  • looks just like one on bare Jackson right now lol

  • love the mopars man good cars

  • STALKER!!!

  • @iSelwynable The man driving the superbird is the camera man's brother, and a friend of both of them is driving the camera car...

  • Sir, you have some Plymouth on your wing.

  • I think i have seen this car at atlanta motor speedway for the friday night drags, except it was in the car show.

  • Decent superbird clone, The missing window plug I didn't notice. Of all things it was the speed-o lol. Great job on it!

  • Superbirds are so rare, the only 1 I've ever seen driving around, was THIS one, about twenty yrs ago--wierd!

  • @Jgeneraledger23 Did you see it in reading, MA?

  • @MovieMakerKeith I think so! Do you own this car, or know who does?

  • @Jgeneraledger23 My Dad's friend had the owned and had the car restored in the 1990's went by the name of Bill

  • @MovieMakerKeith haha thats funny cuz i live in Mass!!

  • @78LilRedExpress440 When I was a kid, I lived in Central Mass & hung out at a local pizza shop after school. a woman who worked there used to get dropped off by a, light blue with white lettering, Superbird 4-5 days a week. Back then we'd see 3-4 winged cars around Fort Devens. I almost bought a Lime Green, White top, Challenger R/T-SE 6 pack, 4-spd with Argent Shaker.I haggled over a bondo over creased 1/4 panel & wrinkled vinyl near the right rear window.Who knew $3,200+ in 1980 was a deal

  • good old sunco 94 octane, now gone cause of the epa

  • @harley1450000 I miss the days of Sunoco 260. It was 102 octane at the pump.

  • @shelbycharger 260 was before my time ,it was 94 unleaded when i was into cars

  • as an owner of a superbird I never get sick of the looks on peoples faces when I drive it down the street... I can walk out look at he car and everything is good in the world... Yes I'm a car nut!!! I love this video tought and the song is great!

  • Man, I wish I had one of those bad boys. The Superbird is Lamborghini cool, perhaps even more so.

  • One day on coast highway a guy pulls up next to me in my bird and says " that is cool'er than a lambo.. because we see lambos all the time in CA and this was the first bird he'd ever seen on the street!

  • Right, so if you REALLY do own a Superbird... You wouldn't mind making a video of it, right?? Otherwise, nobody believes your bullshit.

  • @Sarcasticscum May I ask what you're driving? I am willing to make a little wager that you don't even own a classic car? As for a video... I guess I could ask my kids to help post one on here but it's just not important to me.

  • @MemnochSB451

You're exactly right! :) I do not own a classic car, but I am the only child, and dad has already promised his collection to me. :D I'm currently at the Pratt School of Engineering, working on my Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

  • Such a ridiculous car, yet I love it.

  • keith, does he still own the car

  • no, sold it a while back

  • the rear spoiler looks like it would slow it down some with the air drag.

  • It keeps the butt down at over 200 mph on the track with a hemi in it.. Just ask The King - Richard Petty

  • ive always wanted one, me and my dad restored a 1969 plymouth sport satilite, with a 383. we sold for 20,000 with 67,000 original miles

  • what year was this vid made?

  • some time in the early 90's

  • One of these, or a Daytona in mint condition can bring over $1,000,000.00 at a Barrett-Jackson.

  • sweet ,power windows

  • i love anything to do with dodge or mopar nice vid

    jess

  • at the mopar nats 2 years ago in carlisle pa.some guy had a white hemi superbird with 3000 origanal miles!..these cars sat on the show room floor in some dealers till 73'!!

  • that rare of a car, I'd be so afraid of driving in streets, the nose cone alone is priceless

  • nope, down in MA

  • where in MA

  • Nice to see one moving finally, even if its in a video. Road presence is off the charts. Have to ask, camera car? Sounded pretty beefy in that quick sound clip.

  • It definitely is nice to see one on the streets, I saw one at a local car show and that was something! From the stories, Its not a camera car.

  • whats a camera car

  • Great to see someone drive one!

  • ahhhhh. one of the best muscle cars

  • I don't live to far away from Big Daddy's in Florida. Have several friends with Mopars. Gotta love the Birds!!! Never had more fun then when we Fired em up late at night outside of Denny's and let em arm up. People stopped eatin and came outside to check us out.

  • i bow before the bird! i've only seen maybe three of them in my life and only one of them was being driven , the rest were trailer queens . good to see another gets to do what she was born to do! good vid

  • wow this car is badass!

what's the name of this song?

  • Better Now by Collective Soul

    Hell yeah it's badass!!

  • nothing like an rb motor and a torque flite

  • Nice & clean

  • love your old pictures of the car,the 70's are alive.

  • Probably also a cool and better fitting song: Fu Manchu "Super Bird" .... fuckin' nice ride!

  • did you own this car since new?

  • Cool production MovieMakerKeith it has all the right ingredients AWESOME CAR! and GREAT MUSIC! I am a diehard MOPAR freak.

  • brake light is out

  • Very nice! I've always run dual quads on my 440's when ever I could. I've always liked Birds like this. I remember Richard Petty did very well with them.

  • talk about getting a wet dream lol

  • Name of the music ?

  • SWEET!!!!!!

  • notice he stopped at a gas station

  • big fuckin deal

  • Dang, is that a hemi?

  • man this was my favorte car as a kid. imglad i grew up around mopars. my dad had a '72 roadrunner. i cant wait to get a charger or roadrunner!

  • Ahhh...the Good Ole' Days, when I could walk down the street and admire the Superbird's, GTX's, Cuda 440 six paks and Hemi-Challengers at my local Chrysler-Plymouth Dodge dealer. And only wish I could afford one when I was 16 years old. I only got as far as a 1968 Plymouth Fury III with a 383, a 1970 Dodge Monaco with a 440 Magnum, and 1967 Dodge Dart with a 225 Slant-Six.

  • Is this a real one?

  • what about the Charger Daytona? go Patriots!

  • 1970 Plymout Superbird/ A Real Stock Car** SIMPLY PUT: THE BADDEST MUSCLE/FULL RACE READY CARS, EVER MADE -- NASCAR READY! And in case you gents don't remember, that was a production built (i.e. drive it off the show room floor, for about $2,500.00), STOCK-RACE-CAR! It stayed on the ground, in traffic, while racing, going a MERE 200 Mph. Oh, and that was almost 40 years ago. TOP THAT -- Sir 'Redcoat'; then or now, apples to apples and BANG for the BUCK. :) Cheers Mate

  • Great car and great song!!!

  • Brake light isn't working = lemon

  • lol

  • the car is 30+ years butthead, please stay with your hyunda and leave real cars to the big boys

  • Well technically the 440 was standard and the 426 hemi was an option. Thats the only two factory motors that went into the birds.

  • i thought the 440 was an option

  • did those come with a 426 hemi or a 383, what does this car have?

  • 440 was standard in all superbirds, i don't know about the 426 hemi. This one has a 440 and so does the camera car.

  • sry bout da inaccuracy in my earlier post it wuz 503 daytonas and 2000 sum suberbirds

  • Nice car for a nopar (Ops, Mopar) but his left brake light is out

  • keep the motor in this leave this 1 alone these are very rare only 500 sum made

By the way! Do u know where I can buy one??

  • holly fucking shit that was a very sexy car my dreem car droooool me want lol

  • Great Video !

But i could be better with some engine's rumbles...

  • Thanks, that's what everyone says. The only thing is that you hear talking in the film car more than the engine, except for the highway part

  • Yes... Great vid and car anyway !

    Thanks for answer !

  • yea i know the most to its amazing how many people know nothing about cars. i also like a little of everything but for me mopars the most.

  • Dude the plymouth superbird kicks the mustangs ass maybe but then what about a boss 429???

  • it would be close but the 427 wedge motor was good too

    most fords suck ass

    go gm and mopar

  • Yeah but the crown victoria police intercepter can burn rubber nicelly..

  • is this an origonal white bird

  • chrylser claimed a 13.5 @ 105mph for the hemi powered superbird.

  • how much on quater mile?

  • wow man i absolutely love this car i have dreamed of having won since i was like 6 and saw my neighbors. gotta love taht american muscle

  • i may be 14 but i know more then some people the joe dirt car was a 69 charger daytona and this is a 70 superbird made by plymouth and this car is way better looking and in better condition

  • im only 14 too

i know way i know way more than anyone in my grade about cars

is it the same thing with u?

  • ya joe dirts beater version i a dodge daytona charger not a superbird you dipshit and why would you want that beater version this car kicks ass

  • wow that nick guy cant take a joke an yea thats a funny movie, i like the hemi satellite or whatever it was in that movie

  • yeah that fuckin asshole needs to calm the fuck down they look almost the same but what ever hes just a cock breath!

  • nice video of a great car. my cousin had a 1970 rt charger with a 440/six pack. what a ride for 16 year old back then. we burned off a set of tires one summer but was worth the girls we picked up LOL

  • yea i love these cars.. my uncle owns 2 o them..haha...he's paralized... ain't that a bitch.. but i got to drive one & oh man.. fuckin great

  • I like that 1970 plymouth superbird. Too bad today, they just make minivans. I like the music too. Nice video, a way to get the word out.

  • Yeah but hopefully with the new Challenger it will spark some more models.

  • I gotta build me one of these cars one day.

  • Sweeeeeeeeeet!

  • it s a very nive car. Have u ever heard of Doc in Wisconsin he has got and onrange won in excellent condition

  • Anyway, beautiful car. I have four different Superbird model sizes on display here at home, so there is no mistaking my own fanaticism for those that we invite over. Have a 1/18 green/black wing '70 Daytona sitting on my monitor right now. And, just a few more.....

  • Tail lights out...

    EXCELLENT CAR!

  • I was amazed to learn from a reference book that the rearward facing scoops on top of the front fenders were an impromptu but effective fix for curing the tires rubbing the fenders, because at higher speeds they had so much downforce. Vert nice car.

  • Your reference book is incorrect. Also, look how wide the scavenging device is in comparison to the racing tires used. With those proportions in mind you can see that they provide no additional clearance whatsoever. The fact is that they were placed there to relieve air pressure in the wheel well at racing speed.

  • Good video and a DAM fine car!

  • one out of four says "spiketv-muscle cars"the white Roadrunner that is

  • When these things debut at Daytona in 1969, they ran a 20 mph faster top speed than anybody else out there. I think around 185 or 190 mph. When I was a kid around 72, in Orange, CA a guy in my town had a light blue one. I thought it was cool.

  • better now. collective soul

  • The side stabilizer part of the wing had to become 40% larger . This stabilized the car (99.5%) and only added a little bit of drag

  • the superbird was a true winner sorry if my english is bad

  • hope a new cuda or a superbird is coming

  • they better not they will just ruin them like the charger. at least the did the new challenger right.

  • right on, we renamed the charger "The Apple"

  • the superbird was good soo good at is been banned ind

    motersport

  • Great song and Great Car!

  • nm i just seen it in the title lol

  • who sings this song???

  • MOPAR OR NO CAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • OMG, i love superbirds, what city is this in and can i get a ride in that!!!!!!!!

  • we sold it, but you can call the state police in Massachussetts. It was sold to a police officer there.

  • I used to own a '72 plymouth Roadrunner all factory except 440 installed.black, airgrabber hood etc one of the best combo's for that year as far as i m concerned but i remember now about all the V8 musclecars i had. Im not so sure now,i ve had a 1971 Fiat 124 sport coupe twin ohc 4 cyl,4 wheel disk brakes ,5 speed box what an amazing little car,the thing goes well and handles great at 120mph,so confident,i think the italians know a little about engineering im afraid.

  • I love those cars, best Plymouth's ever made.

    PS Thanks for the subscribe:)

  • The only thing missing is the engine sound instead the music

  • Hehe, I had not a Superbird but a Daytona!

  • What? No Burnouts????

  • this is a car I could only dream about!

  • turn down the music and let us hear the 440 6 pack

  • what a car. too bad the price of gas will kill you before the top end ever could!

  • i have a johnny lightning version of that car in front of me

    my 1:24 worth about $15

your real deal about 115,000 dollars maby even more

    nice car true classic

i was born a chevy fan i love mopar and chevy equaly

i love all american muscle cars
