  • That standing ovation was excellent. I cannot imagine myself being in the military, but I have nothing but complete respect for those that put their lives on the line so that I may live a happy care free life.

Thank you so very much for all that you do for me!

  • I don't that Lt. was expecting that applause he received at beginning of Trace Adkins, and what an outstanding performance by Trace Adkins, this performance and Carrie's performace where the best of ACM awards this year, besides Carrie winning her two awards.

  • your making your country proud man

  • My son-in-law recently returned from his second tour. One of my nephews currently serves in Afganistan on his third trip. Our men and women give and give, and on thier bravery we stand free. God Bless to all our military...past, present, and future.

  • As the son of a career soldier, a Desert storm vet ,and the father of a deployed solider i was brought to tears by this performance. For those of you who wish to laugh or thumb your nose, well thank a vet because if it were not for them you would not have the right to do so.

  • He's sitting down so the rest of us can stand up.Don't forget where you live, people...and the ones who made it possible.GOD bless the USA.

  • i worked with a woman named julie dibble whose son is graduating from west pint military academy in june 10th in his class of 1000............ i met him at work the other day. what an honor.

  • Thank you very much from Germany....

I love and support the USA and the NATO-Troops

  • As a current West Point Cadet I appreciate all of your comments. Thank you.

  • This is a wonderful song and a heart-wrenching video. I cried the first time I saw it during the award show. Great performance by both Trace Adkins and the West Point Glee Club.

I am the daughter of a career army man, the granddaughter and great-granddaughter of two more. I am very thankful to see people appreciate the sacrifices made by the men and women who serve in uniform. Even if you do not approve of the war, please support the soldiers anyway.

  • i cry each time i hear this

    THANK YOU

  • You don't have to support the wars, but you need to support the men and women who serve in our Armed Forces. No matter why or where they are called to, they serve without question, with their talents and their lives. From the cooks to the Seals, each of these soldiers are out there for every one of us. Pray for them, support the groups that support them and shake their hands when you see them. They are our warriors and our heroes.

  • Incredible song and organization! At Overton Hill, The Army of Tennessee was broken by the Army of the Cumberland defending Nashville. The warriors of Tennessee had fought the battle of Atlanta against Sherman only a few weeks before, and marched north into the cold to fight again. Many died near their homes, but they were not broken. This song brings it all home. From then until now where our warriors had fought. The West Point Glee Club is spectacular. Thank You to all our warriors!

  • There are only two people willing to die for you-the first was Jesus Christ and the second is a Soldier! Trace Adkins has my admiration because he routinely goes to the Middle East to see the soldiers and that means a lot to them! He always seems to sing a song to remind us about the soldier's and their ultimate sacrifice! Pray for the Troops and their families-They need all the prayers we can send up for them! May God keep them safe and give them peace I ask in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen!

  • My most humble gratitude goes out to all the soldiers and their families. I am from an Army family and proud of it! To those who wish to disrespect our Military-my thoughts: you are free because of these soldiers! Think how the family feels when you call their loved ones names and we have not heard from them and have been waiting on a call, praying that they are not lying in their own blood dying! You see you are free to espouse your liberal biased crap while my brother is harms way to keep it!

  • Young men and women give more than we can imagine.

Thank you, thank you, thank you from an Okie gal!! God bless.

  • I'm an Okie gal myself stationed at Fort Drum NY with my husband. Trace Adkins performance had me in tears as I sat on my couch watching it with my soldier. The recognition given to all our soldiers is very much appreciated by those of us who send our husbands, wives, brothers, sisters, sons, daughters, moms and dads off to war. Thank YOU>.
