  • I love this movie, first saw it on TCM, have been searching for it since! I simply adore his Mother!!

  • constantine makris in the credits ... dude directs law and orders

  • so she says to him: shut up youre always talking! remember her in Casino? she was great!

  • They are his parents, but it's incredible how much Martin looks like them now!

  • Amazing. It's quite amazing what film can do. To record such a time in his life, and the ability to visit that time and place so many years after. I can't imagine how personal this must be to Marty, perhaps the one he treasures the most.

  • i'm going to attempt to make Mrs Scorsese's sauce recipe, wish me luck

  • Anybody clicks 'dislike' on this movie and I'll break your legs.

  • The ending is priceless it feels like it's straight out of Good Fellas or something, I'll murder you, you won't get out of this house alive!" lol...

  • This is my parents, they are such lovable and charasmatic personalities.

  • Priceless. This reminds me of my family. I think the song is 'Anna Amore Mio'

  • Please does anyone know the name of the closing music. They always played that at Italian Weddings in the 50s and 60s.

  • i live in staten island

  • this is such a agood movie :D. his parents are charming :)

  • There is something about the older generation of people, inparticular those from certain parts of southern and eastern europe, who had a great ability to tell stories. I guess there was a bigger sense of exteneded family and togetherness back then and telling stories was a large part of family bonding.

Sadly it is becoming a lost art today amongst the new generations. Possibly because the role of new and fast interactive media has detached the individual from the family.

  • Charles is almost exactly what Marty looks like now.

  • Mrs Scorsese reminds me of my Nan.

A great raconteuse, and a powerfully magnetic presence.

    What a terrific presentation.

  • ...and the trees never bloomed any more.
