVE POWER.... just like he said

  • Was anybody tear gassed or Tased at the DNC? Hmm...

  • will she also appologise for freeing them from sadams rule?

  • Nice to see the Iraq veterans against the war at the DNC, not just the RNC.

Very moving watching that girl's heart ache that she might be perceived as a nightmare to the Iraqee citizens. I hate war.

  • when mcain wins,th eworld will be thrown into pure nero esk ameriome,I want war, alot of fukn war,i want police,I wanyt nuclear winter,i want global melt down,i want to see the rotten rot,the good will expire too, there is so much less good that watching the greed and ignorant and hate suffer will be a pleasure.

With mccain 9/11 will be a day that will be remmembered as a holiday.

I am a leaf floating down the river,if hate and control is your desire than so be it.I will be happy the day I burn.

  • 2nd camera from further out would be nice

  • Agreed. Getting paid to do this would also be nice. :)

  • haha! yeah, bocbo.

    ungrateful jerk.

    :D

  • i don't think you will be able to keep it cheery in this enviroment. this is serious issues.

  • I wonder if Marta will interview Alex Jones?

  • I was there watching the anti war march.. I wish I saw Marta while I was there..

  • "McCain is just a liberal in sheep's clothing."

Wake up and smell the manure, man. McCain and Obama are both Moderates. More importantly, they're both politicians, and will do anything to get your vote.

Lying is par for the course.

  • hahahaaaaaa! wow, zachsmind. that is the most ridiculous thing i've heard in a long time. actually, no its not, but its still incredibly ridiculous.

did you just describe obama as a "moderate"? a MODERATE!?! the man who has the MOST liberal voting record in the senate!? the man who believes in abortion in the 4TH trimester!? the man who couldnt be anymore liberal if he started wearing khaki coveralls and calling everyone "comrade"?

whatever "zach's mind" is full of, its certainly not the facts

  • redefiningcool: "whatever "zach's mind" is full of, its certainly not the facts"

And whatever you're redefining, it's certainly not cool.

Both McCain and Obmama actively seek The Center cuz that's where everyone believes the most votes are. True, Obama IS more liberal due to his past voting record. Likewise, though an occasional maverick, McCain tends to be more conservative compared to others in his own party.

This is the LIE. They are playing with us. They are NOT what they claim to be.

  • lie? i do not deny that obama is lying, he lies out both sides of his mouth at once, thats how the man works.

mccain, however, is a man of his word. and though i have disagreed with him on numerous issues, his is at least authentic. what you see is what you get.

yes, mccain leans towards the conservative side of the republican party, and thank GOD for that!

  • McCain is not a man of his word. He is a politician.

On multiple occasions he has feigned ignorance where previous public statements on the same topic revealed him to be wrong on the same topic. He also calls himself a force for change in Washington when he's towed the party line, only to suit his own ends.

If you consider yourself a conservative, and think McCain is on your side, he has you hoodwinked. You are a sheep, and you're right where McCain wants you. Ready to shear. Baaah.

  • obama isn't a man of his word either... the difference between obama & mcCain-McCain has made his views clear from the beginning...Obama however has changed his view on politics as much as he changes his underwear and as QUICKLY as the money roles in from the corporations so that his views fall more & more closely in line with mCcains... (wanna give this a thumbs down-be my guest-the TRUTH is always a thumbs down) Only 4 candidates wish to repeal the patriot act Barr/ Nader/ Baldwin/ McKinney

  • The four names you claim "wish to repeal the patriot act" say so ONLY because they believe there are enough people who want it repealed, that could help them get elected.

You say Obama is not a man of his word, but McCain is? WTF? McCain has been known to make exact opposite statements in speeches on the same DAY to different audiences!

I say POLITICIANS are not men or women of their word. They serve whoever or whatever pays their bills, and that's NOT "We The People."

  • 1. I am not claiming on those four individuals... they are for the constitution. 2. Obama=McCain in my opinion... 3. If you believe that absolutely no politician is a man of their word..than do some current day reasearch or choose to remain ill informed in that aspect. Those 4 individuals don't accept pac money from corporations or other Those 4 indidividuals are candidates-I wouldn't call them a politician-that would be an insult.

  • Thank you for that report, Marta. I know it must be hard for you and your friends to do this on your own time with limited resources. I gotta say I find myself putting more trust in what you report than in the established news media outlets, even tho you make no bones about having tongue firmly planted in cheek.

This was some great capture of events. I don't watch regular news much anymore but I doubt they woulda found the honesty that you did.

  • Some of these Maccain fanatics are like Christians at a Hare Krishna street parade. Pitiful.

  • Damn! Might fine episode! Definitely one of your best.

  • "im still here!" lol

  • Really Good Episode One Of your Best one i think so far Marta Good Job and keep it up..

    5 Stars as always.....

  • I was really moved by those vets. :'(

    I've always been anti-war...

What is it good for? Absolutely nothing!

    Nothing! Say it again!

    (Sorry, couldn't resist, I'm a goofball).

  • Good reporting Marta! wow, those soldiers hit me in the heart. I wish i could have been there.

  • Wow, Marta. That was excellent coverage. Get editing too. Thank you for bringing us the footage of not only the protesters but of the Iraq War vets. The one woman soldier's speech gave me goosebumps and sadness. One of your best that I have seen. One of the most relevant and timely videos on youtube. 5 stars.

  • I meant Great editing (not get editing).

  • wow, its such a shame to see u.s. soldiers so deceived and misled. can you imagine? not even being able to believe in your own cause?? how depressing!

and that young soldier that referred to our great country as "a police state"? as much as i honor his service to our country, he truly knows absolutely nothing (NOTHING) of "police states".

  • Mislead by their own first hand experiences? You need a reality check.

  • okay, awffle.

first hand or not, they are still misled. they are misled about the REASON for the war they are fighting. and who can blame them. with a 24/7 regurgitation by the media of lie after lie about iraq, it stands to reason that some of these poor soldiers would be taken in.

  • wow...the entire issue will bring about riots i see an awful lot of anguish and frustration happening

  • HaHa Wake up sheep. Obama is run by Zbigniew Brzezinski and John McCain is run by his son Ian Brzezinski.

Google the CFR and the Trilateral Commission = Elite banksters and corporation own America not you the elections are a fraud.

    DailyNewscaster com

  • My favourite episode, well done. The footage of the upset female soldier almost made me cry!

  • Nice innovative, balanced coverage, Marta.

I assume we all know about the ABC News producer who got arrested for having a crew shoot footage of fat cat lobbyists and Senators hobnobbing, right? They called it "trespassing", but the cop also cuffed him and told the producer "You're lucky I didn't knock the f@@k out of you."

  • "The evil in the world is not cause by ignorance but by what folks know that isn't so." Josh Billings.

  • Correction:

"The evil in the world is not caused by ignorance but by what folks know that isn't so."

  • The Veteran who said that the Democrats are also responsible for the War because they were voted in two years ago is forgetting that the Republicans would not let any bill get through that affected funding.

    Great job Marta.

  • I Love it Marta good job :-) Mike

  • Wow, this is some of the best coverage of the convention. What is going on outside has not really been covered. Good Job!!

  • Motivated Devil Dog! Semper Fi! Gung Ho! Gung Ho!

  • Excellent coverage Marta, thank you.

  • Damn Marta!!! Great coverage! You would NEVER see stuff like this on the networks - especially the footage with the Vets. Great work! Shout out to Grandpa and Dolly Parton.

  • This is why democracy doesn't work.

I'm glad that I live in Canada where you must pass a current events test in order to vote...

  • Really?

  • This gnooze made me sad.

  • Wow the green screen is over.

  • Wow, it is difficult to cut the funding knowing that the idiot in charge will continue sending more people, unarmed if necessary, to fight a war for oil (and against Islam)

  • you best video yet marta

    seriously

    really powerful

    awesome footage

  • The soldier at 3:20 finally speaks the truth with heart. Powerful.

  • Thank you Marta. You give me hope for America.

  • Awesome! I want more coverage like this.

  • Wow, this is very hardcore. Great job!

  • Good coverage. Strange how the Dems' anti-war fever dissipated after the last election. As the soldier with the gift for understatement said, "...they neglected to do that." It probably slipped their minds - what with all the fund-raising for the next election coming up and such. Voting no on war funding bills can be very time consuming.

Well at least it's nice to see Americans making full use of their permits to gather and their allotted free speech zones.

    No, I'm not cynical. :-/

  • Thank you for this video. It moved me to tears.

  • Well done, Marta. This is better coverage than some of the majors. Check out our new vid on the main page. Our kids at the DNC via digital magic.

  • G-NARLY :)

  • good job cosbars. thanks for your gift.

  • Wow. Moving footage. Nice job, guys!

  • This was, by far, the BEST coverage of the DNC! The "corporate media" needs to take a lesson from Marta!

  • The female at 3:13 sounds like see is ready for a coolaid party.

  • Great report, Marta! Sitting on the edge of my seat, waiting for more!!

  • Nice work, Marta!

  • Awesome coverage, Marta!! This is the perspective we CAN'T get in any of the tv coverage.

  • I know reporters are supposed to be impartial.. but are you democrat or republican?

Because I find it ironic that on your DNC report, there's a John McCain ad in the corner.

    Planned youtube placement? Hmmmmmmmm....

  • Go Anti-War Veterans! Ron Paul's Rally for the Republic is gonna be so much better than the DNC and the RNC~

  • hope theres is a coup coming.

  • Pretty good coverage, Marta. :o) Can you interview Alex Jones?

  • Awesome!

  • Hello,Marta,

"I'm still here" too bad you were towered over by those hulking ideopaths. Perhaps if you had worn spikey high heels, you could have seen them eye to eye.

Failing that, you could stamp on their feet, and cause them an owie.

  • Great report Marta. Always love the updates. Keep it up.

  • I didn't get much drinking done on this one. You were out of the studio, but that's about it. Ha!

  • Great report Marta. Maybe CNN should start showing both sides like you did.

  • Wow. That was excellent. Very powerful. Thanks.

  • Excellent reporting Marta!

  • whoa that was great coverage!

oh i hope you didn't get spit on your hair!

  • wow that ended powerfully

  • Really great coverage, Marta.

  • I wish I could give you more than 5 stars for this Marta. Excellent reporting. You let the events tell the story. None of the so called unbiased main stream media would cover this event this way.

  • I'm sure the IVAW members appreciated your interest in them, just as much as we appreciate you doing so, and showing us their stories, Marta. The emotions there are palpable, yet such is certain to not be seen on the MSM.

    Gnooze exclusives!

  • Awesome coverage and with your sense of humor still intact! That's a major accomplishment in the midst of all that angst. Thank you.

  • Seriously. I love you.

    I think you kick ass.

Iraq Veterans Against the WAR, YEA!

  • Iraq veterans against the war? That's awesome.

And, seriously, someone actually thinks Fox is balanced? I doubt even the people who work there think that.

  • the lady made me cry :(

  • i miss gus hall.:(

  • Wow, This is great that you took the Gnoozes to the DNC to report on it for us, A REAL news channel I can trust!!

  • Great coverage! Thanks Gnoozies! Some Kookie kooks though. Hope you had your rabies shot!

    Now get Obama on camera!

    G

  • i was a hillary supporter and i know that maybe all the votes weren't counted, etc, however i am *S*I*C*K* of hillary supporters who are still refusing to vote on the dem ticket. a vote for anyone other than obama is a vote for mccain. suck it up bbs. vote obama/biden '08!

  • Obama and Biden are CFR scum, just like McCain. If you're not voting third-party, or independent, or writing in someone who was, on principle, and are voting for the "lesser of two evils", then you are part of the problem, not the solution.

  • a third party vote is a wasted vote, a republican vote is a stupid vote, there is only one choice that makes any sense at all unless you are someone that only reads the occasional headline and has no real idea of what is going on...

  • "a third party vote is a wasted vote,..."

You've swallowed the Democrat/Republican-created meme. They WANT you to think that. That's why the presidential debates are organized by a committee of (D) and (R)!

Did you know that the Republican Party was a "third party" when they got Lincoln elected??

  • I know that a third party candidate will not be elected President in this election. Primaries are a great time to make your protest statements, that time is over, now it is time to be serious. Third party guys generally run about 5%, that means 5% of voters wasted their vote on someone that had no chance of winning. So if you think bush has done a great job, vote for Mc Cain, he voted with bush 90% of the time, if you want to see things change, vote for Obama...

  • "I know that a third party candidate will not be elected President"

Well, they won't be if people swallow the Dem/Repub pills like you have. You are yet to explain away the third-party getting Lincoln elected.

A two-party state where both parties are >90% identical is for all intents and purposes, a one-party state. Are you happy living like that? I refuse to, and I can confidently say our Founding Fathers would not want this to be a two-party state. In fact, the parties came LATER.

  • Bubba186, even if a candidate only gets a single vote, if you truly believe in his ability to lead, that vote was not wasted.

Third party votes send a message to Washington - that a growing number of Americans are tired of their lies, their hypocrisy, and their phony promises of "change" that never comes. It's time for a real change - a change away from 2-party politics. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to take my soapbox back to the laundry room.
