What if I NEED a vase for .25 to hold my flowers ?, Wouldn't it then, be a good deal ? Not everyone goes to Garage Sales with the intention of buying something to sell again . People like that take the fun out of Garage Sales . Then you want to put a .25 vase in your shop for $30.00 . ! You people are DOGS !
The general rule for collecting ANY valuable collectible is that there should be more than just a simple sticker identifying it. Either a depressed mark or permanent stamp somewhere on the piece. Some of the most valuable items are unmarked though, so it's also important to learn period construction techniques and style periods to look for consistency.
She has no clue WHAT TO look for. As an antique dealer I'm embarrassed that she's representing professionals in the business.
She only points out the obvious. There is a formula for collecting antique and vintage perfume bottles. My guess is that some day after so many people discard those Avon bottles they will have some value. But as of now the highly sought after pieces are in sterling silver, dangle on chatelaines, or are especially in crystal. What do look for are Lalique, Baccarat, ect.
Lady, you are so wrong! I bought a "vase" like the one you had shown...except...it was leaded zipper glass. I bought it for 50¢, and sold it for $85. You should probably show what the difference is between like items, rather than just whine and "complain" about things...you are a disgrace to collectors everywhere!
Hey RAY, shut =up, you are making yourself look like a complete Misogynistic tosser. She has a degree and is a professional appraiser, what do you have, except for picking on women?. No much, buy the looks. This is a crash course for beginners, any idiot could see that. So go back into your Dinosaur cave before someone breaks your stupid Vase.

Wow, your here again!. You have issues dude. You make disgusting comments and then threaten users who stand up for this person. You have no substance. You are not even a member of the human species. I pity the WOMAN, who gave birth to you.

You remind me of a guy, who is over weight, couldn't obtain sex, unless he paid for it and hold Women responsible for all YOUR failures in life. Well, take stock of your situation, grow some balls and make the changes that will fix your situation. Own your own life and Stop behaving like a "dummy Spitter". I hope you are not as pathetic in real life, as you "sound" on the internet.
I agree. There are EAPG items that are quite valuable. You can't just say "see this vase, don't buy it," without identifying WHAT the red flags are in a modern repro. It's important to know period patterns like button daisy pattern, ect. Also to know the difference between ABP cut glass and that of modern european mass produced pieces.
