@DrizzieDre01 __ This trap would work if he would use CO2 from fermentation instead of dry ice which does not last long enough. The trap does not catch bugs which are already in the bed, about 95% of them. This trap only shows that CO2 works. Find a real trap at Bedbug War Facebook. See you there. :))

@KezefAdirion The entire point of his video was to expand on the bedbug monitoring advice given by the Rutgers University online info. He made it clear that following the Rutger advice alone was not enough. Talk was necessary.

just get a big pot or big bowl and put the cooler inside... fill it with water..they'll stil go in..and they'll be floating dead on the water...you dont fucing need a little seperated moat..who cares if ur cooler gets a bit wet LMFAO

@heres2living __ Not thorough enough. Dry Ice does not last long enough to catch all the bedbugs and can not catch the bedbugs already in the bed (about 95% of them). 9:13 I just saved 10 minutes of your life. This is basically what he says: Masterbate to dog bowl's for at least a week. Don't be a ginger. Don't have an annoying lisp. Just put your pets to the neighbors and the plants at the back of the yard as far away from the house as possible then hit the house with 400 Sv/hr Radium 226 source until you cook any bedbug within 1/4 mi of that source friggin' dead. I used to live in greenpoint bkln and there was this tire repair shop i lived near and i would get tons of flat tires. I had a conspiracy theory that they were going around the neighborhood planting screw on the road so they could get more business. There has been a huge epidemic in NYC recently that I think is another conspiracy by Sleepy's the mattress store to boost mattress sales. think about it. how long will a good mattress last? 10 years? Thats not good for business. anyone?
hang on a second, why not get a simple mask, make a single hose going out of it, into a splitterwith 2 one way velves, u have the inlet clear so u can inhale, and the outlet goes into a box with slow hardening glue with a filter or something stopping them going down the hose, then the bugs jump in, get stuck and simple,, or have i just made this more expencive? oh well,
Pt 2. Modified trap by putting a hand warmer under the glass bowl, and putting oil instead of powder. Still no bugs have been found.... Altho... Last night we had no dry ice, and woke up today with many bites. Tomorrow: Hot Shot fogger. Later this week: Bedlam spray and Sani-Fab spray. Tonight: trying tape all the way around the mattress. But it feels as if we are being bitten THRU the sheets! And the source MAY have been a new pillow that has been hot dryered twice already! ARG!
Tried this after we were being bitten several nights in a row. Used a small plastic bin, 100% talc powder, a glass bowl. I glued cloth to the outside of the bin, and powdered the interior and the glass bowl. We got dry ice from Smart & Final, and popped some onto a thermos just like the one in the video. TWO WEEKS AGO. Nothing. No bugs. There WAS a shed casing on the cloth one day but my exterminator proclaimed it a carpet beetle shed, and I agree. We have a LOT of carpet beetles.
Great advice and very thorough. Might be repetitive for some who've got nothing to do, but for those who might have a problem, or know ppl who have a problem, this is very helpful. Thank you for your time Jeff!

how about a liquid catcher rather than dust? Water might work, but if it freezes, Acetone will work. One other caution, too much dry ice (or acetone) will poison you. This much probably will do nothing, but a word of caution is still in order. Also another option that might work (and wouldn't be cold) would be to slowly drip water into (new) baking powder. @adnone1art I'll admit it...yo hablo espanol muy piquito...my spelling is bad, my grammar is bad..Spanish is NOT my secondary language. I can speak and read it better than I can write it. My apologies.

Instead of putting the towel *under* the cooler, what about *wrapping* the towel around the cooler itself (like an insulating sleeve), and securing it with elastic band?
@purewater0629 Dry ice is actually compressed carbon dioxide and when it melts (which is actually called subliming) it releases carbon dioxide which is a major component of what humans exhale.
@purewater0629 Dry ice is compress Corbin dioxide & bed bug's are attracted to Corbin dioxide. It's what we & all animals release when we exhale. That's how they find us. Same thing with mosquitoes.
thanks buddy, u really helped me and your trap really worked i had atleast capture 15-20 bugs and as you they were hungry bugs and i'm going keep on doing it for atleast 1-2 week.
Be prepared to use a LOT of dry ice. Dry ice doesnt last long ,something like 10 hours. The thing with bed bugs is, they usually have a blood meal then take a break for about 5 days. So have at least a week's worth of dry ice to use.

@00poxy um..hello? that comment was made over 2 months ago....get over it. stop complaining about OLD complaints.....and if a 9 year old were to tell me to "stup up" and threaten to take a dump on my floor, I'd send them straight back to the womb they came from.

@00poxy Wow...do your parents know that at 9 years old you are telling people to shut up?
wdharvey1 2 months ago
Respond to this video... 'cause if you were MY kid, you'd be slapped in the MOUTH, have your computer taken away from you, and sent to your room with NO TV. The only thing YOU would be doing is reading your textbooks from school and studying...wouldn't be too hard to find out who they are here in the internet...just gotta get that pesky ISP address.....etc...

This guy really needs to understand that when you do video, the viewer can take in a lot of information through his eyes, and you don't need to talk that much. This video could have been three minutes, tops.

Dry ice touching your skin isn't dangerous. I touch it all the time when I put it in bottles and stuff. Don't be scared of touching it
TheHalloweenFan 1 year ago
@TheHalloweenFan but prolonged skin contact can give you frost bite in less than 20 seconds
misterniceguy1111 1 year ago
@misterniceguy1111 Well of course, but you don't need gloves to put it in a bottle or a bucket, its not so dangerous

FYI, a unique blend of cedar oil and the proper delivery system can repel/kill bed bugs on a continuous basis in a cost efficient manner. The system will soon be available for various markets including the hospitality industry, college/university dorms and for consumer use, etc... for more information you can email jimangus@rogers.com

Instead of putting the towel *under* the cooler, what about *wrapping* the towel around the cooler itself (like an insulating sleeve), and securing it with elastic band?

why are the bugs attracted to the dry ice?
purewater0629 1 year ago 8
@purewater0629 Dry ice is actually compressed carbon dioxide and when it melts (which is actually called subliming) it releases carbon dioxide which is a major component of what humans exhale.

@BedBugCentralTV Isn't It Deadly?
WickedSpider12 5 months ago
@purewater0629 Dry ice is compress Corbin dioxide & bed bug's are attracted to Corbin dioxide. It's what we & all animals release when we exhale. That's how they find us. Same thing with mosquitoes.
blackmeinu 1 year ago
@purewater0629 to answer your question, bed bugs find their hosts by detecting carbon dioxide exhalation - dry ice is frozen carbon dioxide.

thanks buddy, u really helped me and your trap really worked i had atleast capture 15-20 bugs and as you they were hungry bugs and i'm going keep on doing it for atleast 1-2 week.
jatbrar78 1 year ago
Be prepared to use a LOT of dry ice. Dry ice doesnt last long ,something like 10 hours. The thing with bed bugs is, they usually have a blood meal then take a break for about 5 days. So have at least a week's worth of dry ice to use.
