I cannot understand why so much fuss is being made about this performance. The key has been lowered so that both of them could actually sing the song, the ad libs cannot mask Beverly's raspy and airy tone, nor the fact that Christina can only cover an octave without sounding constricted and overtaxed. Her "high" notes (which are two steps lower than in the studio version) were just strangled croaks, and she couldn't even hold them.

This was mediocre at best.
