@iluve2run I think this is acceptable for a sprinter, it's very inefficient, so it is bad form for a distance runner, but when you're a sprinter, such a short race, I guess you can provide enough power to make up for it, just me theorizing, could be totally wrong.
@iluve2run No, her technique was near-flawless. The stride is the reason she was able to pull away from VCB. I mean, this is VCB, here...not come little girl in band camp, and we know VCB has tons more power than Felix. Felix ran a brilliant race and that stride is what really moved her to Victory...
@stevie586 Dont be decieved by the light body build of Allyson bcos she tremendously powerful. The only thing that seperates her from other athletes is that Felix has got an endurance and relaxation technigue which the rest do not have, and she runs the final 100 of a 200 better than anyone else in the world.Vcb is the only one who has got an antidote to Felix and that is getting out fast and leading on the curve.that is the only way u can beat felix
@MrFlexybee Oh, I completely agree with you, trust me. In stating her stride is what does this; I was factoring all that goes into the equation. She wouldn't have such a wonderful stride, etc., in such a race if she weren't brilliant technically. Also, you're right, she is so absolutely relaxed, w/great endurance. I think Jeter has more ability to beat Felix in the end, BUT, Jeter does not have Felix's endurance & experience. W/training, Jeter outpowers and could out-stride in the end.
@stevie586 Well Jeter can do better and i noticed in Daegu that Jeter do not have the endurance and experience that is VCB beat to the finish line. What surprises me is that Allyson has got longer legs which can enhance her to out stride or over stride just like Flo Jo did in most of her races. With her long legs n strides if Allyson decides to do a lot of knee lift she might get closer to the record.
@MrFlexybee Agreed! Jeter does not have the skill. She has a higher top speed than VCB and Felix, and she would have caught and passed VCB if she used skill instead of raw power...that's what caused her to run out of fuel. I think the 200 is Jeter's race; she has got the perfect make-up for a start 200 runner, but, she needs to first learn to run the event. Felix does have an amazing stride, and I think if she bulked up w/muscle and lifted more, she'd be unstoppable.
@BryanDiGeneral ,after 2008 final allyson is now stronger cuz VCB can not jump on her in major finals again.it is true VCB has a good start and best curve but you also have to remember that allyson felix is so strong in the final stages of a race with her great relaxation and endurance.and also VCB will have a lot of tough doings with Jeter in the 100m before even coming into the 200m with felix.not forgetting stewart and frser in the 100 as well.

Allyson Felix is awesome. =) Debbie Ferguson-McKenzie, she's a great one too. She's been around for a long time and still get a medal in major championships.
Allyson has grace and poise and runs like a beautiful gazelle. She is fast and still looks feminine without those muscles. I cant get tired of admiring this gracious, sleek, elegant, sexy woman!
@InFaMoUsFiReMaN.............i was not underating VCB,to be honest allyson is younger and has more olympics to see.and was talking abt 200m world champ cuz that is the event she competes with allyson.Vcb cannot break that 3 tyms consecutive win by felix and i think felix also can win one of olympics or even back to back.
The reason why i respect felix is that she is very versatile with the sport.(100m,200m,400m,4*100m and 4*400)and really feels good on the track. She getting an olympic gold medal is very possible but i doubt if VCB would ever be a world champion
@MrFlexybee I honestly respect Allyson to the fullest, quite a talent in the sport. However, when you're trying to demeanor VCB you insult sports intellegence! VCB, at 15, was already an Olympic silver medalist in the womens 4x100m against the lights of Chryste Gaines,Torri Edwards, Nanceen Perry, Passion Richardson, and then drug induced Marion Jones in the pool of athletes! Further more, Veronica has a World title at every level of athletics being it the world youths, world juniors, & worlds!
SORRY SOME ONE SENT THIS TO ME AND IT SCARED ME SO I HAD TO DO IT PLZ FORGIVE ME IM NOT TRYING TO ADVERTISE BUT IM SCARED OF WHAT IT SEES in 1908 a lady named sally rusa was in the woods looking for a dog until a ghost came and killed her so if ur reading this u will find a bloody body in your closet hanging there haunting you and will kill you and ur family and if u want to stop this just sends this to 6 videos in 30 mins or this will happen good luck
allyson felix ran fast and on this criss blue track also debbie ferguson did good again coming in 3rd as always and how come every time its a world championship allyson always beats veronica cambell but at the olympics veronica beats her?
Also, not to add fuel to the fire, but just because a country dominates in two sprinting events does not mean that they dominate track and field as a whole. I give Jamaica ups for the past two years but they are still at an extreme disadvantage because all they have are sprinters and nothing else. That's why the U.S. is dominate, we have the athletes to compete in everything regardless of winning or not. I miss the days when track and field was fun to watch and no hate existed.
The question is, how many times they do it fairly?.lmao.....U.S.A is the drug capital and i bet if Campbell-Brown was 100% fit we wud bein singin a different tune....
Yeah, that was a dumb comment because Allyson is beautiful and a great runner but she is skinnier and more elegant than vcb or jeter or shelley ann. Remember Gail Devers?
Typical comment from you. Why wouldn't she be happy? She's the only track athlete ever, man or woman, American or not to win 3 consecutive world titles at 200meters, maybe she didn't look ''happy'' because she's tired of beating Veronica Campbell and everyone else over and over again. But make no mistake about it, it's almost 2010 and in 2012 she's gonna smoke the whole field in London. MARK MY WORDS.
Kmb9624. I really like all of your points so far very fair and balance.Remeber before the world champs I had already concede the 200m to felix knowing that vcb had injuries. However, Felix is a supeb runner even though I was a little disappointed in the winning time. She is still young and veronica is young also . Just look at the two Bahamian Veterans. Time is on their side with good health and remain injury free. What do you think of kerron or shelleyann taking the 200m seriously?
Felix is a wonderful role model on AND off the track. She decided not to pursue a college track career in order to go pro. Still, while traveling the globe, competing and practicing at the world class level, she pursued her college education and attained her degree in education.
ON the VCb Issue I agree with nitroudaking and KMB. Yes, VCB wanted to make a statement that she was medal contender and not just a "former " champ.Plus even though she had injury coming into the champs she was not gonna give up her wild card pass.VCB was trying to prove a point . Remember she had beaten jeter before coming in the world champ. But after watching the heats I know it was a loosing battle. The relay issue for vcb came out of her bitter dispppointment in the 100m.
The jamican influence was all over the championship in berlin.Sanay richards (USA), Debbie dunn(USA) Jessica Ennis(GB) hepathalon gold medalist father is jamaican and alfonso edwards of panama (2nd 200m) mother is jamaican.Another caribbean athlete who competes for the USA is kerron clement-a trinidardian by birth.I have always said jamaica's greatest eport is its people. A lot of countries have benefit immensley from our people notwithstanding the shame that a have few brought .
Felix is all american, not a hint of jamaican, so what makes her so good? you guys kill me with that!! lol I'm all african american and I don't feel like you need to be Jamaican to be fast!!
With distance running we might as well leave that alone to the East africans.Even our best road runners couldnot compete with the B grade east afrrican athletes. Our niche and specialised area is sprinting.(100m-400m) What is lacking in depth in the semi-sprinting race is the male quarter-miler event.Historically this is where the male athletes in jamaica have earned the most medals but since the past 6 years the talent at the elite level is lacking unlike the USA.
KMb9624.I concur with you also about field events. I donot see the reason why we unable to enter athletes for jumping and throwing events. Events like discus, high jump and long jump are well contested at champs. I know events like javlin , hammer throw and the pole vault are almost non-existent in the schools system but I know we have the talent to compete if it is nurture. I think jamaica needs to a athletic exchange program with euroupe to develop field events in jamaica .
Am I the only one who feels VC should have just focused on the 200 instead of doing the double. Lets face it Kerron and shelly are miles ahead of her in the 100m and I don't see the gap closing. Remember at beijing when she only ran 200m she was beasting and setting a new PB that was the VC I was expecting at Berlin but i think she was really fatigued after the 100m. I'm not saying she would have beat Felix but the race would definitely be much closer than what we saw in this video.
Felix the Cat can be the greatest 200m runner ever. Just like SAF can be the best 100m runner ever. They are both young and have the times and golds so far. Only thing Felix doesn't have are the Olympic golds, but that will come.
VCB has two Olympic golds, but beyond that she has been thoroughly dominated by Felix..
On a per capita level Jamaica came out the winner.(2.8 mil vs 300mil) that is one medla per 200000 people vs one medal per 13million people. And if you go further and apply the GDP metrics its even more crazier(13 trillion vs 15 billion).I think jamaica has definately earn this bragging rights irrespective of how you slice it and dice it.Remeber the statician and econometricians are always comparing perfomance on an population basis and on a GDP basis also and not on a overall result.
you really cannot say 300 million. first and foremost you have to remove most of the white folks from the equation of sprints and just include the people of African descent.
Veronica is a better 100/200m runnner than felix while felix is a better 200/400m runner right now.Right now no one as a monopoly on the 200/400m double.Saya runs a good 200m but she is no competition for allyson. The result of the 400m races was expected nothwithstanding the 400m hurdle upset. The USA had a lot of depth in this area and also a lot of history.Ironically this was a dominant event for jamaican athletes in the past but for the past 6 years their performance is sub-par.
Kmb9624.even though allson felix is the best allround (100m,200m and 400m) right now I dont see her doing a 10.8 in the 100m.She has more potential as a 200/400 double(briscoe-hooks-perec type).I think that if allyson take up the 400m seriously she can give sanya some serious competition because right now sanya has no serious competition. As a for the the doping records of the east germans that is politics at best because the same could be said of flo-jo.Kotch didnot confess. What about perec?
THe result of this race was not surprising. Veronica got injuries coming into the championship and her curve running this time was sub-optimal.She was not going to beat allyson coming off the curve like that.I thnik if shelly ann or kerrron takes the 200m seriously they can be a real threat to allyson but for now she is the best in this event just like sanya is the best in her event.
The Better runner wins that race on that day when it counted and it wasnt VCB and we will never know if at 100% if VCB would have won based on the fact she ran 21.74 a year ago just means she ran faster that race allysion is more consitant and has ran VCB down more in the 200 over the span of there careers bottom line respect here she has earned it
When Jamican athlete perform well then the comment is they are better veronica cambell is an awsome athlete and granted i would say she was not at 100% but allyison has wiped the floor with VCB several times over during here carrer with the exception being the olympics, both are great athletes but an olympic title doesnt nesscicarly mean your better VCB just performed better on those days but over Allysion felix consistantly has beaten VCB if VCb was at 100% she should not have lined up period
The commentators are basically kissing Felix's ass. Idiots.
Doesn't matter, 2 Olympic Golds are worth more than Allyson's 3 World championship goals. As Allyson pointed out after this race, she would gladly trade all of her gold medals for one of Campbell's Olympic golds. Poor thing.
Allyson was 18 during the first Olympics so it doesn't count. When it's all said and done and the history books are written Campbell will be in the Shadow of Allyson Felix who is 23 and still has room to improve. She is a rare talent.
Age doesn't matter. Campbell massacred Felix in both Olympics. When history is written, Campbell will be one of only two females to ever win two successive Olympic Gold medals in 200ms, and was also the World 100m champion at the same time. She scored the 7th fastest time in history over 200m. She missed 6 weeks of training due to injuries, and that's the only reason Felix won. Also, Felix came out fresh, as this is her first event. Campbell has been running heats and finals for 100 AND 200m.
Also, if you notice, Felix doesn't even seem that happy when she won...'cuz she knows that the Olympics are far more important. This championship simply warms them up the year before and after the Olympics. At next Olympics, if not Campbell, then another Jamaican will emerge. And y'all better pray that Shelly Ann Fraser doesn't start doing 200m. She's already the fastest woman in history over 100m (not counting Marion Jones and Flo Jo, cuz they used drugs).
omg i'm jamaican and believe me i am SO proud of ALL our athletes!
they've ALL done very good and it jus goes to say " Wi likkle but wi tallawah" meaning we're a small conutry but we're still full of great things, great people, and alot of potential!
Veronica doesn't do 400m, nor does she try to do it. So that comment is moot. The fact is that Veronica Campbell is a 2x Olympic Champion, and Felix is not. Even if she wins next Olympics (which I HIGHLY doubt she will), there is no way she is going to win the next Olympics after that. In the end, she won't be an Olympic champion two times over like VCB.
Marion Jones had already clocked 10.6's before the steroids. Jones used steroids for a summer for the 2000 Sydney oylmpics. I think it is unfortunate that she cheated but she already was miles ahead of the competition since high school. I think Jones was trying to break the world record. Now about Fraser running the 200m, she can;t keep her speed that is why she almost got caught in the 100m Fraser is not like Bolt. Stewart is a much better 200m runner then Fraser. Fraser has one race
You don't know what Fraser is capable of. Whether she slowed down or not, her overall performance was good enough to clock 10.73-- the fastest of any "clean" athlete. All she would have to do is work on her endurance a little bit, and she may be even greater than Stewart-- and Felix.
The 200m is so much different then what you are trying to say. Fraser's fastest time is only .02 faster then Stewart. Stewart is the stronger runner of the two and Campbell is better then them both at the 200m. 200m requires speed endurance and Fraser is always getting caught twoards the end just like Gale Devers used to get ran down by Ottey. Felix is still young and will improve that 21.8. Fraser needs to break 22 first before she can be considered a serious competitor for Felix.
It doesn't matter if you get caught towards the end or where ever. Some people are strong finishers, some are strong starters. Fraser is a strong starter, and her starts enable her to win all of her races. If anything, Stewart is lacking, because she has poor start. Her slow starts has cost her the World title and the Olympic title.
How do you know that Felix will improve. How certain are you? How certain are you that Fraser won't develop strength in 200m.
How do you know that Allyson won't improve? With the way Shelly-Ann AND Kerron keep getting beat by Carmelita Jeter, neither should be thinking about the 200m. Carmelita is world leading now! USA TO DI WORLD!!!
USA to the world, my ass. Jamaica still leads track and field. Drugged up Jeter can run 5.67 for all we care. She still doesn't have either the World title or the Olympic title, and that's worth more than anything. Look at Asafa: he kept breaking world records, but he's never been champion. And his times seem like nothing. Times come and go, records are broken. But the Jamaican will always be the 2008 Olympic champion over 100m, and the World Champion over 100.
Oh don't get so angry. You already know the U.S dominataes Track & FIELD. Now you're accusing Carmelita of drug use, just because someone has finally broken the 10.7 barrier? I bet if it was one of the Jamaicans who broke the barrier you'd be going on about it. Carmelita was owning Shelly-Ann and Krron in plenty of meets before worlds anyways, don't get mad because she's completely killing them now.
Lol, you're funny becuz ur dumb. If I was near you, I'd pat you on the head playfully and sympathetically. Lets see, who won 100m men AND women, 200m men, 100m hurdles, 4X100 men AND women & 400m hurdles at the Worlds? Who won the same titles at last Olympics? Who draws the biggest crowd? Bolt, who is from Jamaica. It's cute how you think US dominate track, when they can't even successfully complete a 4X1 relay ;) And Carmelita may be owning them now, but where was her speed when it mattered?
How many times has Jamaica won the 4x100m in history? How many times have they won the 100m? How many times have they won the 100mh? the 400mh? Allyson>>VCB
Dawn Harper>Lolo Jones>>Brigitte Foster
Lashinda Demus>Melaine Walker
Sanya>>Shericka Williams
Who won long jump? High jump? Decathalon? 200m? both 4x400? both 400m? USA TO DI WORLD!!!!
It doesn't matter how many times Jamaica won the 4X1 in history. I said that Jamaica is the nation that is CURRENTLY dominating Track. Yes, USA won the events no one cared about, cuz they entered every category. But for the more popular ones, and the ones that test the best at sprinting, Jamaica wins. Felix even said that she would give up her World medals for even one of Veronica's golds.
And it's Melaine Walker>>>Lashinda. Melaine has the 2nd fastest time in history, and both titles.
We won events no one cared about? Which you mean longer distances, right? But didn't you just brag about Melaine Walker's 400mH? No one must've cared about that then. How can Jamaica dominate track if they aren't consistent on anything else past the 100 and 4x100 on the men's side? And since you like to bring steroids into things, I know Bolt is juiced. We dominate track because we win the 200 and everything up, as well as field events not Jamaica.
@wexlerchick u fukin biter stop using our shit "jamaica to di world" lol..plus fuk the past most usa sprinters were cheaters..cheaters..cheaters..cheaters!!!!!!!!!!!!
I definitely feel as though Allyson is a great 3-sprint talent. But I don't think we're gonna see 100 or 400 times from her like we saw in Koch. Koch was a horse. She was also on drugs. It will be a long while before a woman goes under 48. And though Felix is fast, I don't think she'll be able to develop the strength and short sprint explosiveness to do what the east german did in the 400 and 100 respectively.
I don't know, Kmb9624, I know Bobby kersee is the man. I mean look what he did for Gail, Flojo, JJk and the whole UCLA women's team in the 80's. I'm sure Felix's lack of explosiveness isn't because she hasn't been trained properly. She's a taller, lankier athlete. It's gonna be harder for someone with that body type to be able to maneuver that initial first curve like VCB or Jeter does. But you're right about Marita's and Jarmila's records needing to be stricken from the books.
I could see Felix maybe bringing her 100 time down to maybe a high 10.8. And in the 200, maybe a 21.6. She's still young and like Ottey, Torrence and even Flojo proved, it's that the late 20's and early 30's seem to be when peak condition is reached.
I think I share the same high expectations as you. I miss the days when Americans were competing hard for the top spots. From Evelyn, to flojo, to gwen and gail to Marion. Allyson could dominate in the same way that they all did. I just think with time it'll come. I know she can go low 49's - this year! As far as Sanya, she can go low 48. But she just needs to get that aggressiveness back. She's a bit timid now during the first 200 because of losses at the Games. She just relies on her finish.
Yep I agree it is sad that she took those steroids and ruined her career. Marion Jones was the second greatest sprinter to ever live behind Flo Jo and Jones could even long jump but that one summer of bad judgement tarnishes her whole career.
you are forgetting christne arron of france also shares that time of 10.73 for the 100 so she shares the 3rd fastest time just to let you know if you didnt
They like Felix. How could anyone not. But don't be salty because no one is lauding Campbell. I mean she lost. What were they gonna say about her? As great as the Olympics are (and they are) this was the world championships. Everyone who lined up, wanted to win. Past achievements ceased to matter.
yes she is so smooth. No matter what she says she is not 100%. She still has a slight limp from last year in which what caused her the gold. That limp bugs me LOL! Non the last she super smooth and enjoy watching her run. One of my all time faves.
Allysin doesn't anchor the 4X1, she runs the 4X4. And for the 4X1, Jamaica has Fraser and Stewart, the two fastest women in the world, and Campbell-Brown and Aleen Bailey. All four women reached the finals of the women's 100m, meaning they are the best 4X1 team out right now. The only thing they have to work on is passing the baton and the rest is history.
Sorry to disappoint, but Allyson is on the 4X1 team and it would only make sense to have her on the second or anchor legs. You may THINK that Jamaica has the best 4X1 team but, its going to come down to the handoffs. If the two teams are even coming into the final leg and, Felix is on the anchor for the US, you can bet that no one will beat her in that last 100 meters. With that running start, she will crush anyone she faces on that leg. Bank on it.
Well, the US just DNF'd in the semifinals (again). So, it looks like we won't get the matchup between the two teams..................................for the second straight time.

The reason why i respect felix is that she is very versatile with the sport.(100m,200m,400m,4*100m and 4*400)and really feels good on the track. She getting an olympic gold medal is very possible but i doubt if VCB would ever be a world champion
MrFlexybee 1 year ago
@MrFlexybee I honestly respect Allyson to the fullest, quite a talent in the sport. However, when you're trying to demeanor VCB you insult sports intellegence! VCB, at 15, was already an Olympic silver medalist in the womens 4x100m against the lights of Chryste Gaines,Torri Edwards, Nanceen Perry, Passion Richardson, and then drug induced Marion Jones in the pool of athletes! Further more, Veronica has a World title at every level of athletics being it the world youths, world juniors, & worlds!

RelicHunter321 2 years ago 20

Still, while traveling the globe, competing and practicing at the world class level, she pursued her college education and attained her degree in education.
ranhill 2 years ago

With distance running we might as well leave that alone to the East africans.Even our best road runners couldnot compete with the B grade east afrrican athletes. Our niche and specialised area is sprinting.(100m-400m) What is lacking in depth in the semi-sprinting race is the male quarter-miler event.Historically this is where the male athletes in jamaica have earned the most medals but since the past 6 years the talent at the elite level is lacking unlike the USA.
ziontrain1971 2 years ago

And if you go further and apply the GDP metrics its even more crazier(13 trillion vs 15 billion).I think jamaica has definately earn this bragging rights irrespective of how you slice it and dice it.Remeber the statician and econometricians are always comparing perfomance on an population basis and on a GDP basis also and not on a overall result.
ziontrain1971 2 years ago

Veronica is a better 100/200m runnner than felix while felix is a better 200/400m runner right now.Right now no one as a monopoly on the 200/400m double.Saya runs a good 200m but she is no competition for allyson. The result of the 400m races was expected nothwithstanding the 400m hurdle upset. The USA had a lot of depth in this area and also a lot of history.Ironically this was a dominant event for jamaican athletes in the past but for the past 6 years their performance is sub-par.
ziontrain1971 2 years ago
Kmb9624.even though allson felix is the best allround (100m,200m and 400m) right now I dont see her doing a 10.8 in the 100m.She has more potential as a 200/400 double(briscoe-hooks-perec type).I think that if allyson take up the 400m seriously she can give sanya some serious competition because right now sanya has no serious competition. As a for the the doping records of the east germans that is politics at best because the same could be said of flo-jo.Kotch didnot confess. What about perec?

The Better runner wins that race on that day when it counted and it wasnt VCB and we will never know if at 100% if VCB would have won based on the fact she ran 21.74 a year ago just means she ran faster that race allysion is more consitant and has ran VCB down more in the 200 over the span of there careers bottom line respect here she has earned it

Poor thing.
RelicHunter321 2 years ago
Allyson was 18 during the first Olympics so it doesn't count. When it's all said and done and the history books are written Campbell will be in the Shadow of Allyson Felix who is 23 and still has room to improve. She is a rare talent.
ledia84k 2 years ago
Age doesn't matter. Campbell massacred Felix in both Olympics. When history is written, Campbell will be one of only two females to ever win two successive Olympic Gold medals in 200ms, and was also the World 100m champion at the same time. She scored the 7th fastest time in history over 200m. She missed 6 weeks of training due to injuries, and that's the only reason Felix won. Also, Felix came out fresh, as this is her first event. Campbell has been running heats and finals for 100 AND 200m.
RelicHunter321 2 years ago
Also, if you notice, Felix doesn't even seem that happy when she won...'cuz she knows that the Olympics are far more important. This championship simply warms them up the year before and after the Olympics. At next Olympics, if not Campbell, then another Jamaican will emerge. And y'all better pray that Shelly Ann Fraser doesn't start doing 200m. She's already the fastest woman in history over 100m (not counting Marion Jones and Flo Jo, cuz they used drugs).

Paco801 2 years ago
You don't know what Fraser is capable of. Whether she slowed down or not, her overall performance was good enough to clock 10.73-- the fastest of any "clean" athlete. All she would have to do is work on her endurance a little bit, and she may be even greater than Stewart-- and Felix.
RelicHunter321 2 years ago
The 200m is so much different then what you are trying to say. Fraser's fastest time is only .02 faster then Stewart. Stewart is the stronger runner of the two and Campbell is better then them both at the 200m. 200m requires speed endurance and Fraser is always getting caught twoards the end just like Gale Devers used to get ran down by Ottey. Felix is still young and will improve that 21.8. Fraser needs to break 22 first before she can be considered a serious competitor for Felix.
Paco801 2 years ago
It doesn't matter if you get caught towards the end or where ever. Some people are strong finishers, some are strong starters. Fraser is a strong starter, and her starts enable her to win all of her races. If anything, Stewart is lacking, because she has poor start. Her slow starts has cost her the World title and the Olympic title.
How do you know that Felix will improve. How certain are you? How certain are you that Fraser won't develop strength in 200m.
RelicHunter321 2 years ago
How do you know that Allyson won't improve? With the way Shelly-Ann AND Kerron keep getting beat by Carmelita Jeter, neither should be thinking about the 200m. Carmelita is world leading now! USA TO DI WORLD!!!
wexlerchick 2 years ago
USA to the world, my ass. Jamaica still leads track and field. Drugged up Jeter can run 5.67 for all we care. She still doesn't have either the World title or the Olympic title, and that's worth more than anything. Look at Asafa: he kept breaking world records, but he's never been champion. And his times seem like nothing. Times come and go, records are broken. But the Jamaican will always be the 2008 Olympic champion over 100m, and the World Champion over 100.
Shake your ass to that.
RelicHunter321 2 years ago
Oh don't get so angry. You already know the U.S dominataes Track & FIELD. Now you're accusing Carmelita of drug use, just because someone has finally broken the 10.7 barrier? I bet if it was one of the Jamaicans who broke the barrier you'd be going on about it. Carmelita was owning Shelly-Ann and Krron in plenty of meets before worlds anyways, don't get mad because she's completely killing them now.
wexlerchick 2 years ago 5
Lol, you're funny becuz ur dumb. If I was near you, I'd pat you on the head playfully and sympathetically. Lets see, who won 100m men AND women, 200m men, 100m hurdles, 4X100 men AND women & 400m hurdles at the Worlds? Who won the same titles at last Olympics? Who draws the biggest crowd? Bolt, who is from Jamaica. It's cute how you think US dominate track, when they can't even successfully complete a 4X1 relay ;) And Carmelita may be owning them now, but where was her speed when it mattered?
RelicHunter321 2 years ago
How many times has Jamaica won the 4x100m in history? How many times have they won the 100m? How many times have they won the 100mh? the 400mh? Allyson>>VCB
Dawn Harper>Lolo Jones>>Brigitte Foster
Lashinda Demus>Melaine Walker
Sanya>>Shericka Williams
Who won long jump? High jump? Decathalon? 200m? both 4x400? both 400m? USA TO DI WORLD!!!!
wexlerchick 2 years ago 2
It doesn't matter how many times Jamaica won the 4X1 in history. I said that Jamaica is the nation that is CURRENTLY dominating Track. Yes, USA won the events no one cared about, cuz they entered every category. But for the more popular ones, and the ones that test the best at sprinting, Jamaica wins. Felix even said that she would give up her World medals for even one of Veronica's golds.
And it's Melaine Walker>>>Lashinda. Melaine has the 2nd fastest time in history, and both titles.
Fool.
RelicHunter321 2 years ago
We won events no one cared about? Which you mean longer distances, right? But didn't you just brag about Melaine Walker's 400mH? No one must've cared about that then. How can Jamaica dominate track if they aren't consistent on anything else past the 100 and 4x100 on the men's side? And since you like to bring steroids into things, I know Bolt is juiced. We dominate track because we win the 200 and everything up, as well as field events not Jamaica.

Allyson could dominate in the same way that they all did. I just think with time it'll come. I know she can go low 49's - this year! As far as Sanya, she can go low 48. But she just needs to get that aggressiveness back. She's a bit timid now during the first 200 because of losses at the Games. She just relies on her finish.

iguillo 2 years ago
Allysin doesn't anchor the 4X1, she runs the 4X4. And for the 4X1, Jamaica has Fraser and Stewart, the two fastest women in the world, and Campbell-Brown and Aleen Bailey. All four women reached the finals of the women's 100m, meaning they are the best 4X1 team out right now. The only thing they have to work on is passing the baton and the rest is history.
RelicHunter321 2 years ago
Sorry to disappoint, but Allyson is on the 4X1 team and it would only make sense to have her on the second or anchor legs. You may THINK that Jamaica has the best 4X1 team but, its going to come down to the handoffs. If the two teams are even coming into the final leg and, Felix is on the anchor for the US, you can bet that no one will beat her in that last 100 meters. With that running start, she will crush anyone she faces on that leg. Bank on it.
