Mine used to do that until I started filling in the holes with the dirt that was dug up. In addition to the dirt I added Juneau's (huskie from Laura too) poop in the whole about 3 inches down and she now doesn't go back to that area to dig. A good idea passed on to me. Hopefully it works for you.
