I'm a cop who worked that night of the snowstorm in Quebec city. Basically, what happened was that the cops were protecting cars that were stuck in front of them and were waiting for the towing; that never came! So they got eventually stuck aswell! Cool video.

Débile les bordées de neige qu'on a eu cette année... J'ai vécu à Québec de 2002 à 2006 et je suis à Sherbrooke depuis peu. Il y a une énorme différence sur les quantités de neige qui ont été reçues d'une région à l'autre. Québec y a goûté.

Je pense que tu ne lis pas les réponses. maker44 a écris l'histoire plus bas... Avec une tempête de cette ampleur, il n'y a pas de temps pour faire du radar. De toute façon, les radars ne fonctionnent pas lors de bordées de neige ou sous une bonne pluie. Les précipitations créent un écran qui empêche les ondes doppler ou le laser de revenir suffisamment à l'antenne radar et de donner une bonne lecture.

They were not driving too fast. They just stopped to help someone. The snowstorm was strong. Too much snow and wind in a short time period. Their cars were caught under the snow. In my other video, you see city busses caught in the snow.
