His technique isn't good its far beyond that. Technique enables your potential of expression. Music is a language and the guitar is the voice. Monster maybe the wrong word though :)
you're right when you say that technique enables musical expression, but we're talking about Joscho here. We're not generally speaking, we're speaking about his playing and in particular melodic improv against displaying tricks. My opinion is that his playing is too full of tricks with little melodic depth. Maybe I'm just not feeling his 'folky touch' anyways, matter of opinion.
just go to a concert and let your mind blow away from the mixture of feeling and skill. its beautifull and i dont accept any discussion
