Hey, Nick. Jon from the neo forums. Didn't you beat your 1 million point score while you were there? I seem to remember a crazy pic you showed me with a score of like 1.5 million or something.
Also, sorry the Starfox Weekend cart didn't work out too well at my booth.
Check at the 9:55 mark, we got a shot of the final score roster for that day. Both of us couldn't do better then what we did. My top was 1,005,000 but at the real NWC Thor Akerlund got over 4-5 million.
Now Triforce says he found a glitch in the cart and depending on the score you get in Mario you'll get a pattern of the same bricks in Tetris.
Kinda breaks the game if you know that, but then again they made it to be played for one tournament and not to be dived into and played over and over.
I'm pretty sure it's a Generation NEX, or Gen NEX. It's a really good NES Clone. Not only does it have stereo output, but it uses real NES controllers and can also play Japanese Famicom games.
I've never heard of anybody owning that cart That's gotta go for some major bucks on eBay. I've never heard of anybody owning one.
I remember playing the SNES one at my local Blockbuster. I ended up getting first place...which was really second place because there was a "Store Champion". So all I got was the lame pack of cards they gave away as freebies.
I only know of the cart as i've somehow got the ROM of it for some reason.
We just had Donkey Kong on its own for the UK leg, and was number one at two stores, but they illegally changed the rules half way through as their staff were too inept at spotting cheaters and thus allowed cheating. So I lost out because of that.
Still I got my own back, threatened to take them to court and got a shit load of free rentals out of it.

Even though this game is almost 20 years old, it's still fun as hell to play it against people.
