  • how long did u have him for cos i got one today on street and was limping but he is already following me and wallking very fast but he can not fly so how long do u think he will last

  • See! I told you Boomer would be fine as long as you were taking care of him. He is now happy and free to fly with his mate. Instinct is more powerful than we think. God bless all your efforts. You are a special one! Thank you...

  • Thanks for the nice comment. He had a buddy that came to visit with him daily, and when the time came and I opened all the cage doors, he didn't fly out right away, I watched and waited and his buddy came back and explored the opening, but Boomer stayed inside. that was the first day, ,,,,

  • and the next day, the same thing, His buddy came and explored the opening again, I went away just for a minute and when I came back and peeked out the window, the two of them were gone! Praise the Lord.! I kept water and food out for them to eat for a couple of weeks, just in case. God Bless Boomer and his buddy.

  • help!!! we have a baby sparrow and have no clue what we are doing!!! did yours live? how did you do it? get back to us. thank you...

  • I am going to have to reflect what Melody says here:

You are such a sweet person, don't ever change! The bird will be fine in your hands. God bless. :))

  • Ahhhhhhhh ........

  • hes gonna fly away with his buddies! cute!

  • You are such a sweet person!

  • What ever happened? My how time flies... I can't believe this was this long ago since I saw this. Anyways, hi! and I'm curious... lol

  • Thank you for your kindness to this world!

  • I am glad you'd dropped by! Thank you for your support!!

  • Thanks for helping the birds! Excellent,

    janok

  • Thanks for stopping by and your support!!

  • What a caring person you are! I don't have any pets myself, but I believe in helping animals whenever possible, and I admire anyone who does! Some birds built a nest right above my front door.. which is noisy, and makes a terrible mess underneath.. LoL! But I don't have the heart to take it down! Hmm.. I guess I do have pets.. not on purpose! LoL!

    ♫ ToM! ♫

  • Hey ToM.. thanks for stopping by!! Yay... You are a caring person, too. Because you left the nest alone.. If you don't want the mess anymore.. after they all leave the nest,.... you can remove the nest. This will keep them from raising a family there again.. They will probably choose another site knowing that their nest is gone. No worries, though, they don't mind...xoxo

  • Take care of the bird. Do a whale next, eh? Or a unicorn.

  • Can't wait till all his tail feathers grow out. They are almost there, though. Soon I will be able to let him go, and join his other bird friends that come to eat the seed I have out for them. And funny you should mention a whale and the unicorn..hehhee. If I could, I would help them, too.. xoxo

  • HI BOOMER

  • thanks for dropping by, and your support!

  • It must be true love...you let him go and he came back to open arms. Sweet story.

  • thank you for watching and thank you for your nice comment..xoxo

  • aww he came back. You are his mommy...hehe

  • It was heart breaking the day he came back. It was late at night, and he looked scared, confused and hungry. He was all tattered looking, too. But now he is doing better, and his tail feathers are coming in nicely.. thanks for dropping by.

  • Well you may have a friend for life~

  • good work on the sparrow :)

  • Thanks for stopping by and for the support.!

  • Oh this is a lovely story! You Lovely bird lady you! xxx hugs xxx

  • TWISH!! thanks for dropping by!! Thanks for your support. xoxo

  • What a great job you are doing with the little one, Mari! And Casey is keeping an eye on his little friend!

  • It is good to see you here! Yes, Boomer is Casey's little friend.

  • Nice work!

  • Thanks for stopping by!!

  • Can't blame Boomer for coming back to paradise! I love Casey too. You can tell he's a terrific dog! Keep up the great work you're doing there, Mari!! :)

  • God bless you, Tom!!

  • That was pretty neat that he came back knowing he was in trouble. I wonder if he'll visit when is finally on his own.

  • HI WILLIAM!! thank you for dropping by!! I hope that he/she lives in the neighborhood, so I can see Boomer all the time. But I am looking forward to giving Boomer his/her freedom... He loves it when the other birds come to the tray to feed, and I long to let him join them when his feathers grow back.

  • You let him go and he came back? That's a good sign surely, but maybe you should feed him and send him away again - he has to learn to be independent of you.

  • Frank, he doesn't have tail feathers. He can fly, but he can't maneuver very well. When he came back to me, he came back all tattered, like something tried to get him... So I will wait till the feathers grow out.

  • Could you do a video about letting him go? I think that would be nice.

  • SURE THING>>> I plan to do that. I did video tape it the first time, But I didn't post it, because I was sad, and I was sniffling in it. ( I am a big cry baby. too sentimental LOL ) I need to learn how to edit the sound out of it, and then I will put it together. and post it, too..

  • I will be praying for you Boomer!God Bless you MsGirlee.Love, pepe and peggie

  • Thank you !!! xoxo ((HUGS))

  • LOL..your dog is named Casey and my bird is named Casey. You are soo good with animals. I will say "Hi" to Boomer! Hi!

  • Boomer says...tweet, tweet... (translation) > HI NEOTRIFIC!! and HI CASEY. ( your bird)

  • you say thanks for all our support but watching you gives me and probably many others a good feling:)

  • Hey, Sis.. thanks for watching. I know that you can relate, because you are a rescuer yourself!! ;)) xoxo

  • It's good to see he's doing well.

Mari, you truly are the patron saint of sparrows!

  • Thanks for your support. You know that I love doing this, just trying to help a little.

  • You have thought of everything for Boomer! I think you are so cool for the love & care you have provided him. Have a great weekend!

  • Thank you for the kind words...!! And you, too have a most great weekend, as well...

  • You're so special, Mari, to take such good care of Boomer! I love the idea of a seed tray for visiting friends! Then he'll be used to his 'own kind'. Get well & strong, Boomer! Hugs, Pam

  • Thanks my friend, thanks for the support. Give Madeline and Murphy a kiss from me!!

  • They both a lick in for you too! Don't tell Boomer, but Madeline tries to go after his "kind". Schnauzers!

  • Aww...bless his little heart. And bless you for taking care of Boomer. hugs, Chris

  • Thank you Chris....xoxoxo

  • Looks like Boomer's got a really good home to recuperate in, Yayyy. You're a true angel to do this for him. I would have never thought about leaving a seed tray so other birds could come and keep him company.

  • Thanks Blink... You think Suzy can find another stray bird in your house and Boomer can have some company!! LOL

  • Hehehe, I'm pretty sure Suzy could easily oblige. I've caught and released one bird since I made that one video. Basically I took it out of her mouth so there really wasn't a lot to film, so it didn't make it to video.

  • Good to see he will be ok soon. He must know this is a safe place for him.

  • Hi Dave, thanks for stopping by... I think he followed his stomach, as well..hehe..

  • I wonder what happened to him. How long was he gone? Poor Boomer. Sweet Mari!

  • He was gone a Whole day. I let him go around 8 am, and by 10 pm, He was back in his old cage. I am trying to tell the whole story on my video description, but something is up with YouTube.. I can't even PM you guys!!

  • Boomer ;0) He Loves You.

    Roberta

  • I love Boomer, too. xoxo

  • so cute he came back!!!! oh it means you're a very beautiful person cause if not animals wuold not do this kind of things! :D say hello to Boomer and to your doggie, and cat, and the other dog..... (i saw some of your vids but i can't remember everyone!) :D hugs

  • HI MIKKO! Thanks for dropping by... I will tell my gang you said "HI" and please give Shiwa a kiss from me..xoxo

  • He came back cause he knew you would take good care of him! Thats awesome. Boomer is a cute name..lol Thanks for sharing with us how he is doing! =) Hugs

  • Thank you for your support. You're so nice. xoxo

  • Aww, I wonder what happened to his tail feathers?

  • Hi Lisa, I think that maybe a cat tried to get him...

  • Wow....you're good at that - it can be very hard to keep baby birds alive sometimes!

  • Yes I know. I originally found two.. and Boomer's sibling was younger and weaker. He didn't eat well, and he went to Birdie Heaven.

  • Hi Mari! Perfect timing on this video. I was going to PM you and ask you about him today. Good to know he made it back to you for shelter; I hope he can rehab successfully.

  • Thanks for the support. It just touched me that he flew back to me even in the dark of the night. He looked at me with those big sparrow eyes, and breathing like he was scared.. I had to rescue him again...

  • Yeehaaw, a fledgling update!! Ha ha Boomerang, eh.. Seems like you're stuck with a new pet! Luckily feathers grow out again, and hopefully he'll be back to his 'old' self before long.. :)

  • He needs a buddy, maybe I will get a chickie like your chickie for him!! Yeah!!

  • Sorry for the quality. I need a new camera. I tried to write in my video description, but it is not taking it. If you check back later I have the story of what happened to Boomer.. so check back, ok? thanks...Mari xoxo
