Oh, man, I just turn on your music, kick back, close my eyes, and the last fifty years just melts away. What a great break from all the modern hub-bub you are! Thanks a million.
Actually, I think I'm starting to get this, just watching and listening. Great, nuanced playing, everytime I watch it I hear something else. Thanks for posting.
@cwsgershwin Great! Like anything else, the more you do it, the easier it becomes and you get more relaxed and tune takes on a life of it's own. You're doing fine, Just hang in there; it will come together for you.
Great playing and tone Bill, you made me start working on this and drop everything else immediately. My ear being nowhere near as good as yours I'm trying to use the Jack Baker tab but that was from Chester and Lester- great tabs, but I sense you version might be more designed for solo guitar...I know you picked it up by ear but any ideas for tabs for a tin ear like me? Thanks again, really enjoyed very much, smooth, swinging, pure.
This is so smooth and swingy. Your picking is wonderful to listen to, and the tone of that guitar is out of this world. Another excellent post, Billly. Keep on picking.
I remember your grandson playing at the Chattanooga get together many years ago seems like he was playing a bright blue Fender. Billy your playing is superb on "Deed I Do" with a nice swing to it and the tone of the Heartland guitar is also very pleasing to the ear. Thanks - Ronnie Evans
@evron68 Hi Ronnie, It's so nice of you to remember my grandson Billy. It was indeed a bright blue Fender Strat. He lost that guitar when his home was broke into when he was in college. The next year I bought him a Taylor 314 CE and that's the guitar that he now plays. He is now 25 and married and plays really well. He has some vids on the tube, check him out sometime. Leave him a note saying you remember him; it will really thrill him. Thanks and good to hear from you.
@GretschTelecaster This is not my Yamaha. This is a Heartland guitar, one of two that I won as Grand Champion at the International Thumbpicking Contest held annually in Muhlenburg County, KY. I case you are interested, I sold the other guitar I won. I still have my Yamaha that I have done so much recording with. I promised it to my grandson Billy, who is a supurb guitarists.
My brain knows these notes are there on the guitar ... but my skill wont let me find them .... well done sir !!!!!

Thanks for the offer but since I already have a Yamaha AES1500B and more recently Gretsch G5120 so I'm not interested in buying.
This new guitar on the recording me looks like a revised Yamaha, so I sent a question for you that I got the answer to which is another way to thank.

@GretschTelecaster I guess I posted in an ambiguous way. I'm not interested in selling either. Thanks for your kind comments.

What happened to the neck of the guitar, how I remember you had a Yamaha AES1500B guitar on it and now have another new pickups and neck.
I do not need to laud your playing a good standard and as always superb.
