  • Creole is a race! omfg im from new orleans! Creole is my race, yes im mix with black but i have more native american and french and irish ancestry! Read up on the history people, before you come to youtube!

  • Creole or black..

    WE ARE ALL AFRICAN AMERICANS!!

    One nation

  • Creole or black..

    WE ARE ALL AFRICAN AMERICANS!!

    One wolrd

  • Creole is black you stupid motherfuckers

  • Damn shut the fuck up! Almost everyone has a mix in them, beyonce is just proud of hers, stop trying to put people undeer that One Drop Rule Bullshit!

  • loving this song so much!

  • Creole does not mean racially mixed. However when used to describe the typical "Louisiana Creole" it sometimes implies a mixture of races. You ignorant fucks! Anyways cool song. lol

  • Damn her vocals are killing in this song

  • Creole is a culture not a race

  • Who has seen the new Loreal commercial where it has that Beyonce's African American, Native American and French as her heritage? Kinda equals to a Louisiana Creole which is where her mom is from..hmmmm

  • We Haitians are one of the *roots* of creole peoples.

  • @SudanCarib huh??? lol NO..completely different creole. Creole is a term used to described many different things

  • These have got to be the stupidest arguments I have ever heard. It's not all that big a deal. It's a song damn it. Listen to it and shut the fuck up!

  • for the idiots creole is of black descent with either native american or french or Irish ancestry which can be black educate yourselves

  • ANY person saying they are not "black" but "Creole" is a fool. Point. Blank. Period. Creole is a culture (language, food, etc...)...the mixture the term ORIGINALLY referred to is so far down the line it should barely be mentioned anymore. MOST....damn near ALL African Americans have some mixture in their heritage, walking around calling yourself "Creole" is just another way for people to avoid calling themselves "black." That's the honest truth!

  • @Gracie9007 what she said! ^

  • but this song is stupid

  • creole just means a mix...whether its an ethnic or linguistic mix...its just a mixture...there can be creole ppl from everywhere...there are french creoles, haitian creoles, american creoles, cape verdean creole...Beyonce is an American creole meaning that her roots are of european(spanish and/or french) and african mix...hence why american creole sounds like haitian creole because of the french influence

  • @unknowndcp I guess you just couldn't resist the urge to respond, It's a language. I'm pretty sure you did some searching because you didn't think of that from the top of your head. The next time you feel compelled to respond to one of MY comments...don't!

  • But every créole say there are creole it's like this in our language! we said we are créole...it's like when someone said I speak french or I'm french ...I speak créole and I'm créole, it's like that

  • You can't be creole, it's a language. The nationality it belongs to is Hatian, you retards!

  • @lilwun15 there are also people who are creole hun: Black,French, and Spanish mix. Educate Yourself.

  • shut up about all this "Creole this, I'm creole, Creole that. Shes creole she we arent askin about YOU! any ways i love the song

  • When you watch Beyoncé you can't see if she's créole or not it's not something you can see like this! there's créole with dark skin and créole with light skin ...Ma mama is a light skin creole woman with curly hair and ma father is a dark skin créole man with nappy hair and they are both créole! Créole is not what you think look at Denzel, Rihanna, Wyclef yes they are black and yes they are créole! the majority of Créole are blacks...

  • oh wow i thought creole was actually a type of language that had to do with people of haitian background... thats prett cool creole has many meanings =)

  • you should identify Beyonce as Beyonce not as being black or creole. But if you want to acknowledge her as being a color or something then just say shes Black. I mean when do you ever see her in an interview acknowledging that she is White or creole. Identify her as how she wants to be identified which is most likely as Beyonce.

  • I love this song because im French creole and brown skin

  • Maybe I'm wrong... and a bunch of people might attack me for writing this but (just saying... idky there's too much aggresion)... I think the song isn't about being BLACK, or HISPANIC, or whatever racism you may attach to it. I think she's singing about the flavor, the joy, the attitude of being creole, rather than the actual skin color... it's just the mixture of many cultures into a whole group of joy. The jazz music, typical from New Orleans is part of that joy, that happiness creoles have :)

  • mix of culture and nationality between african, jamaican, spanish, french, portuguese...

  • the reason why mixed blacks are still only counted as black aka yella bones and red bones is because in history the pervs raped the slaves creating brown children and so on so rape shouldnt count but ayee you can still say yu mixed lol but if it is volentary then you can pertake of you Europe past or black african past but ayee every ones different and color dont matter hasnt matterd fr a long time now and before all this south civil war and atlantic slave trade it never did depending on place

  • @brendout20 most of what you wrote is an urban myth. When black people first arrived in 1620 they were brought as Indentured servants from Angola. Angola had been in contact with portugal for a hundred years and was mostly catholic already. Those people were a type of creole, weather mixed or not. It's about culture.

Even during slavery (1670 to 1860) mixed race people were counted in various ways. In early census records weather one was slave or free was counted not even race.

  • @Quantumgeometer oh got ya its a touchy topic for people but i love looking it up lol

  • as a creole, i don't see why so many of yall are making such a fuss... Creole is black no matter how you spin it. Beyonce knows what she is... chill out

  • Creole Pride WorldWide !

  • MOST black people have a mix in them but they are still counted as black. Beyonce's mother is quarter creole. This does not make Beyonce creole. Therefore, U can clearly see Beyonce is BLACK unless ur blind (no offence). But anyways what's so important about that. It's her voice that should count!

  • @94amel beyonces mother is a full blood creole so sftu and get ur stuff together!! and yes beyonce is creole!!

  • @Beyoncefan1000 if her mother's creole that doesnt make her creole . its just like saying beyonces dad is full black that makes her black. YOU FUCKING HYPOCRITE !!

  • @94amel well you blacks be trying to claim every damn body when the truth is that, just because you have afro american blood in you doesnt make you black automatically!! but beyonce is creole and you disgreeing doesnt make your perception of it right either!!!

  • @Beyoncefan1000 well same goes to u if ur agreeing with it , it "doesnt make your perception of it right either" ughh too many hypocrites on this DUMB ASS SUBJECT!!!

  • @94amel If her mother is creole, then that makes her part creole...

  • @jamieleeke14 But that doesn't make her fully creole over all she is black! Ever wonder why shes at the BET awards?

  • @bestsingerever111 She's part black, part creole. I didn't say she was fully creole. Does it even matter?

  • @94amel Creole is a CULTURE not a race!!!! I am a CREOLE and I AM BLACK!!! Creole is a mixture of AFRICAN (West African mostly Benin or Nigeria) French, Spanish and in many cases Native American! Creoles are BLACK from the lightest almost damn near white to the ones that are dark as night! Beyonce is BLACK and she has NEVER DENIED THAT FACT because both of her parents are BLACK one just happens to be CREOLE!

  • @TexadaArmsted creole is black and Europen mix end of

  • @ibanez856 Black is African you idiot and Europeans are apart of the mix but A CREOLE IS A BLACK PERSON!

  • @TexadaArmsted um okay.. I posted a comment on your channel explaining it to you. peace.

  • @ibanez856 wow you're going to try to explain CREOLE to some one that CREOLE! Cela n'a aucun sens! Savez votre histoire parce que vous avez l'air d'un idiot!

  • @TexadaArmsted Hi, I'm creole

  • @pishi974 Hi I'm Creole and I think that those people don't even now what créole is...

    ps; je suis reunionnaise ^^

  • @94amel ..her mother is pure blood creole. African native and french. that is not a pure african. and yes many african americans have some sort other blood in them but its so far down the line that it would count. how can you be mixed if you have a family who was white about 8 generatios ago...thats how much of a mixture black people have in them. she technically half creole half african. you may think its the same but its not. please do you research before opening your unintelligent mouth.

  • @TenshiTamagoKidd15 i ment wouldnt count

  • @TenshiTamagoKidd15 omg pls shut up y r u so defensive if shes got creole in her or not.. Just remember she doesn't know who the fuck u r .. whateva ur opinion is it dont matter bcuz shes not gona read this stupid ass comment

  • @94amel your comment makes no sense. you can't be quarter creole! creole means u have mixed french spanish black or native american. u can't have quarter all of that mix WHAT. Beyonce's Mum is mainly of french decent, with a little black thats why her complexion is so light, therefore beyonce is creole. i am st lucian creole, not light skinned but still have creole ancestry and all my relatives speak the language which is a mix of french and african

  • @94amel your just a hatein ass bitch thats all. mad because what? she dosent classify herself as black? im not doing this for her im stating my own damn opinion. shes both

  • I love this song shows the funny side of Beyonce.

  • i think she knows shes black

  • @wsintel shes creole dumbass!!! you black cunts are so ignorant lol

  • @Beyoncefan1000 shut the fuck up u dont know nothing ,she is black she will be on the slave shape with all of us.

  • @Beyoncefan1000 dumb bitch dont fucking writie me again .i never had to write something like this to no body before, get the fuck out of here before i say something to your stupid ass.

  • wtf . why r y'all saying she's not Creole ? she wouldn't be singing this if she wasn't O.o She is from her mother's side ..

  • show !

  • Toi ta bouche she is creole et j'enmerde tousles gens qui disent que elle n'est pas creole

  • She's not creole because she wears nappy weaves. Only pretty women with long silky real hair are mixed or creole. She has nappy weave, no?

  • @canttouchthis421 wtf yu talkin bout her weaves soft af lol but her real hair is curly like when she was lil but nun that matters because she is talented =)

  • SMH! I'm cringing at the comments on here claiming that Beyonce is black. Also its ridiculous how some of y'all think Beyonce is not mixed when SHE IS! Uh, no, she is NOT BLACK. She is Louisiana Creole AND Native American. PERIOD. It's stupid of y'all on here to spew bullshit about Beyonce and her family history that is inaccurate.

  • @chsn09 u sound dumb talk what u because beyonce is BLACK smh she said it herself and creole is not a race its a culture dumb shit

  • @chsn09 Look at the color of her skin how can u tell me shes not black!!! black means that you have some sort of color of pigmentation last time i checked Beyonce was b;ack and so is her father! My dad has french in him his mom was white but his dad was black and therefore hes black yes you could say that Beyonce has some sort of Mixture in her but over all shes BLACK!!!

  • @chsn09 If Mariah Carey can admit shes black then so can Beyonce

  • @bestsingerever111 - I thought Mariah carey had a White Irish mom? so shes mixed not fully black

  • @chsn09 Beyonce mom is creole but she calls herself a black woman.. i guess she's lying on herself too huh?

  • The instrumental is okay, but the actual song is really shit when you think.

  • stajettes dance to this song

  • sweetie the word your misiing is broth " it makes a good broth" now that was just common sense

  • luv it

  • this song reminds of amerie's "one thing"

  • Aww! my great-grandma creole........

  • @lys84 yup

  • @rainbowk11d ok

  • reppin' this! ;)

shout out to any creoles out there! mauritian, seychellois etc. (:

  • Creole is a culture.. not limited to a racial group.... And her father isn't creole... she can't even speak..does she even know the culture? Lol My family is mixed from Mobile and creoles come in a billion shades... they just tend to favor yellowbones.

  • creole is not so much a language. its a way of speaking! they speak it in belize. where my mum comes from

  • creole is just a language. no more!

  • @MisterShaq7427 CREOLE IS A MIX OF DIFFERENT RACES!! ITS NOT JUST A LANGUAGE YOU FOOL!!

  • ima brown bone :) ayeeee/

  • lmao i could have sworn biracial meant when your two parents are two different races. my grandmother is half white so im not biracial, she is. @cleopatrajones is a trip.she is trying to make bey biracial. bey is MOSTLY black and i know some africans that are lighter than her.

  • im African American and Native American but i look Asian African and white. and in the summer my hair is brown with red high lights in the winter my hair is black and the spring and fall it is brown. and everyone tries to tell me what race i am

  • @kjhrcs The same with me but im not creole im west indian (arrawak indian)

  • @MrLatinUnity666 u dont even need to say niggers .. cuz im black and creole and i would never say that .nd for ur information creole is french ,spanish, native americian, africian american ,

or it can be haitin so gets your facts right im 13 and i know that

  • je croyais que ct une parodie en créole --'

  • @bob97418 Moi aussi j'croyais --"

  • @MrLatinUnity666 seriously bitch get a clue and a fucking life. your ignorant is hitting me so hard i think i might have to go to the hospital. you think you're big and bold because you can say "nigger" online? say that to a group of black people. i encourage you to say it. I pray to GOD you tell me your location so i can fly out to see their reaction.

  • @MrLatinUnity666 uMMM...i'M aFRO lATINO....thanks to the mercies of god and his mother latinos come in a beautiful rainbow of coors. you are either ignorant of history, a malicious revisionist, or a fucking troll. All day every day I am proud to be Spanish, Italian, Native American, African, and Irish--now having said that this song is about a particular subculture in Southern Louisiana; so shut up you ignorant fuck.

  • @DominicanoOR im drunk forgive the copious amount of typos.

  • @MrLatinUnity666 just get the fuck on with your life and this can be settled

  • Les créoles français sont les Guadeloupéens et Martiniquais sont des décendants des français et des africains.

  • @MrLatinUnity666 and niggers? unless your hood like that and ADD AN A TO THE END of the word you have no authroity to say that word

would you like if we said you crackers steal everything like whites trying to convert to the hood style and rap music....

  • @MrLatinUnity666 anyone notice's this bitch name has 666 in it

  • @MrLatinUnity666 thats a lie bc my mom is french(white) creole but born and raised in Jamaica which technique shes black but of a white skin tone and my grandmother is native(moron)creole and my granddad is a mixture of all three and guess what we r all black!,what im saying is u can come from ANY race and still be considered creole..they r dutch creoles, german creoles, Haitian creoles, jamaican creoles etc, but more famous r the Louisiana creoles who r mixture just like the Jamaican creoles

  • @MrLatinUnity666 creole is a mixture of spanish, french , native american , and african. the word is a spanish word because the european spaniards had control of the area the word comes from.

  • Creoles are sexyy!!

  • get a life

  • I'm black, but I'm also creole, I come from a mixed race family, but we come in all different shades.

  • loved the beat the lyrics not so much

  • who ever has black in their skin like if their colour is black, i am mixed i am half white half black. but i consider myself black 4 one i am mosly arround black ppl nd i am coloured so i am black. beyonce is black. ok. she is mixed but her outta colour is black o she is black. who cares. shes gr8 at what she does done and dusted. shes black man lol

  • @2196Songbird SHES FAIR SKINNED!! SHE NOT BLACK LIKE YOU

  • @Beyoncefan1000 yhhh but wats ur point u can b light black 2 so dont mean anything

  • @2196Songbird yeah but she is Creole!! big fucking difference smh

  • @Beyoncefan1000 ummm but is black a colour yes nd she is soooo....... either way she casts herself as black lets jus end it dont rlly care anymor lol

  • @Beyoncefan1000 ok kll :s

  • Comment removed

  • @Beyoncefan1000 Beyonce is Black B-L-A-C-K lol ok? Her mom and grandmother and that side of her family is creole and r 4rm New Orleans. Not sayin she doesnt have creole blood in her but beyonce is black and she has said that in many interviews sayin she pround to be a strong BLACK woman lol

  • @shipp715 Virtually anywhere outside the US (UK, France, Brazil) she would be considered mixed race, which is what she is. Only the US had such an extreme racial dichotomy with its "one drop".rule. Even racist South Africa recognised mixed race people. Surely the lyrics are about being mixed race. She reminds me a bit of British singer Leona Lewis, who is also mixed race.

  • @keith904A beyonce isnt mixed race tho, her father is black as well as her mother. i guess u gonna call beyonce mixed u can call every black person in america mixed cuz we all got different roots. the lyrics r more so talkin about Black ppl come in all different shades light skin and dark skin etc. My brother is the same skin tone as beyonce, my skin tone is more like michelle williams(former destinys child member) so u mean to tell me my brother would b considered mixed? a

  • @shipp715 true creoles are black, but there heavy seasoned with alot of mixtures, my family look anything but black most of them do, and the the ones who look all black is not dominance in my family. blue and green eyes is the dominance color

  • @keith904A now leona lewis is mixed one parent is black on is white. but in beyonces case both parents r black

  • @Beyoncefan1000 Dont Believe me type "Beyonce Speaking Haitian Creole, Sak Pase?" in the search box she says it herself

  • @shipp715 SHES lOUISIANA CREOLE!!! DONT GET IT TWISTED!! I KNOW THAT BECAUSE I HAVE RELATIVES IN LOUISIANA AND THEY ALL ARE CREOLE SO DONT BULLSHIT ME!!!

  • @Beyoncefan1000 ill believe beyonce over u =) lol like i said type in "Beyonce speaking Haitian creole, sak pase?" her mother and her grandparents and family on her moms side is creole. beyonce has creole blood and roots.

  • @shipp715 YEAH THEY ARE CREOLE BUT THEY'RE NOT HAITIAN CREOLE!!!! THEY'RE ALL FRENCH CREOLES FROM LOUISIANA!!

  • @Beyoncefan1000 I never said they was Haitian i clearly said creole "Haitian Creole " was the title of the video but either way Creole is Creole French Haitian w/e thats not my point my point is Beyonce is Black and Her mother and Her mother side of the family (Tina's mom, dad, brothers, sisters, and Beyonces cousins) R creole. Beyonce has Creole Roots and its apart of her haritage on her mothers side but when it boils down to it shes black.

  • @Beyoncefan1000 u tryin to make it seem like creole is a racial group lol Creole is a culture not a race but that creole background typically comes from a ppl who r mixed black, spanish, french, and native american.

  • @shipp715 duhhh that was the samething i was trying to tell you from the get go!!!

  • @Beyoncefan1000 naw cuz u over here tryin 2 say the girl not black andim like ummmmmmmm? lol

  • brown bone!

  • Comment removed

  • YEEEEEEEEEAH!!!! YELLABONE <---------

  • Lol creole is not mixed . I'm creole nd I'm not mixed. I'm juz of African American, French, Spanish nd Native American decent . Creole ppl can b any skintone nd look almost any race . Like mii grandma is creole but she she looks Asian wich she's not . Looks can b decieving . Like I even ended up wit blonde nd red-brown hair !

  • @BraxtonBabii You're Right thats like Beyonces mom..she looks asian but shes not lol

  • @BraxtonBabii that does not make since, how can creoles look like any race if there not mixed? you gotta have those in your blood to take on those features

  • Proud to be creole...

  • aww Beyonce you're further dividing us (lol like we need more reasons to be less cohesive). what do I get to call my kind Black/German....German Chocolate Cake?

    :/

    No...

  • All ma fellow French Creoles in the houseeee lemme see where ya'll at!!!

  • Nowadays the question aint who is mixed but who aint? LMAO

  • love this..so much swagga !

  • Beyonces father is from Alabama and her mother is a Louisiana Creole born and raised in Galveston Texas. Beyonces mother's full name is Celestine Tina Beyince. Both of Tina's parents are french speaking Creoles from Delcambre and New Iberia Louisiana!!!!! I didnt make this up ok!! These are REAL FACTS!!!

  • For the dumb people saying Beyonce is not black. In the state of LA(where beyonce mother's people are from) Creole is considered a mixture of African, Native American, and any European(though typically french)

I'm Creole(but consider myself black), my grandfather can past for white is his parents are FrenchXAfricanXNative !

Creole is basically the same thing as mixed(just a more distinct mixture), and like the majority of mixed people we claim black!

    Nice try though white people.

  • @liljjjj Creole is not the same as mixed. There are white creoles. Beyonce is black because she is mostly of African ancestry. white people in general are 70-90+ white. One of the biggest white nations in the world has a white population who are 70% white in ancestry. The average creole of colour is 80% African/black. Beyonce has a creole mother(on average 80% black) and a non creo le African American father (80-90%+black) Beyonce is no more mixed then many white people..

  • It kinda sounds like freakum dress!! btw I love it!!!

  • i love how she shout's out redbone, yellow bones, and brown bones:) i love her .

  • I FIT IN! CREOLE BABY!!

  • On another note, it was smart that her management team did not release this song. Beyonce already gets a lot of heat about her skin-tone. Releasing a song that's all being proud to be light-skin would have cause a ruckus like no other.

For one, Creole should not equate to being light-skin. There are Creoles who are dark-skin--whether they are mixed-race or simply from Cajun country. Secondly, the light/dark skin issue is a heated topic in the black community. No bueno for Bey's reputation.

  • @synthmusic although im not a big fan of this song i dont think shes saying that Creole equates to light-skin...just that shes proud of creole? Honestly I dont see the point of this song.

  • In this song Beyonce is paying tribute to her Creole roots. Her mother's family is originally from Louisiana. I believe Beyonce acknowledge that her family are Louisiana Creole decedents in an interview. She also pointed out that there are members in her family that speak the Louisiana-Creole language--not Haitian-Creole. She is Creole, but not Haitian-Creole.

  • Beyonce is not Haitian. She is from the Louisiana-Creole heritage --not Haiti-Creole heritage. I think people are confusing the term Creole. Creole means a mix or a combination. Creole can refer to a language, ethnicity/race, or food. It really depends on what the speaker is referring to.

In the US, Creole is used interchangeably to reference the mix Louisiana culture and the bi-racial community (typically descendents from white and black marriages).

  • @synthmusic Exactly! Louisiana Creoles are NOT from Haiti!

  • Look it up at Wikipedia Louisiana Creole People- Google it.

  • why do haitians think they are the only creoles in the world? don't forget there are a whole lot of us here in Africa. Beyonce, Mauritius loves you!

  • And just for clarities sake, people can define themselves how they like. No one can be compelled to wear any labels they don't want. I have a really darkskinned African American friend, who based on have an Irish great grandfather has started calling himself white. I think that's beautifully subversive and really good for the whole project of one day annulling race.

  • I'm so proud of being Creole.

  • I didnt ask to be haitian i just got lucky

  • I Hope yall all know she is haitian <3

  • @chelsealafrance21 beyonce is not haitian. louisiana creole culture has some similarities, but they are not the same people group (although admittedly they historically shared the French language, a Voodoo tinged Catholicism, and varying degrees of African ancestry).

  • Creole is looked at more as a culture and not a race. Which is why you don't see the word "Creole" used to mark that government box. Sure now, one has the option of marking "other" or for those that want to be precise, writing in their "mixed heritage."

  • Louisiana Creole till the death of me. My Mother has STRONG Creole genes. We now reside in Canada, due to my ancestors escaping through the underground railroad into Nova Scotia in 1821. Beyonce is probably a cousin somewhere in there. LOL. This made me even more proud than I already am, to be who I am. I love you for this Beyonce. That Creole Sexy? It's all over me. <3.

  • @allantecathey :I HEARD THAT!!!!!!!!!

  • So much ignorance lol i did not read a comment on this page that has some fundamentals to back it up. why are we as humans so confused about race and skin color its very sad. educate the world maybe one day i wont have to read this type of things lol.

  • Make me think of New Orleans!!!! I love it cuz it reminds me of home :)

  • it's like back-up

  • I'm creole, lousiana creole green eyes german back ground I'm red bone , but I'm still black not in skin color but a creole women.. People know days don't want to be black or associated with black..uuh can't be to much of a creole without black some black...I've seen alot of the time the darker the creole the finer the hair lighter green eyes and napier hair. Don't argue about what color. when your half white avg black that does not make you creole.

  • most creole are dark skin and can speak french louisiana creoles cant read or speak creole beyonce can barly speak correct english haitians are true creoles sorry bey

  • @supersonicunleashed0 im creole, nd im not darkskin im (brown-boned) as Beyonce put it, or light brown, I cant speak french, and I CAN read as can the rest of my family and many of the other creole people I kno

...so im sorry but Im not sure what you're talking about.
