I used to wear a milwaukee brace back in 1975 thru 1977 and at that time,things were tougher, you felt like the only person on earth to wear one and isolation felt terrible on top of it! these comments on utube are a great help.... Hang on!

Go see a chiropractor immediately before your scoliosis gets worse. They may be able to fix without surgery.

Can I suggest get your therapist to get and use a Theraflex machine - this fixed my scoliosis without surgery

@amy1596 im sure you might have 1 right now since you posted this 8 months ago and already know about it, but i would just love to vent my feelings about my backbrace. okay, so first off, its really hard to sit down on the floor like you have to use muscle to like hold your knees and stuff, 2 mine goes like above my boobs so i look flat as a fucking board 3 i love hugs, but i dont want everyone knowing about my brace and when they hug me, i know they can tell and then we both kinda feel awkward.

@moomooguineas Ask your parents to take you to a chiropractor. They can fix scoliosis. Do a search on here with the terms scoliosis and chiropractor. Why suffer with a back brace till you have to have surgery which does leave scars and WILL limit your mobility given your back will be fused with rods and stuff when a chiropractor can fix your back with no surgery or braces.

@amy1596 4, you have to buy ALL new clothes! dude they gave me a video saying u wouldnt, but i only kept 2 shirts out of like 16! i had to get all new pants! honestly, i know those arent the only reasons but thats all i can think of right now. its really just a pain and hassle and it really puts a damper on your self esteem too.

mines a 36 degree angle and im goin to get a brace in two weeks. whats ur degree? and how long did it take to get use to it?

mine was a 40 degree angle, but now it is a 28 after almost a year in it!!!! but the first week is hell, but then u kinda get used 2 it, it kinda will always b a little uncomfortalble, but after a while u kinda forget itz there. But on the bright side, ppl can punch u as hard as they want and u can't feel anything!!!! lol

i have to wear a spincor soft brace and i can do everythiong in it...dance...you name it....i think it would be worth tlkin to your dr about it becasue its more affective
